If it makes you feel any better, I recently screwed up the mana_gem trigger values........ so I just removed the option from the auto-generated actions and forced it to a good default.
We really should change all of these to mana<= and mana_spent>=. Perhaps "mana_spent" is not really a great choice either.... but you get the idea.

How does simulationcraft handle molten fury? I specified the fight length as 570 sec. Does it just assume a section of that time is in execute range?

It handles it just like it is ingame, as soon as the target is <35% hp the bonus becomes active.
The following happens when you specify max_time=570
First iteration is started, when it reaches max_time/2 = 285s it looks how much damage has been done yet to the target.
SC now just assumes that the target is now at 50% hp and runs normal to the end.
At the end it looks at the time it took to kill the target:
Is it >570? Decrease the health
Is it <570? Increase the health
This is then done after every iteration so your average fight length is what you specified in max_time

I notice that the stat scaling feature doesn't seem to take into account raidbuffs and debuffs and whatnot. Is there a way to get it to take those into account such that it doesn't misrepresent things like telling me hit will still give me an increase when the simulation itself shows 0 misses because I'm hitcapped when i put my own faerie fire up?
Oh one other thing is the new Idol of Lunar Fury properly modeled in simucraft? I didn't notice the buff in the dynamic buffs list in my output.
I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm finally delving into this and want to make everything absolutely accurate so the results can't be argued against by the people I'm presenting the evidence to.

Hit and expertise are derived with negativ deltas, the sim looks how much dps you lose from substracting X hit rating.

The implementation looks good..... Run with save_profiles=1 and PM me the result. You should see ranged=idol_of_lunar_fury in the generated config file.

r3080 looks more sensible as far as mages are concerned.
Something to stick on a post-it somewhere, once spirit is over 700 r3080 says 2 points of Student of the Mind and 1 point of Arcane Meditation ( The World of Warcraft Armory) never has to use evocation so should probably be used for the T9 build. You can actually get enough spirit just by adding a couple of Purified Dreadstones in the right places but I assume your not going to bother re-gemming the T8 stuff.

Hm, is it better to call it like the actual buff?
Perhaps call it idol_lunar_fury or something, because I'd like it to be in a way that someone not fimiliar with the class gets immediately what this buff is.
For example 4T8 balance druid, a proc that turns your next starfire into an instant cast. - elunes_wrath
I don't think anyone not fimilier with druids will get what this does.
- t8_4pc_balance
That's more descriptive, they probably also don't know what it does, but at least they know "Ah, ok, that's a setbonus proc"

So I'm trying to take advantage of the armory importing, simulating both my main and off spec. I tried the following input and I'm getting an error (unknown option/value pair):
armory=US,mal'ganis,meaningful,talents=inactive
however,
player=meaningful,region=us,server=mal'ganis,talents=inactive
works wonderfully, I just had to dig around the Warlock simcraft thread where it was hidden. What am I doing wrong with the first string?

armory is a shortcut, to use secondary spec just prefix the name with "!"
armory=us,mal'ganis,!meaningful
should do it

warrior t9 profile not optimal
It seems full arp capped warrior has better dps. I made a profile which generates 300 higher dps than default Warrior_T9_19_52_00 in r3121.

Awesome! One of use will get to it shortly.
Thanks for taking the time to put it in a format easy for us to copy. Much appreciated!

Have we decided yet how we handle T9 profiles?
Because their are so many items to be discovered from heroic modes

I know Althor has applied his usual attention to detail and created several sub-tiers of T9 for Shadow Priests, but the very thought makes me numb when I consider how hard that would be to implement across the board.
So..... If there is only one profile, it might as well be a true BiS given no constraints on gear availability. However...... I'm also not thrilled about having to update these things every three days as new gear is discovered. Basically, whenever we feel class profiles have fallen far enough behind we'll refresh them. And I leave that up to the discretion of the person willing to do the work.....

Though hasn't all the gear pretty much already been discovered since they (accidentally?) released the items on armory?

Ah.... I was unaware of that. Let's just put the BiS profiles together then.

They might have taken the items down from armory but mmo-champion still has a list of it on their site.

I downloaded r3114 and this option does not appear to work.

Due to name conflicts with options for character talents, all of the buff/debuff overrides are now prefixed with "override."
So.....
override.heroic_presence=1

I've been wondering does the trigger "optimal_raid=1" also turn focus magic on for all the casters, or is that only when you set it next to the mage in the listing?

optimal_raid=1 only applies globally available buffs and debuffs.

So I saw something in the updates about a Rawr import. What are the details on that and how does one use it?
