I was comparing Castigator and Hatchet from noth with a pair of edgemaster's and Edge of Chaos OH and I noticed that Castigator shows a higher white dps than Hatchet does. It would seem more logical that a reduction in glancing would have a much higher white dps.

I've tried a few warrior spreadsheets in the past and never been quite satisfied with them. A friend directed me to this one, claiming it was the best he'd seen, and from what I've seen it seems to be. However, I'm unable to use it at all. :(
I use OpenOffice Calc for spreadsheets, and upon opening this, I'm greeted with plenty of "Error 503"s before changing any values. (Screenshot below). According to the help file, Error 503 is due to "Division by 0, or another calculation that results in an overflow of the defined value range." Some of them may be fixed by choosing an alternative item / enchant (ie: only crusader gives an error in the enchant cell for strength, fiery / lifestealing for the proc DPS cells, etc), but this removes a large amount of functionality. Has anyone else that uses OpenOffice experienced this, a workaround for it, or any other related problems / solutions?

What version are you guys using? In version 0.47, cell C58 should be:
[top](1-(1-WhiteDodges/100)^(5*(IF(P24
0,1,2)/IF(FinalAverageSpeed=0,1,FinalAverageSpeed)+WindfurySwings+HoJSwings+SSSwings+YellowS wings-0.8*F58/OverpowerCD-0.2*F60/ExeCD)))*B58*F58
That's with the "divide by 0" error fix. But don't go pasting that in, go back a page or to the first post and make sure you've downloaded the most recent version.

I'm using version 0.47 (the one from post #268) and still getting the errors. After replacing the current text in C58 with the text listed above it returns "#NAME?". :-/

I've had others report problems with openoffice before, if I get some free time, I'll try downloading it and see what the problem. First, can you turn off iterations? Second, what exactly do you do that causes those errors, or does opening the spreadsheet cause that?

With this new version, just opening the spreadsheets shows that.
How do i turn off iterations?

There is an option to turn off iterations, yes, but upon loading this spreadsheet they're turned back on automatically. If I attempt to turn them off with this spreadsheet open I'm greeted by an "Invalid Increment" error popup.
As for the Error 503's - they're there as soon as I open the spreadsheet.

Ok, I downloaded and tried out 0.47 on my machine. The error wasn't apparent in Excel, but OpenOffice must do something different that would cause the error to appear right away. Here's an upload with the fix(hopefully):
*Snip*
Celandro, I tried using your upload. The uploading worked fine, couldn't get the download URL to work. How long does it take to migrate?

Oye, forgot to save it. Let me try again:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/0f9cae/
Btw, there's something messed up with OpenOffice's Iterations. On my version, the flurry chance is way off.

Aha, this one seems to work fine, thanks. ^_^
*EDIT* Upon further inspection, all is not yet right with the world. Stat values are staying constant even when gear / enchants are changed (2032.12 AP, 33.36% crit, 13.2% hit, etc), and Heroic Strike / Overpower have Error 523 ("Function missed a targeted value, or iterative references do not reach the minimum change within the maximum steps that are set."). :-/

I think it didn't like the space in the file name. I changed it to an underscore and it works fine.

Not to be rude, is there anyway you can get a hold of Excel? I've tried for the last hour to get my excel version to work in open, and it's giving me quite a headache. I can't make heads or tails of Open's version of iterations.

Great spreadsheet Deathwing, I'm finding it really useful to decide what items to go for. :)
I do have a some observations that'll hopefully help too though:
*I've got no points in Imp.Execute and get a #Div/0 in the DPR field (B60) for Execute
*I've got Gauntlets of Heroism and they seem to be missing from the "Hand" sheet. I do go and add them each update, but it'd be great to have them in the original
*Ditto the Skull Splitting Crossbow
*You can't choose "None" on the Legs enchant field as there isn't one
*I've got 6 pieces of the Heroism set and the 40AP bonus, but there's nowhere to put it. I add it to one of the other rows to simulate it, but somwhere to put other set bonuses would be cool
*Eskhandar's Right Claw doesn't seem to have the proc built into the "NetItemHaste" field, possibly due to not having procrate info? It's a pity as it skews what it shows would be a worthwhile upgrade for me a little
*Same for Darrowspike, again procrate info is missing I assume, seems to be a right pain to get accurate info on these
Again, thanks for the great tool, I have a load of dkp I still need to spend on tanking gear in MC, so I won't be getting anything to help from there for a while, but using this to show that a lot of the ZG items can be used instead has helped a great deal. :D
A lot of the chat in here has helped refine my technique and talents for when I do get the chance to dps too. On trash I found I was fighting for top spot on the dps charts with one of our Rogues on my last MC run. Bosses are a lot more tricky to quantify as apart from Magmadar, I'm pretty much always MT/OTing something.

I believe this spread sheet is intended to compare end game level armor and weapons, but I could be wrong.
Edit: Oh yeah, Deathwing, the link on the first post still points to 0.47 and not 0.471

Sorry about that, it's been fixed.
Thanks for the feedback Alcohorlick, I'll work in the items into the next release. Set bonus is a bit trickier, I might have to add a seperate column for common set bonuses, similar to the item and raid buffs.
You're right about Eshkandar and Darrowspike, the data just isn't there. I feel bad information is worse than no information because it can be misleading. Speaking of such, has anyone calculated a PPM for the servo arm?

I thought you had already calculated the PPM with servo arm? Or were you just estimating what you had?
