I dont see how it can be. All the wws reports I have seen have WW being a abyssmal small part of total damage.

If It turns out to be such a big damage increase in the spreadsheet then there is a big disparity between theory and reality and the theory needs to be revised.

There's a bit of chicken and egg here, WW damage is fairly minimal for most fury players because WW isn't that great for most fury builds.

question is, will WW become a bigger part of our dps cycle after the patch? meaning, will WW become "better for (general) fury builds"?

Even if I push it as often as I can (which I normally do) its not alot of damage.

Hi all, knew to the whole theroycraft thing. I am trying to make sense of all the numbers and % that people are thowing around. It looks like I am seeing that 9% to hit is a good number to be at for maxing out damage? I have also read on here that 95 hit is a starting point.
Currently I am 32/29 ( I know I should max blood frenzy), I was toying with the idea of going fury, what I want to know is, with my current gear- I have the decap as a mainhand and can get a season 1 or 2 offhand easily will I be able to do as much damage right off the bat as my slam build is doing right now. I realize that fury will top my slam build damage, but should I hold off switching over till I get more +hit items?

95 hit rating takes you to 6% which when combined with precision takes you to the minimum 9%. The best way thing to do would be to plug both sets of gear (and spec) into the DPS sheet and see what's better. Keep in mind though that the DPS 33/28 reports will be a bit higher than what is typically achievable in game, due lag and human delay. There is a place to adjust it in the sheet now, but you still should not take numbers from the sheet as gospel. If your gear isn't available in the sheet, you can add it to the gear sheet or just plug in the raw stats at the bottom of the dps sheet.

Solarian Saphire in Warrior DPS Spreadsheet

First, I'd like to thank the people that have put so much time into the Warrior DPS spreadsheet. It opened my eyes in a variety of ways and I appreciate it greatly.

So on that note I'd like to give something back.

The Solarian Saphire trinket is listed as 70 ap (correct) and when equipped with improved berserker stance, adds 77 ap to the total. This is not correct when combined with Commanding Presence. With CP, the 70 ap is added first, then the 25% buff from CP is applied to that (making the trinket worth 88 ap) and then the 10% bonus from improved beserker stance is applied, making the total worth 97 ap, not 77 ap.

Just an FYI.

Optimal Slam Rotation?

Just hit lvl-30ish and got an ability called Slam. I also got a very nice axe with 3.6 attack speed, the one from the warrior quest. I have a few questions for those expert warrior theorycrafters out there.

The way I understand it, Slam resets the swing timer. So if I cast slam at time 0, 1.5 secs later slam hits, and the next white swing/auto attack would occur at time 1.5+3.6=5.1 secs, *not* at time 3.6. Is my interpretation correct?

Now, since the damage dealt by Slam is not normalized, in addition to the small bonus, Slam effective turns the attack speed of my weapon into 1.5 secs + lag, increasing its DPS substantially.

At my level, since I don't have MS or WW yet, assuming I have plenty of rage, what would be the best rotation? Wouldn't it be just Slam Slam Slam...? Should I wait to Slam after an auto attack? Why?

Finally, I read in elitistjerks.com that one of the best rotations involves 4 auto attacks, 4 slams, MS and WW. Why autoattack at all when you can just Slam right after Slam?

You need the white attacks (autoattacks) to get rage. Slam (actually no specials) give you any rage. So the best way is to do slam just after a white attack has landed, as you say you then prolong your swing time by 1.5+ sec (without imp slam).
