You've done a great job updating it so far, I hope my comments aren't putting you off . Just pointing out some things I was wondering about.
About Slam, the cycle you had included 3 instants and 4 slams (if I got it right) which is supposed to go off in a 9.7 sec period. Since Slam triggers the gcd (even though the cast time is only 0.5 sec), it's just not possible to fit in 7 gcds in 9.7 sec. As far as Slam cycles go, I think the one presented by Caesar (thread in WoW EU forums: WoW-Europe.com Forums -> Complete Slam DPS guide inside) is likely the optimum one. That cycle also contains autoattacks, it might actually be better to compute the 2h MS/Slam dps by only using this cycle (since Slam will affect your white attacks). The cycle is (with using Slam at the start of a swing, demands a >3.6 or possibly 3.5 sec weapon):
1. Autoattack, Slam, MS
2. Autoattack, Slam, WW
3. Autoattack, Slam, MS
4. Autoattack, Slam, (Hamstring)
(directly from Caesar's guide, Hamstring only if you have rage/threat, might be good if Sword specced, Hamstring can trigger SS procs I think). The Guide is really good, check it out.

I use that cycle on raids alle the time, nothing new .
The time is 14.81s, so maybe you got something wrong.

Ah, figured out what was wrong, the cycle time for the Slam cycle depends on the weapon speed of course (doh), so my fast weapon made it all go mental. Looking a lot better with Cataclysm. Cycle makes sense to me now, thanks for explaining it.
I still think it would be better to manually choose one from a number of preset cycles and then only output dps from that (not really a big thing, just something to think about).

You can enter your items now, lots of space avaiable and I don't plan to change anything there, so your items are "safe".
DPS should be more or less correct for DW, like in the original sheet. Buffs included now.
Thing to do next:
Sword spec
2.2 Haste+Proc nerf
Some small unimportant things
Need to know:
Can WF glance? (I say yes)
Does WF get Impale bonus? (I say no)
edit: forgot gem bonuses
|
I'm looking forward to using this spreadsheet, hopefully it will help me out (not very good at the math stuff). Definetely can't wait until the 2.2 haste stuff is added, I'm currently debating getting a Dragonspine + Dragonstrike combo with the nerf coming. I've received many yes' and no's. Hopefully the results will be good!

I noticed this too. Click on cell I7 on the Gear sheet and insert the following to the text that already exists there:
+IF(Talents_Buffs!$B$22,5%,0)
This fixed it for me. You'll probably notice that the total +hit% is not receiving the data from the talents_buffs page. Click on cell J7 and add the following:
+IF(Talents_Buffs!$B$32,3%,0)
This is a fantastic spreadsheet btw. I hope AllCOM will continues the great work :-D

I like the "oh noes, errors everywhere button", and it worked when I had some errors looking at the sheet.
How is the item database going? I noticed there were not many items already in the spreadsheet.

I don't think anyone is working on an item database, you will have to add items yourself. It's a lot of (very boring) work to type in gear into spreadsheets, I would rather have a spreadsheet with updated mechanics and no gear than one with crap mechanics and all the gear.
If you want to add gear, just type in the stats for the gear at the relevant page in the sheet, if you use one of the "pink" slots the item should be visible in the drop down lists.
The best solution would probably be to have all the gear in a separate spreadsheet and then link from the mechanics spreadsheet to that (you can link to other files I think?). In that way people could keep all their gear in separate sheets and not have to copy over them every time the mechanics sheet gets an update. Not sure it's possible though.

Hi dr_AllCOM3,
First of all congrats for the great job you did with this spreadsheet.
I've pumped my gear into it and I've noticed it shown less AP then I really had. I took a look into formulas and noticed that the AP formula is incorrect. It doesn't calculates the bonus from imp. zerker.
Also the base AP is (STR*2) + (3*Char level) - 20. As far as I understood from the formula you use STR*2 only.
Keep up good work.
Cheers

Sorry Avam, I really don't get what you mean. This entire thread is devoted to updating and maintaining the warrior dps spreadsheet. If you check the previous page you will find a link to the most recent spreadsheet by dr_ALLCOM3, why ask a question before even trying to read the thread. Download that spreadsheet, add your gear and try it. Then come back and ask questions if something seems wrong.

I'll just assume, that WF doesn't get the Impale bonus and can glance (Google tends to agree). Prove me otherwise if wrong.
### 0.5
Deathwish is 30% for 1/6th of the time (5% total) and Blood Frenzy is on top of everything.
Hope the extra attacks are correct. Also see if the Gems work correctly.
Test save/load please and try to break it .
Attention! When copying your old items to the Item file, do not overwrite the None's. They are needed like they are!

Hi dr_AllCOM3,
I see you changed the AP to use imp. zerker stance. But it is counted all the time regardless if 'Berserker stance' check box is not checked which is not correct.
Also I'm curious about the crit %. The formula seems correct, but the result is not similar with what shows on the armory. (can't log in right now)
We all agree that ~33 agi = 1% crit
So, I have 232 agi which is ~ 7% crit, 285 crit rating = 12.91% and cruelty +5%. This sums up as 24.93% crit. In armory it says I have 26.08% crit.
Now my question is where is this difference of ~1.15% crit comes from? It's a 'base' crit ? It's 'standard' number for all characters regardless level, race, class? Or it calculated based on these variables?
You should also add this number in the crit% formula, I'm not very sure tho whats up with it.
Edit: On armor formula: +IF(Talents_Buffs!$K$6,800,0) should be +IF(Talents_Buffs!$K$8,800,0), its CoR, not a 6th sunder
Cheers

I'm trying to put DST and Abacus in the sheet to try out some trinket setups, only I can't wrap my head around how to calculate the average haste they give could anyone offer some help on that part?
[Sorry if it's been asked before, I searched the thread but my Works Firefox didn't like doing that].

The load/save/delete scripts do not work at all for me, but then I'm using OpenOffice so I can't say if they work in excel. I get a runtime error ("Incorrect property value") when I open the dps sheet and when I try to click on the load/save/delete. The other versions of the sheet (including the SEP script) has worked fine in OpenOffice, so it would be nice if that compatibility could be kept (I totally understand if you don't have the time to do it though, would try to fix it myself but I just don't know enough about scripting in excel/openoffice).
About the incorrect crit value, it's not unlikely that there is a base crit chance. It's most probably the case for hunters (according to this post at wowwiki, repost from a now deleted post by Eyonix: Talk:Formulas:Critical hit chance - WoWWiki, the Warcraft wiki). It seems that the so called intercept for warriors at lvl 70 for crit chance is 1.15%.

In the old sheet they were modeled as:
Abacus: 22 passive haste rating
DST: 54 passive haste rating
I guess this is based on a tested ppm value and without any internal cd's.
I.e. for DST (with a ppm of 1.0, not sure that is correct, it's probably higher with instants): 325 *10/60*1= 54. Some people are saying that DST is getting an internal cd in next patch, then it will be different (in principle just replacing the 60 above with the internal cd time). And if the proc changes (proc chances changing with haste) it will be a bit more work to model the procs.

For a L70 (not elite) tauren (not chieftain) there is a base of 91 agi and 3.90% crit.
After that for every ~33.033 agi there is 1% more crit.
The 91 base agi at this rate would give ~2.75%, not 3.90%, that's the 1.15% difference.
Those values probably differ for other races.

It's good to see the old, incomplete, buggy spreadsheet being put to rest. I tried to make a go at it once, but I'm afraid this kind of advanced spreadsheet work is above my meager skills.
I have noticed one bug, however. +skill is not registering for axes. I had to be a little creative fixing it on the MH due too many nestings, but what I used appears to work correctly.
Buffed DPS!S9:
=IF(Gear!D21="Axe",Gear!M7,IF(Gear!D21="Dagger",Gear!N7,IF(Gear!D21="Sword",Gear!O7,IF(Gear!D21="Mace",Gear!P7,IF(Gear!D21="Fist",Gear!Q7,0)))))
Buffed DPS!S8:
=IF(OR(Gear!D13="Polearm",Gear!D13="Axe"),Gear!M7,IF(Gear!D13="2h Mace",Gear!P7,IF(Gear!D13="2h Axe",Gear!M7,IF(Gear!D13="2h Sword",Gear!O7,IF(Gear!D13="Dagger",Gear!N7,IF(Gear!D13="Sword",Gear!O7,IF(Gear!D13="Mace",Gear!P7,IF(Gear!D13="Fist",Gear!Q7,0))))))))
My changes are bolded. The OR could be continued for consistency on other multiple weapon types that are affected by the same skill (ie, 2h and 1h axes), but is not really necessary. Hopefully this fixes it!
Edit: Whoops! I forgot to note that a trailing ) needs to be added to S9. I'm sure you'd have figured it out on your own anway ....

Maybe when it's ready for the vast majority of warrior noobs. There are so many of them .
@Garithras
I forgot axes.
@Gruntle
What is this crit intercept thing? Just add the value?
I have 1,32% difference (make sure your items are correct, mine weren't like Wardancers).

I've done a little research on this agility thing. I took the base AGI for all races and the crit chance it says in the tooltip.
LVL 70:
Tauren - 91 agi = 3.90% crit => 91/33 = 2.757 + 1.14 ~ 3.90
Orc - 93 agi = 3.96% crit => 93/33 = 2.818 + 1.14 ~ 3.96
Undead - 94 agi = 3.99% crit => 94/33 = 2.848 +1.14 ~ 3.99
Troll - 98 agi = 4.11% crit => 98/33 = 2.969 +1.14 ~ 4.11
As you can see the 1.14 number is constant for all races. I've tested it on lvl 1 as well (4 agi = 1 % crit ?) and it gave the same numbers so I guess its the same number for all levels.
