Anyway thats not why I came here to post.
I have been having some problem lately. I used the 0.91 version of the sheet sucessfully for several days then suddenly excel complains about circular references as soon as open the spreadsheet and after that warning nothing what so ever happens with the dps values even if i change gear around.
I also tried to download the newest version 0.92 to see if that was any different but it wasnt, still getting the same warnings and having the dps values being static.
|
I think the spreadsheet has a problem with mongoose and circular references, I can't make it work with the circular refs enabled and mongoose. If that is your problem, removing the circular refs (by checking the "oh noes" box), then removing mongoose should solve the problem. You can then add mongoose again (but if I try to turn on circular refs again after that I get N/A values).

Some minor things in the spreadsheet:
- Heroic strike bonus damage is set to 157 (rank 9), it should be 176. Cell B7 on the Buffed dps page
- Cleave bonus damage is not added at all, the 70 is multiplied by the number of talent points in imp Cleave*40%, it should be 70*(1+talentpoints*40%). Cell B8 on the Buffed dps page.

Question, using the Talon of the Phoenix estimates me around 960dps on the sheet, when i switch the weapon to Blade of Infamy, it goes down to 920dps, and Rising Tide to 959dps. Is that a bug in the sheet that underestimates BT/Hyjal weapons? Seems quite impossible for the dps to drop so significantly while selecting a higher dps weapon.

I found that there is a space at the end of the 'Skill' field of the Blade of Infamy in the ITEMS document. This invalidates it and prevents the weapon skill being added into the dps calculation. You can manually remove the space to fix your problem.

Thnx for that fix, but im still wondering why Rising Tide would show a slight dps decrease overall, when the weapon after the buffs is still around 4dps higher overall.

Talon of the Phoenix is overall better statted than Rising Tide, which in addition to spending some budget on that huge 33sta, also does not have any crit. Aside from that, Talon has a 2.7 delay as opposed to RT's 2.6, so I guess that if you marked WF as one of your buffs, you will see some gains there aswell.

Great job so far!! If you add Hamstring into the 2 Handed Slam Cycle make sure to include value of hamstring in both increasing flurry uptime and Sword Spec procs.
Im also having an issue getting the 2h Weapon Spec talent to affect my dps but ill try to figure it out.
Also, Im wondering what kind of relative value people are finding for Crit vs Ap from the model. I saw a post earlier where dr_AllCOM3 said something to the effect that crit seemed worth significantly more for 2handed builds. But from the set he had and after i put my set in it seems that AP and Crit seem to be fairly equally weighted, thus implying split gems such as 4str/4crit would be best.

### 0.9.4
- Stuff fixed like Offhand weaponskill, 2h spec, HS and Cleave
- New and improved error button, you should rarely need it now
Yes, not all the weapons are good for DW. Fury loves stats and doesn't care about DPS.

I still get the mongoose circular error every time i load a new set. Before i was able to fix it by loading a new set and following the instructions in post 1751 but with the new Fix it Button it stays permenantly broken :-(

I have excel 2002 Version 10.2614.2625
The problem occurs when i open the newly downloaded file and i click load either to load setnames or talents. In either case it creates a #Value error in the cell F18. In the old version to fix it i first check the error checkbox you put in, then i change the mongoose enchant to "none", then i uncheck the error checkbox, and then i set the enchant to mongoose again. I have to do this every time i load either a new set of items or talents.
also, while the error originates with cell F18 i also get a #value error in cells F7, F8, I8, and the Final dps cell (merged cell)

I have the same version, allmost all settings on standard. Button does check checkbox, fill enchants with None then original enchants, uncheck.
Try this ### 0.9.5 with exactly the files provided.

Nope have same problem. I traced the problem to the Circular reference that involves Cell J21 on the buffed dps sheet. Also, if i manually change cell P5 on buffed dps sheet to "FALSE" the spreadsheet works now, but the values are not accurate. For instance, the Ag value for mongoose is 27 instead of what it was 63(?)
not sure if this is the issue but this link might be it:

I am still having the same issue. Even with 0.9.5. Tried clicking the Fix It button with/without mongoose. In number of combinations. Still doesn't fix it. Using excel 2002 Version 10.6834.6830.
It started the #value. As soon as i switched the talent build from 33/28 to 17/44.

Same. Office 2003. SP2.
On downloading the latest version, extracting it to a new directory and opening the spreadsheet, the dps cell and plenty of others on the calculations pages are showing ###### already.
On previous versions of the spreadsheet this would happen also, but I just changed weapon enchant from "mongoose" to "none", clicked and unclicked the fix box, then set weapon enchant back to mongoose again and all was fine.
Not sure what's changed now to stop it working at all.

I tried it on a different PC with Office 2003 and it worked there perfectly.
What about starting with an empty set? Or does it happen even then?

I cant get it to work either. XP Pro SP2 with Excel 2003 SP2.
I have a question for those that can get it working, or for anyone.
For 17/44, what is the best MH now (outside of the Warglaive)? I had been using a Dragonstrike but its not procing as much and the proc is less effective, I am pretty sure its not the best MH choice for me any longer.
I am thinking of either Swiftsteel Bludgeon/Tracker's Blade to take advantage of two same speed weps for flurry purposes or looking to get a slower MH like Blade of Infamy and pairing that with the Tracker's Blade.

It's been a while since I've read about this; am I correct in saying that the theory behind it is that you can get extra flurried hits in if MH/OH are hitting simultaneously? And has it ever been proven? I have seen some conjecture around with some small evidence to back it up, but never anything irrefutable.

Disquette has a thread in this forum ("flurry" is certainly in the title) with loads of info about flurry and it's weirdness.

Essentially the conclusion was that if you are using two weapons with the same speed, you get 4 hasted swings from Flurry instead of just 3.

I noticed some of the macros set cells to the text string "True" or "False" (well in a different language). When I changed them to the keyword true or false my errors went away. Specifically the fixit macro.

When I started out with an empty set it all worked fine until I went to edit the talents. The value went to ##### when I added Flurry. Then after that no matter what I did the value didn't fix.
