Very sad to hear you're moving on Pf, for reasons already stated a few posts above me. :(
The sheet is looking solid as ever. The only bug I've found is when attempting to use 0/3 Ruthlessness with Mutilate (divsion by 0 somewhere in the cycle calculations), but it's easy enough to side-step for the time being.

Sorry to see you go Pf. If anyone takes over the project they're welcome to the same disk space and bandwidth @ rogue.bleedo.net that Pf had. Contact me via private message here or on the www.vismaior.net forums if you're interested.

If no-one else steps into the breach I'd at least keep it up to date with entering new items as they appear as I'll be doing that anyway.
Don't have the free time I used to and unfamiliarity with all the background workings means I certainly couldn't do as good a job as pf of keeping it bug free and totally inclusive.
Edit: While I think about it I should report that most of the maces are missing the 0 0 0 in the socket field, causing the sheet to nix itself if you're mace spec :)

Pf i echo what everyone says above. Thanks for taking this over, there are alot of rogue out there that appriciate it.
I did notice a bug with the offhand weapons. Whenever i add an offand weapon, i can't get the sockets to take for some reason, causing all the values to go #na. I ended up copying a previous weapon to make sure i wasn't doing something wrong and it still didn't work.

An issue that I have already fixed for the next version. Look at cells Q8:W8 and change MHweaponstats to OHweaponstats. It should only be broken for offhand only weapons for fairly obvious reasons.
I've already completed a fairly long list of little minor things that are being fixed in the next version as well. Nothing major, just more polish and fixing some minor issues. I'm hoping the next version out in about a week or so will be polished and bug free enough for me to be completely satisfied with it. Hopefully, someone else can take the mostly bug-free sheet and have little to do other than add new gear until blizzard comes out with all new rogue mechanics which should be about a year down the road.

Thanks, Pf. I am also one of the many rogues using this spreadsheet. Came on here to find an answer to some of the problems in the new spreadsheet and found out you were leaving. Sad to see you go. This has helped me alot. As with the bugs, I can attest to not being able to add any new gear or jewels to it. But apparently you already know that, heh. Well, good luck on the know spead and wherever you go in life. Thanks again

I'm also a big fan and user of this spreadsheet and appreciate the current and former developers of it.
I've isolated one error in the current version and traced it to references to "zgbuff" in the NextStat worksheet. "zgbuff" is no longer defined but references to it remain. By removing "*(1+0.15*zgbuff)" from the formulas containing that reference the problems with "#NAME?" errors showing up on that sheet are removed.
There was another minor error in the VLookup column references on the "Gear _ Buffs" page but it wasn't effecting anything because no trinkets have +weapon skill currently. The problem was with some of the cells in the block (J53:058) and the column references were wrong. I don't remember exactly which cells were wrong but making sure those are correct will fix the problem.
No way in hell do I want to maintain this spreadsheet but I would be happy to serve as an editor and bug checker/fixer for the current or future developers. If you are interested in my editing assistance just contact me by PM.

Random thought, improved weapon totems needs buffing. Anyway, sheet has a little bit of a different look to keep down some of the bloat. Also, if someone with the hourglass trinket wants to do some proc testing on it as the listed 10% procrate from thottbot seems quite overpowered.
http://rogue.bleedo.net/
Version 2.2.1 1/29/2007
Added Wastewalker 4-piece bonus as a 2% chance to proc per thottbot. This as other random procs that give temp stat buffs is not implemented on the next-stat sheet, so crit/hit/agi will be worth slightly more than listed when active.
Added modeling to trinkets with on-use effects. (hourglass seems way to high based on thottbot proc % however).
Added socket info for most maces so mace rogues don’t have a broken sheet.
Added a few weapon procs back into the sheet. This includes TF/MSA and should model some new ones. The Night Blade is modeled as -100 armor as I have no data on procrate.
Added a few new items. Also added white gems since a bit of early lvl 70 gear will include them.
Added a 20% uptime guess for chance on hit +haste weapons.
Added Blinkstrike assuming a 2% chance on hit. (baseless assumption)
Added a Talents page to move the talents away from gear page as it was getting quite bloated.
Added a split on the gear page to keep DPS always in sight as well as what each column represents.
Fixed a bad link to mainhand weapons for offhand stats causing offhand only weapons not to work properly.
Fixed Kiss of the Spider to follow haste rating instead of 20% haste.
Fixed bracer list as the first 2 were not included in drop-down list.
Fixed a div/0 error with 0/3 ruthlessness and mutilate.
Fixed selecting "none" as an item so that it no longer breaks the sheet.
Fixed offhand mutilate attacks to now proc offhand mongoose/crusader enchants.
Fixed variables for offhand deadly poison VII.
Fixed some issues dealing with perma-haste and next-stat sheet
Fixed Windfury formula up a little bit.
Fixed mongoose enchant when using sword spec.
Changed how stamina was rounded off to get closer to actual HP values. Probably slightly off, but should be better than before.
Changed base armor value to 85% since smaller raids will mean less CoR/FF uptime, also corrected an old lvl 60 armor formula left in.
Changed resist rate for non-boss fights to 95%.
Changed a few leftover forced Improved Backstab critrate to the new talent model.
Changed default yellow miss to 8.6% for bosses and 5% otherwise.
Changed windfury formula a little bit to more correctly reflect in game mechanics.
Changed base crit formula to be more accurate (you start with about -.3% crit)

Just a thought...
Could you add Troll Beserk in?
At the moment I do it by hand every time. 10% haste every 3 mins makes a small but noticeable difference for us lucky few!

Hello, I like the sheet a lot.
I just got http://thottbot.com/?i=57479 . Is the proc included in the sheet yet? If not I can perhaps do some testing about the proc chance etc...
Cheers

It is not something I am planning on adding in. Right now, my work on the sheet is coming to a close and I am only concerning myself with bug fixes and possibly a few new items.

Since I have no idea of the proc-rate of the dagger, the sheet assumes its -100 armor to your target, however it appears I forgot to include it in Buffed DPS, so I'll fix that up sometime.

I was thinking out of interest sake, what would you guys say is the best spec to go for early level 70.
I am still lost between imp sap or no imp sap seeing that it is actually useful to use in 5mans. The only problem is all the talents you give up. Personally I am going to start out with swords until we switch over to only raiding at which point I will prefer daggers.
The few specs I had in mind is this:
20/41/0 - Good ol standard combat/swords aimed at max dps
13/41/7 - Almost the same missing some nice talents in assasination but with imp sap in sub
23/31/7 - Choice is between coldblood and quick recovery, though I will probably go for quick recovery in this case
Obviously I believe this is not a choice between dps but rather utility or nice to have talents. Any tips appreciated.

If you looking for a utility build but maintaining good dps in 5-10 man I have been running 11/21/29 build now. Double vanish, evasion and imp sap. Also with hemo its easy to stunlock a caster mob while the others deal with remaining mobs. When we get serious about the 25 man raids I most likely gonna switch to a heavy combat/assasination build though.

Damn I love the new look of the spreadsheet, with the split that always keeps your DPS fields in veiw, and no more side scrolling to find the talents section.
I have a friend with the Hourglass trinket, and through only anecdotal observation he claims the 10% proc rate might actually be accurate.
Does anyone know of an up-to-date and elegant parsing mod he could use to verify the proc rate?

So it's not a proc-per-minute but a fixed procrate instead? Interesting...

That lists it as 10%. Considering a 10% chance would give an uptime similar to that of crusader despite being 50% shorter duration, its interesting. If that is truely the case, you are looking at the next hand of justice.... except, this one would be better than the epics.

See that's interesting.
The true beauty of HoJ was that it scaled up as you got better. Generally every upgrade meant that a mainhand swing would cause more damage.
This is similar in that in can get better as you gear up (unlike Bladehand's Breadth which is fairly static), but only if you force yourself into prioritising crit rating.
All assuming it has a %per crit rather than ppm based trigger.

I just got this thing last night and I'll do some parsing on it to see if I can get some specific results. When I plugged it into the spreadsheet I was shocked to see the DPS jump per the spreadsheet - it blows everything out of the water including Bloodlust Broach which surprised me (per the spreadsheet). Hopefully will post again soon with more info.

Also, I came across this trinket the other day: http://thottbot.com/?i=59985 . If anyone has it, I would like some clarification on how it works.
It says it does 15 damage per swing, but thott data indicates 150 damage per swing. Anyway, questions that I would like answered to toss up a quick modeling of it:
Does the debuff stack? If yes, is there a limit?
Is it 15 damage or 150 damage per swing ?

As long as the thread is bumped, anyone willing to do the math real quick on how much value the bloodfang bonus has on mutilate solo-DPS? Or check my own?
Top end of my MH damage range is 288 (including AP), top end of OH damage range is 132 (including AP).
Figure that I can get off 3 hits during a CS on average (1.8MH, 1.7OH).
38% chance to apply poison w/o BF, 43% chance to apply poison w/ BF.
.62^3 - .57^3 = 0.053135 difference in chance not to apply the poison in the duration of my cheapshot (ie. will the first mutilate be with +50% or no)?
So, that's 5% * 420 * 50%, or 2.5% of 420. Comes out to 10 damage for me.
Counting just the extra mutilate damage on first mut (not the extra damage from DP stacks or from white damage from more hit/crit/etc or extra crit influence on mut), that seems to be worth 57AP.
How "fair" an estimate do we think that is as far as when I should give up the 3pc BF completely, with the outcome of the fight. With remorseless, the first Mut is more likely than not to crit, and I'd rather not "waste" it on an SS waiting for my DPVII to proc, but, again, the DPS increase from some blues is substantial.
Anyone have any thoughts on this issue? And, if 3pc BF is going to be part of my leveling set, which pieces would you keep? So far I'm down to 4pcs between DD helm, boots of the shadow flame, doomhide gaunts (BF for mobs that disarm), and bracers of finesse, and between my shoulders (like the dodge for soloing), pants/BP (I hate to give up a 100% slotmod item for BF) and belt I can't decide what to keep.

2g to whoever tells me how to unhide a sheet in excel 2007!
Also, any way we can get a row added on the gear sheet to input manual values? like below all the items, a place to manually insert stats for an item that may not be listed, or just for testing (like i could enter 20 into the crit field to see what i'd gain with 20 crit rating, etc etc.

Realistically, helm is probably going to last you the longest among the BF set (assuming you don't have a ZG head/leg enchant stashed away), as the
01:11:32 called in wowhead_item::start:324 Item not found!
rep enchant requires level 70. Legs will require the [Cobrahide Leg Armor] to surpass, which (at least currently) is (imo) somewhat overpriced at 200ish gold on Tichondrius (the farming requirement isn't that bad if you can skin, but still, you'd be spending time farming non-exp items for enchants you'll likely replace quickly anyway). Bracers, then, fall next fairly naturally due to the low stat allocation of the piece.

I don't think BF Helm is going to be his last peice of BF to replace since he mentioned that he has a DD helm.
