Quickstrider Moccasins on the spreadsheet give 15mp5 instead of 15 hit.
I was trying to figure out why it was telling me they were a downgrade when they're an obvious upgrade :P

They did say you could type the first letter, then hit the down arrow for a list starting there. I tried this with Excel 2002 and it doesn't work.

If you cant fit that in, an alternative would be changing the order the gems appear in, eg start at 8 agi gem and 16 ap etc, so its easy to select the proper gem. Really in 90% of sockets there will be only 10 different gems max for pve gear, no sense in scrolling though every possibly gem that wont find its way onto my gear.

All the cells where the stats are held use LOOKUP() which requires alphabetical order.

In all honesty, while it would be a great feature, it's certainly not one that's worth spending a lot of time on, which is why I said if it's not too much trouble. The reality is, as hunter's we'll only be using a small subset of gems. I'm sure the majority of users have the names memorized at this point, and the letter shortcuts would simply shave a few seconds off each time we rearrange gear.
Edit: The workaround for typing the first letter then hitting the down key requires that you actually put entries for the letter headers into the list it seems. Basically, they suggest putting into the list containing all the gems a letter heading before each group. Your list would look something like this then:
B
Balanced Nightseye
Balanced Shadow Draenite
...
Brutal Tanzanite
D
Dazzling Chrysospace
...
Delicate Tourmaline
E
Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond
...
Then, you could type the first letter in the cell, and since it would match an entry, the cell would select the D entry. Then you can hit the arrow that pops the list up, and you'll be on the D entry to start, since it's a valid list entry, and can begin searching for your match from there.

DST Help
I am not certain where to post this as it deals with Cheeky's spreadsheet, Hunter Help, and BM Hunter raiding so I will go with them all. I hope this doesn't get me in trouble.
First off let me state I use Cheeky's spreadsheet extensively and very much appreciate him taking the time to put together a spectacular tool (been using it since around revision 17 or so I think). I am stuck at the point were I may be considering going after a DST.
I currently use the Sunfire bow (2.9 spd), I have the Wolfslayer but never was able to show the actual gains from using the faster weapon in blasted lands and I hate the gun animation and I noise I have to admit. An example WWS is given below, this one for Lurker:
1193 dps on Lurker (Scorpion)
Fola - WWS
1099 dps on Gruul (Ravager)
Fola - WWS
Using version 27 of the spreadsheet and replacing the hourglass with DST along with taking 4 points out of improved aspect of the hawk I pickup ~95 dps. If that truly is the dps increase I will definitely wait for it to drop. My struggle is with that being the actual value.
2.1 speed (15% static quiver and 20% serpent swiftness)
2.1 speed/1.3092 (dragonspine haste effect) = 1.604 spd
I use a 1:1 Rotation, Steady/Auto with KC (double macro setup)
Here is where I get a little leery, when I start plugging points into Imp Aspect of the Hawk what concerns me is having them both up at the same time leading to bad clobbering at unpredictable times.
If both up:
1 point in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.03 = 1.557
2 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.06 = 1.513
3 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.09 = 1.472
4 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.12 = 1.432
5 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.15 = 1.395
The spreadsheet does show diminishing returns
0 talent points to 1 = 37 dps gain
1 talent point to 2 = 21 dps gain
2 talent points to 3 = 13 dps gain
3 talent points to 4 = 6 dps gain
4 talent points to 5 = 6 dps gain
My question is thus: Is the reduced gain of the imp aspect of the hawk talent points due to clobbering? Is the clobbering modeled?
If not the trinket is still a 53 dps gain over previous builds using 5/5 imp hawk and taking it to 0/5 imp hawk (leaving attack speed at 1.604 which I can handle with my ping).
Looking at it the max I would go would then be 2 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk and deal with a little clipping to pickup 58 more dps on top of the 53 dps gain from the trinket alone. I am just trying to get some discussion that I should focus very hard on getting the trinket over any other upgrade as it is a 111 dps upgrade much larger than any single slot ever will be again.
Thanks for taking the time to read this long babble and thanks in advance for any discussion and help you can provide.

Definitely don't do that again. I'm sure the moderators don't appreciate triplicate posts.
In answer to your question, I model clobbering based on the latency and shot rotation you provide. The [Dragonspine Trophy] is going to be a huge advatage for you with the [Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix]. If the ppm numbers are accurate (I can't test myself to verify) then the math is pretty close to spot on.

As you have probably noticed, i know squat about the workings of spreadsheets. That being said if you can't reorder the gems maybe just add another gems called "N Delicate Living Ruby", "N Bright Living Ruby", etc so it shows up next to the default gem (None).

Dude, just scroll down. I'm not adding more entries I have to manage the stats for, it's complicated enough. I know the gem selection process isn't pretty, but it does work right now, and the gem stats seem to be accurate.
If I do anything with gems it would be to start enforcing metagem requirements, since I've burned myself on this suggestioning gem choices to guildmates that canceled their 3% crit damage.

Hey Cheeky, I have a WWS of glancing blows for you. Actually a couple. First is last night's gruul:
Mag1
Clamps - WWS
Breakdown: pet had 25% glancing, damage reduced to 73.6% of original on average (not including crits). Claw recieved no glancing blows (this gives precedence to pet focus dumps ignoring standard melee rules).
Mag2
Clamps - WWS
Breakdown: pet had 24% glancing, damage reduced to 74.2% of original. Both claw and kill command received 0 glancing blows.
Hydross
Listerfiend - WWS
Breakdown: 27% glancing, 78.6% of average damage. Screech and bite received no glancing blows.
Mag3
Clamps - WWS
Breakdown: 22% glancing, 73.5% of original damage, claw and kill command, once again, do not suffer any glancing blows.
It seems a glancing blow reduces damage to 74% on average. However, that does not account for critical hits (as I am 99% sure when you glance you cannot crit), which will reduce the damage further. The rogue number of 74% reduction seems fairly accurate. It is too early and I havent had my coffee yet, so I won't attempt the math on crits and total damage reduction at the moment.

Special attacks do not glance.
[Edit] Nor do crits.
On the first WWS, we see the following:
Average damage for normal hits: 129
Average damage for glancing hits: 95
Normal*x = Glancing
x = Glancing/Normal
x = 95/129
x = 0.736
Reduced to 74% of normal damage.
[Edit] 26 out of 94 attacks were glancing hits. I.e. 27.7%. Keep in mind these are very small sample sizes, but they indicate pets following the same as Rogues / Warriors (not surprising).

Crap, I just noticed I used the wrong column for average damage. Going back and editing my numbers, it looks like you're right about the 74% damage.

Next version will have the same glancing values as Rogues/Warriors. I have it so you only see glancing if there is a 15 point difference between attack skill and defense.

You glance against targets +3 Levels higher than you, even if you have +Weapon Skill.
Not that there's any +Pet Weapon Skill stuff... yet? :P

I've actually seen my pet glance on everything from a lvl 70 to boss. Not sure on the rates of the lower stuff though or if they are just strange anomalies
I remember distincly seeing a glance and looking up to my target window to confirm I was fighting a 70.

Some mobs have an increased Defense skill, which causes glancing blows to occur.
Even with +Weapon Skill, glancing blows still occur against targets that are +3 Levels higher.

The old mechanics scaled based on weapon skill, but I know those were changed in the 2.0 patch. My calculations are all modeled on that right now. Since I don't really care much for non-boss DPS the way I have it works for now.

The old mechanics also had you glance on bosses, even with high weapon skill. The glancing blow damage reduction was just affected, so that with high enough weapon skill, a glancing blow did the same damage as a normal hit.

Cheeky, ever saw any Hemo math?
And I wonder if it could be added in spreadsheet. (if it proves to be worth of the work)
Hemorrhage - Spells - World of Warcraft
As I understand it adds 10 damage on every physical attack(auto, steady, multi, petmelee, gore...) and is modified by damage multipliers and critical strikes.
Sadly I cant find any (basic) math on it and I'm raping EJ search function for quite some time now...

Its a lot more than 10 IIRC, because it stacks. I think I remember 50 being about what Hemo stacks up to. I could be completely wrong.
