Forgive me if this is a silly question, but I just downloaded the spreadsheet and none of the buttons seem to be working for me. I click on them and they don't change/update anything. I'm running Vista and Excel 2007, would that cause a problem with the spreadsheets? Any information would be appreciated, thanks!

AH, so when I see live DPS test result when using the "3:2" I should actually compare it to the spreadsheets result for a 1:1 steady rotation? Ah, I can see where you are coming for with this.

so, to model the priority (arcane), I should use a

/cast !auto Shot
/castrandom Arcane Shot, Steady shot
(with out all the other crap)

Be sure to enable macros.

v43: Is Shot Rotation 1.1x and Macro? Spam a valid combination?

I'm seeing huge dps number differences between castsequence and spam. Or is Spam only applicable to 3:2 ?

Is that the equivalent of the spam macro to generate:

Is there a reason that it says my crit chance is 26.44% when ingame it says that my crit chance is 27.03%? I have double checked everything my gear, gems, enchants, spec ect. is all correct.

The spreadsheet assumes a -0.6% crit modifier against Level 73 targets.

A further suggestion to improve the tool: looking for the item you want to put is fairly painful, as the lists are very long. Could the ilvl be added before the item name? In this way I'd know the items I want to check are in the bottom end of the list, while people in greens could still check what is their next upgrade easily.

Hi there,

I'm a bit puzzled with the stat / dps-increase table at the results tab. For instance, with my setup it says 1agi ~ 0.431dps while 1ap ~ 0.224dps. This means AP>agi for me according to this table (which, IMO, seems to be incorrect). Adding 10agi manually in the gear tab however gives more DPS than adding 20AP manually, which is what I expected. What am I missing here?

I kinda suck when it comes to check dps from gear and so on but I still wanna do all that it takes to be in top of dmg all the time so I would like to ask someone to please help me.

The correct DPS upgrade algorithm is tricky because there are 2 variables: the dps upgrade including +hit and the dps upgrade not including +hit.

For example, I can get a higher dps by apparently lowering my dps swapping an item with +hit for one without +hit, and then swapping a second item without +hit with an item with +hit. Searching for such upgrade paths is really too much to ask of the spreadsheet, IMO. There are more important things for Cheeky to spend his time on!

I messed around with that loot rank site a lot and could never get it to work right. What exact values ere you putting in? It never seemed very accurate when I did it.

I know Cheeky is busy working on lots of stuff. I was serious when I asked if he had a paypal account so those who "wanted" could give him a donation for his time.

That's because the first cast that procs the GCD would prevent the second cast to happen. In this case, Steady Shot would proc the GCD, and so Arcane Shot won't fire.

Hello and thanks for the spreadsheet.

Curious if there is anyway you can add drums of battle to this for the 80 haste.

Most high end raiders use haste drums on every encounter. This 80 haste affects the outcome of everything within that final spreadsheet values.

Everyone in the group has them so they are always up. Can this be a constant buff in the spreadsheet? As of now im just making a custom item with the same stats as a current item and smacking 80 haste on it in the spreadsheet to accomplish this.

Also is bloodlust availiable am i missing it?

Using your spreadsheet i was really putting alot into gettign the dragonspine. But fully raid buffed on Teron im just not seeing a dps inscrease. I believe with haste pots and drums running +2 bloodlusts the DST procs are just overboard.

Im just lookign for more RAID specs out of the spreadsheet is that possible to add those or atleast the haste drums. Thanks!!

Today I was testing the proc rate of dragonspine, on the contrary to the assumed internal 40 sec cooldown on Cheeky's (you can change it I know) I witnessed Dragonspine proc twice in 23 seconds.

I was always under the impression that the CD was 23 sec. It was posted here on EJ that it was 23 sec.

I've noticed with v43 that if I try to change buff profiles in Excel I get an error that I'm trying to change a protected cell. The rest of the spreadsheet functions work fine.

Incidentally, Cheeky, I use the import feature whenever a new version of the spreadsheet is released, since I'm using all 10 profiles. Very useful.

From the testing I did in this same thread a few months back (post here), I found it to be 20sec internal cooldown for the DST. Unless the mechanic has changed, it should still be the same now. WWS log has expired tho.

First post and a big thanks, this spreadsheet has helped me a great deal!

On to my question. I have a Shifting Shadow Draenite (+3agi, +4stam) equipped on my shoulders currently. When I switch to a gem that matches the same socket (bonus is still achieved), but with higher agi (for sake of testing, tried a Delicate Crimson Spinel +10agi and a Delicate Blood Garnet +6agi), the dps listed actually goes down by a fair bit (about 10 Hunter DPS). Perhaps I am missing something regarding why that is the case?

As an FYI, I am using v43 but get the same results in v39 as well.

Are you perhaps deactivating your Meta gem by doing this?
