Feature request
Would it be terribly difficult to add an option to select which server the spreadsheet imports the armory from?
My work has armory.worldofwarcraft.com blocked, but allows wowarmory.com. = )
Thanks Cheeky, regardless of the response, you rock!

I have sent Lactose a PM as to when the next revision would be released. I truly hope its soon, as 2.4 will be released 3/25. He acknowledged that the next revision will contain all gear in 2.4 and some corrections on the current release. As I said, I hope this comes out soon, before 2.4
Good Hunting.

You do know Lactose doesn't control that, don't you?

Heh. I might do that just to get around your work filter. I hate that kind of bullshit.

I have what may sound like a rookie question, but here goes. In the spreadsheet the default gems loaded into the waist item for yellow socket is always the wicked noble topaz. In my case my hit is only at 82, or 95.95%. I find if I put in the Glinting Noble Topaz instead of the wicked, I get a bit more dps calculated. Here is my question. Is this higher dps only considering the assumption I am attacking the level 73 target the hit percentage is based upon? In other words, if I am in pvp against another lvl 70 player, wouldn't my dps be higher with the Wicked, not the glinting like the spreadsheet shows?
If someone can explain the significance hit % has in the spreadsheets calc I would appreciate the education. I don't mind loading up on glinting gems as long as they truly will boost my dps.

Who knows?
I've gone through and compiled PMs and posts, updated list of missing/incorrect items, etc. can now be found in the bug list.

Look, Lactose, we'd rather you didn't eradicate the whole human race.

Anyone good with Macro's want to make a version that works with Microsoft Office 2004 for the Mac?
Thanks,

Cool. I'll start getting them in. I'll also fix the auto updating thing, and maybe track down spell crit modifiers based on level difference. Maybe.

It would not be a simple conversion, it would require a lot of rewriting. As well, unless Cheeky decides to release an unprotected version, the intrepid macro-er would have to do all the work Cheeky has done from scratch. In other words, no.

One thing that would perhaps be a nice tweak is to save the Macro and Latency value on the Shot Rotation page with a players profile.
At teh moment when loading differnt profiles you have to set the macro and letency to the required correct setting each time. For example; my BM profile is set to a 1:1 Hand-weave, and my SV profile is set to a cast sequence with a 0.1 latency.

Not a bad idea. I'll see how easy it is to do. (i.e., how easy is it to handle saving it out to the file and loading it back in. Saving per profile is trivial.)

I play both a hunter and a shaman.
For the Resto/Elem optimization of my shaman, I use Binkenstein's spreadheet.
One feature I particularly like, is the way he "ranks" items by slot, depending on their DEP / HEP (Damage / Healing Equivalence Points), the weight of each stat depending on the gear you currently have selected.
I noticed on the Result & Settings sheet that you give an Equivalence system for each stat, based on the gear currently equipped. This might be too much work, but are your items lists built in the same way, so that you could give one DEP value for each item, and eventually sort items (maybe in drop down menus), from the highest DEP to the lowest one ?
This has been said several times already, but the work you have done, together with Lactose, Glau and all the active actors of this thread, is highly appreciated by the hunter and theorycrafter's community.
Thanks for that.

Spreadsheet Stamina question
I'm 5/5 in Endurance Training just to make farming a little easier on me and the pet, and was working through the spreadsheet matching up my current gear. Fantastic work, BTW, really amazing effort. Thanks! I'm not seeing exactly the right stamina calculation, and I think it's because the Gear page isn't pulling in the 5% to stamina from talents in cell F92. I hope I'm not missing something obvious like a Noob.
<Edit> Correction--it's not the talent, it's a gear error. Stamina is correct hand-calculated as 107 base + 176 from gear and gem=283, but the spreadsheet is not pulling in the +12 stamina on Resonating Axe. Easy enough to work around with Custom Gear, but thought you'd like to adjust.

That'd be great. I don't understand what purpose blocking certain domains serves, all it does is make me whip out some google-foo and makes the IT people work harder to determine that I'm goofing off on "company time". Which is a moot point because technically I work 24/7. If I happen to find a few 10 minute windows during a 12 hour work day, I think I'm entitled to them, and they can't fire me.
All the WoW europe stuff works fine. *shrug*
