Cheeky, do you have any plans to add in the Tsunami Talisman proc?
Also, your Romulo's poison vial proc on shot percentage seems a little high to me, I can provide an amalgamation of my WWS results with it for quite a few bosskills if that helps.
Are there any plans on making this work with OpenOfficeCalc? My lack of Excel on my computer annoys me and in OpenOffice I only get error#504 in all calculation windows.
I see that the rogue spreadsheet (http://rogue.raidcal.com/) works in OpenOffice, but I dont know how much work it would be to make it work.

I think I'll have most of the issues with Open Office solved. Someone went through and figured out which equations need to be changed. Excel seems to be much better at reading my mind than Open Office is.
Downloaded Cheeky's spreadsheet and started playing around with it, but ran into some trouble. When I selected Void Reaver's Greaves I couldn't set any sockets at all. Wondering if this is an error in your sheet or if I screwed something up somewhere (The latter very possible :p).
Other than that, thanks for a fun way to pass time between wipes!
Cheeky, could you explain to me the mechanics of the TOTH mana recovery percentage? I'm really confused as to what it represents
In the Calculations tab, the Thrill of the Hunt section computes the average mana saving on a spell from the talent. In effect, I modify the cost of the spell in the Shot rotation by this value to reflect the mana returned.

What error message is it giving you? The cells should be user-changeable, and it should properly list the correct gems available. I just tested this myself, and it seems fine with the latest version. Are you using Microsoft Excel? Are any other item behaving like this?
Here is the changelog:
- Fixed some item values (Steallaris, Merciless Gladiator's Crossbow, Pristine Fire Opal)
- Added in proc calculations for some trinkets (Hourglass of the Unraveller)
- Added in new buffs (Flask of Draenic Wisdom)
- Fixed Bracer socket bonuses for Resilience.
- Added new gear (Cowl of Defiance)
- Updated Blood Elf Racial stats. (Agility and Intellect were incorrect).
- Added Serpent Sting to the shot selection. I model this as the total damage of the sting with a cool down of 15 second. This isn't ideal, but works with the spreadsheet. If you are casting Serpent faster than once every 15 seconds (or pretty much at all) this spreadsheet isn't really going to help you.
- Separated out the +RAP gains from passive "on-proc" trinkets and items into their own section in the Calculations tab. I did this to better allow for people to compare paper doll RAP figures with the spreadsheet. I include the averaged out effects of on use +RAP gain for equipped trinkets, but only for informational purposes, they are not added into the RAP total.
- Added Scroll of Agility (level 5 only) in the buffs tab.
- Most of the sheet should work in OpenOffice now. Thanks to Paegan of TKASomething for his assistance.
Next features I plan:
4 piece set bonus for Beast Lord
Making it easier to identify gems stats
Items that effect pet stats properly accounted for (Such as [Leggings of Beast Mastery])
Flags to average out on-use Trinkets
Flag to average out The Beast Within for Hunter and Beastial Wrath for Pet
Gear updates as I learn about them
Sheet of timing information for [Dragonspine Trophy]

Sorry for being vague.
On the gear tab, I select Void Reaver's Greaves on the leg spot, but I can't select what gems I have socketed in them. The drop-down menues just contain "none".
I'm using Excel 2007, and all other items I've tried work so far. Downloaded the spreadsheet just a few hours ago, so I take it it's the latest version.

The version number will be the last one on the Change log tab. I'm not seeing any issues with 23, but then again, I wasn't seeing this issue with 22. If you sleect cells X61:C63 on the gear tab, you should see text indicating what colors it believes the sockets should be. If they say Re, Yellow, or Blue then cells Z61:Z63 should say "Gems" instead of "None". Cells A61:A63 should also have the gem color listed.
There is still a bug with the cooldown for the Growl ability in Open Office. Please don't use Growl and everything seems to work fine.
Also, I have no idea how to get the Visual Basic scripts that handle the shot rotation buttons to work. And Open Office experts know how VB scripts get translated?
Netherstrand Longbow is missing as are nether spikes. It might be interesting to see the change in ap to crit ratios with these weapons.
Any ideas on handling the proc?
To be honest, I'm not too interested in modeling a weapon that exists for a single fight and is an obvious order (or two) or magnitude better than anything else.
Personally I'm not too interested in the 25% damage increase, if I were you I'd ignore it. While it is amazing, what changes the ap to crit ratio is the "Increases your ranged weapon critical strike damage bonus by 50%" effect.

The thing is to use this weapon I have to swap from my gun to the merciless xbow (for p1 and p2), swap quivers, and all my ammo (hurray for instant mail) so going the extra step of stacking crit gear isn't exactly hard or insignificant.
First, great work Cheeky. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
I just downloaded the newest version of your spreadsheet and there appears to be a phantom red gem, Delicate Living Ruby, somewhere in the calculations.
My crit should be 22.56%, but keeps calculating out at 22.76%. Additionally in the gear tab, under the gem counts I show 2 red gems, but I only have one.
I have gone over my inputs several times and I don't think I missed anything, right now I have just resorted to subtracting 8 agility manually. Is this a bug, or just user error? I am leaning towards the latter myself.
Quick question, Cheeky - Does your spreadsheet take into account the procs on both Hourglass of the Unraveller and/or Tsunami Talisman? Can't easily tell by looking at how my DPS changes. Thanks, keep up the good work!
You probably were testing out gear, and in one of the gear slots used to have a piece with sockets, and that old piece had a red gem in it. When you changed the gear slot to a gear piece that doesnt have a gem slot, the red gem is still being counted until you select the cell and change it to "none"

Yes, it now supports the random procs from Hourglass of the Unraveller and the Tsunami Talisman. You can see how they operate in the Calculations section.

If you use Microsoft Excel and enable macros, it will automatically clear gem selections when the item changes. If this isn't working for you, please let me know.
I stopped by to let you know about an issue with IAotH not effecting dps in the spreadsheet. So the numbers i was using on that recent thread on the Wow hunter forums were off considerably. Apparently I just had an old version of the spreadsheet.
Have you looked at updating for the AoV changes on the ptr currently?
Is it possible to add something for Surv that lets you see the net DPS provided by EW with X number of melee in the raid. For example i was comparing my current spec with my old mm spec and found that with ideal buffs i would need 7 melee types in the raid to get equivalent dps. If i had average buffs i would need closer to 13 melee types in the raid. Now i do realize that white dps will have varying effects based on class and spec. All I was really looking for was the base numbers.
I tried using version 23 with OpenOffice last night and Error 504 was displayed in all the cells involving macro's, there also seemed to be an issue with the drop down menu's.

Honestly, I have no idea how to handle the changes to Aspect of the Viper. Even if I knew what the changes in rate were, I'm not sure they are meaningful to a tool such as this spreadsheet. I think I can provide different regeneration rates, and maybe be able to compute mana longevity. We'll see if someone does the research and gets the rates, and cut-off points.

I'm using Open Office 2.1 if that helps.
Open Office is really a pain in the balls. I'm downloading Version 2.2 now, and I'll see what's wrong. I only had used it previously in a Solaris environment, and besides the Growl bug, everything seemed to be working.
