Hunter Spreadsheets -- In development - Page 22

Was just directed here by Cheeky, this is truly a wonderful resource.

I just wanted to throw my spreadsheet out here as well. I use it strictly for gear comparison, not absolute numbers crunching, which means I can make the convenient assumption that most factors cancel, and I can just model a basic shot rotation.

I have already been made aware of its deficiencies, forgive me for coming at this late in the game where so many have trod before, I am only just now learning some of the work that has been done on actual cast times and such.

I'm wondering if it is worthwhile to stack haste rating to bring a slower weapon to a more desired speed.
Thinking about using a 3.00 bow with the glove haste enchant + libram of rapidityx2 + crystalweave cape. Would that be going overboard? Also does anyone know how much budge point haste rating costs?

According to WoWWiki, all ratings cost the same (with a StatMod of 1.000).
As for whether or not more passive haste is worth it, it really depends too much on your latency & reaction time - as well as non-constant hastes, and your ease of shifting into them.

Just found some small errors while playing around more with Cheeky's spreadsheet:

- Shadowmoon Destroyer's Drape has completely wrong stats
- Haste-ratings from custom items do not appear on the gear tab if that item is selected
- The stats for the various versions of the Band of Eternity are different from the data on wowhead (don't know who's right =)

Encountered a little curiosity.
If you put 70 AP on your weapon, it shows more "total" dps, than 35 Agi.
However, if you put 4 gems with 8 agi in your gear, "those" show more damage total than 4 gems with 16 AP

I filled in the Cheeky's SS and it's a neat toy. Of course there's no way for me to check it's accuracy, but the effort is impressive. Another bug is that the SS does not consider the Nightbane kill quest reward a blue gem.

Maybe you are right at the point where 2 AP and 1 Agility are "balanced". Then if you add too much Agility you find AP would be better.

I can't imagine the spreadsheet is showing much difference between Agility and AP in either case. Anything less than 1 DPS could be the result of rounding errors.

It's in the sheet, it just does not trigger Blue condition for gem bonuses. At least on the engineering goggles.

I gotta ask this since I've heard both answers, do hunter shots use the 1 roll or 2 roll system?

I use a 1-roll system. There hasn't been any conclusive tests as far as I've seen.
For Hunters, it doesn't have a great impact, though, due to us not being subject to dodge, parry, glancing, or the dual wield miss penalty.

In that case, would you say that HR is still better than CR when I'm not hit capped, then? HR clearly wins for a 2 roll system but can CR be better otherwise, due to mortal shots?

Void Reaver Greaves, isnt showing the correct vaules in the spreadsheet. Other then that this is as have been said before, a very helpful addition to the Hunter Community.
