Everyone in the group has them so they are always up. Can this be a constant buff in the spreadsheet? As of now im just making a custom item with the same stats as a current item and smacking 80 haste on it in the spreadsheet to accomplish this.
Also is bloodlust availiable am i missing it?
Using your spreadsheet i was really putting alot into gettign the dragonspine. But fully raid buffed on Teron im just not seeing a dps inscrease. I believe with haste pots and drums running +2 bloodlusts the DST procs are just overboard.
Im just lookign for more RAID specs out of the spreadsheet is that possible to add those or atleast the haste drums. Thanks!!
|
Much easier way to do this. On the Gear page, scroll down to the blue Hand Adjust line and just type in 80 or however much in the column for Haste. You can easily add stats to see how it would effect your DPS, like manually typing in the value for the drums, or for heroism.

Quick question, is the draenei racial 'heroic presence' taken into account in this spreadsheet? I looked for it but couldn't seem to locate it. I definitely factor in the 15.77 hit rating it grants when calculating my dps and was wondering if it was already included in the spreadsheet or not.

Heroic Presence is included in the calculations.

Just throwing this out there: Mac Office 08 cannot use VB. Period dot the end. Will never be able to, so if you intend to use Cheeky's spreadsheet to the full extent possible, use an older version. I found this out after getting it, so I thought I would pass the info on. I currently hand input everything, and it's a pain in the ass, so I recommend an older version!

cheeky's spreadsheet
I'm not sure if this is happening for anyone else, but the shot rotations chosen per profile are not coming up on the Settings and Results page for the given profile.
Is there something I'm missing...as far as input goes? Everyone's shot rotation shows 0 for me.
I've tried to reset the rotation and then choose it again as well.

I've been fiddling with the spreadsheet for a couple of hours now and i can't get the crit % right. It should say around 34.57%, but when all gear is inserted into the spreadsheet and talents correct, it still says 37.73%.
Whats up with that?

If you are Survival specced and have Master Tactician (at work so I can't see your armory) then it equates to about 3% crit. which would show in the spreadsheet but not in game.

You can always go to the Calculations tab and trace the generation of any derived stat. Usually that will save a lot more time than fiddling with gear or posting here.

I'll get it in for a release later this week.
The Custom Gear tab should have everything you need to play around with it right now.

Older versions of Mac Office don't work with any of the VB stuff, either. The only way to use the spreadsheet to its fullest is with a copy of Parallels and the Windows version of Office

Shot Rotation tab shows Steady cast time as 1.3 secs -- I have 0 haste in addition to the 15% quiver haste. I didn't think quiver haste affected SS cast time...I swear Quartz lists it as 1.5secs.
Am I just wrong and that everyone's SS is 1.3 seconds with quiver?

First, thanks a million for all of the wonderful work on this awesome tool! It is by far the best class spreadsheet that I have seen.
Possible bug concerning rotations.
The 1:1.X button with both Multishot and Arcane Shot selected works fine when unhasted with either the Hand-Weaved or Castsequence Macro? options chosen.
However, when I enter the haste rating for Rapid Fire in the Hand Adjust area on the Gear tab, the updated "1:1.5" shot rotations are not working out as expected.
With Castsequence selected, I get the expected rotation that squeezes in some extra steady-autos and does a 17 shot cycle with 7 steady-autos and arcane shots after the 1st and 5th of them and multishot after the 3rd.
However, with Hand-Weaved chosen, I get an 11 shot cycle with 5 steady-autos and the arcane shot after the first steady auto with no multishots. Even if I reduce the Latency from the default 0.2 to 0.1, I still do not see any multishots. The rotation does change though to a 1:1.3 rotation with 3 steady-autos and the arcane shot after the first steady.
To see where the multishot would come back in, I tried haste ratings of 400, 300, 200, and 100. It was not until HR 100 that the multishot was brought back in.
Is this related to the GCD client-side modeling for Hand-Weaven? Is this as intended? Doesn't seem like it should work that way and that multishots should still be included in the rotation.

Quiver haste and Serpent's Swiftness (and Quick Shots/Rapid Fire/Troll Berserking/Bloodlust, for that matter) do affect steady cast time (but not the GCD triggered by casting steady).

Spreadsheet Macro Definition
First of all my compliments on the great job Cheeky! Keep it up!
My question: In the "Shot Rotation" tab, Macro choice you have 3 options: Hand-weaved, Castsequence & Spam. Handweaved and castsequence for the 1:1.X rotation are I guess pretty self explanatory. But, when you say spam, what exactly is the macro that you use? I am asking this because there are a couple of alternatives for this term:
1st Spam Macro 1:1.X (only arcane)
...
/cast !Auto Shot
/castrandom Steady Shot, Arcane Shot
...
2nd Spam Macro 1:1.X (only arcane)
...
/cast !Auto Shot
/cast Steady Shot
/castrandom Arcane Shot
...
3rd Spam Macro 1:1.X (only arcane)
...
/castsequence !Auto Shot, Steady Shot
/castrandom Arcane Shot
...
According to the spreadsheet this is the heaviest dps method for me by a large margin from the others (100-200dps). But I tried all three macros on Dr-Guinea-Pig-Boom and got no real differences. The one that came a bit higher than the rest and it's my best guess is the 1st one, but I would like to make sure I am correct.
Thanks in advance for the clarification.
PS: The Buffs Profile selection tab is protected in this version of the spreadsheet and you cannot change it (cell D4).

There are two things I would check:
1) Do your combat logs match what the spreadsheet says is your optimal rotation? I know that when I use these types of spam macros, I can never get the ideal rotation since my lag is too low and I don't have enough haste. I basically just get my specials firing back-to-back-to-back... with no autoshots.
2) Are you sure you sample size was high enough. Run the tests many times and make sure there are no outside variables affecting this tests. For example, don't use any spells or trinkets that cause procs, if your test is longer than 2 minutes, don't use hunters mark, etc.

When you open the spreadsheet, there will be a bar at the top displaying a warning, click on settings and enable the use of macros in the spreadsheet
Or goto your excel settings tab, select security and security center, click on macro settings and lower the security level for macros.

1) Of course it was checked. Besides some minor clipping that was noted quite rarely, they match.
2) 6-7 times x 1 min x each rotation. Outside factors where eliminated of course (no trinkets, no AotH, etc), but results varied a bit due to different crit rate, which was expected. The sample was decent enough though to get a conclusion.
Again, I want to note that I am curious as what is the modeling of the 'spam macro' from the three above in the spreadsheet.

A couple things: ZA bow is improperly named, and could you add the badge xbow reward to the next release as well?
On a related note, I discovered that the xbow doesn't do as well as the amani bow, even though the dps is higher. I think this is due to the armor pen and the 1% crit i get for being a troll. so it makes me feel better that blizz isn't completely giving out superior welfare epics...

twinblades of the phoenix v Veng Glad waraxe?
Hi All,
Cheeky's spreadsheet is simply amazing and my dps has increased significantly since I began using it and raiding. I use it as a guide for all my upgrades.
I recently dl'ed the newest spreadsheet (43) to try to figure out what I could use from the new sunwell loots (I realize they might be changed but I like to see what's available to me) and while going over my upgrade chart I found out the the twinblades of the Phoenix from Kael are going to give me a 2DPS decrease versus my Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe. What's odd about this is the older version I had (not that old mind you) put the twinblades as one of the best (if not the best) 2-hnd weapon I could get. I realize I loose some hit when getting the twinblades, but I tried resocketing and it still showed a small decrease.
Anyone else see this? Perhaps Cheeky changed the values of Armor penetration?
I made sure I have all the buffs on me (I am mostly concerned with raid dps and we have 4-5 palys in our raid most of the time. So I have all the paly buffs, mage buff, druid buff, warp burger and flask of relentless striking). I use a 1:1 rotation and a cat pet.
The thing is I would hate to pass on the twinblade only to find out something was a bit off with the Spreadsheet, just as much as if I "Need" the twinblade and find out they hurt my dps (and it could have gone to someone else)
Any help/insight is always appreciated.
Thanks
Tronar of Hakkar
