You're most likely disabling your metagem (+12 Agility).
A lot of people report problems with noticing when a metagem becomes disabled.
Do you have any suggestions which could make a disabled metagem easier to notice?
Yes it was that Problem ... a indicator or something for the meta would be very appreciated.
The gear planning function is very good - a welcome addition so thanks indeed.
One thing to note (and something I am sure can be added, though it would be a massive amount of work!) is that the model itself assumes either 0 Hit or your current +Hit. What it does not do is account for the amount of +Hit on said item already which is skewing the output values.
This may lead people to over-value certain items if they religiously follow the spreadsheet (as I suspect a good number of Hunters do).
The way around this I have been using since before the Gear Upgrades tab is to value the item before and after the upgrade then use the value in between to guage it's upgrade worth.
In the spreadsheet you spell it "Jin'rok, the Great Apocalypse" instead of "Jin'rohk, The Great Apocalypse". There's an "h" in the first word you are missing. (As if the bold and underline didn't make it obvious enough.)
Don't know if caps matters or not, but "the" is capitalized too.
I appears as if the DPSPerStat macro isn't running after I download gear from the Armory. This may be because the Jin'Rohk is not added normally, but I can't confirm that. -- Added with Edit
Found a possible bug. On the gear planner, the new SSO axe, [The Blade of Harbingers] doesn't ever seem to show up, but on the gear tab, it is selectable.
[Belt of the Black Eagle] is missing from the gear planner, though that very well could be because it just doesn't stack up; which would be good to know, since I'm about to have one of these crafted.

You may be haste capped. For me it was listed as the #2 item.

Eliminate content (Sunwell, MH, BT) and see where it stacks up.
Try Stacking Kibl'ers Bite and Scoll of Strength. I doubt that they stack as both grant 20 strength to the pet.
They do infact stack. Confirmed. Thats why no tank in this game should complain about how much a raid costs becauso ONE scroll of strength V is at about 7g, agility is not cheaper either on my server. (*lol)

It is pretty expensive being a raiding Hunter if and when you bring all the buffs you can.
Is +hit really so powerfull as my sheet is telling me?
With 2% or 1% (and even 0,5%, like posted above) *away* from the hit cap it is still by far the most DPS per point here.
And everything with some hit rating, like Worgen Claw Necklace.. is getting into the top choices over Telonicus' Pendant / SO neck. (just as example)
- yep, disabling leather would be cool
- pressing "save profile" or "CalcAttributes" (which is quite necessary now) and waiting 3 minutes is somewhat annoying. if could be a way to work around it, please implement that.
Cheeky - can you re-look at the DST again? When I model it on the gear tab, it still is one of the best trinkets for me. However, it doesn't even make the top ten on the Gear Planner tab, which makes no sense at all.
I have a hard time believing that the Abacus of Violent Odds would beat it, or even make the list. I would expect the DST to be equal to or better than the Bloodlust Brooch depending on gear.
Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas wont read from the armory for me, dunno if its because its listed as Golden Bow of Quel'thalas in the spreadsheet or something else. Try to read Kirtar of Cho'gall if its not the capitalization/
Is it possible to add Kill Command as an option for the shot rotations?
This was sparked by me leveling a new hunter and looking at D3. As the armor penetration is triggered by KC i'm not certain if the set bonus is taken into consideration. I suppose my real question is if the set bonus to D3 is added in, but adding KC to the shot rotation could be useful.
I just downloaded the most recently updated version of the spreadsheet (previously using version 46) and noticed that the drop downs are no longer in alphabetical order. I looked at the past 3 versions and noticed that this is the same in each of them. I am just curious if there are any plans to reorganize them.
I appologize if someone posted about this previously but I didn't have much time to look through the posts for the past month and a half.
I know this isn't a major issue when you can update witht the Armory data but i can only look at the spreadsheet at my work (which of course causes issues with the automatic update).

Read the "patch-notes" of those new versions you skipped there.
Items are sorted on DPS-gain. You can sort them alphabetically in the "Gear Planner" worksheet.

Thanks, I must have missed that when i briefly read the patch notes.
I'm feeling "dazed & confused" here ... always took the spreadsheet as very solid reference to the theoretical maximum DPS I can achieve. I do understand that we're talking about ideal numbers in ideal situation.
My dilemma is caused by the following setup: 4T6 pieces, Shivering Felspine + Cloak of Fiends + Bristleblitz Striker + 80haste from drums + SV spec. I will not go through the details of the other gear pieces, since they are irrelevant (all BT quality gear, no other +haste).
Whenever I use the 7/20/34 spec in the spreadsheet I get about 100 DPS less then by using 0/28/33. All the evidence from the SV thread points that 7/20/34 with the gear mentioned above is the best combination possible, if using a 3:2 shot rotation, and will be net superior to any classic SV build with the 1:1.5 shot rotation. However, I can't see that reflected in the numbers I get from the spreadsheet.
If anyone found it otherwise, please let me know ... maybe I'm setting up something wrong.

So I just read the patch notes one more time to find what i missed. The only note i saw on sorting was in the notes for version 47
" - Begun adding a gear planner feature, sorting items by DPS and availability. Haste and procs may be a little screwy. Melee weapons are broken down into one-handed and two-handed categories. Ranged weapons are not supported."
While it mentions that the gear planner tab sorts items by DPS & availability, the note doesn't say anything about the sorting in the DPS Planner effecting the drop downs in the Gear Tab.
Also once I did what you said of clicking the button to sort alphabetically on the DPS Planning tab, the drop downs for the Main Hand & Off hand slots did not resort. Every other drop down sorted the items properly.

Trying his gear in Cheeky's show only a 4 dps gain from 0/28/33 over 7/20/34, but you also loose thrill of the hunt.
After talking with our survival hunter he explains that because of all the haste effect he is almost always doing 3:2 and not 2:1. Additionally he says it is more dps to only use steady, and arcane and multi only in special cases. The difference is even greater when you stop using multi and arcane.
dunno if this is any help but it could be handy to have the numbers on paper.
according to the sheet you need to get these ratings to get to 2.10 speed. which currently is being said you need to have at least to get 3:2 working properly.

3.00 wep
376 HR
253 HR + Quick Strikes
2.80 wep
129 HR
10 HR+ Quick Strikes
I am assuming you are talking about specs without Serpent Swiftness.
3.0 weapon you would need 381 HR to get to a 2.1 and only 126 HR when Quick Shots procs.
2.8 weapon you would need 251 HR to get to a 2.1 and only 13 HR when Quick Shots procs.
The above is based on 5/5 Improved Aspect of the Hawk.
Great work on the gear planning tab. I know it was a lot of work and that it is still in development.
I would like to add a nice to have request to the gear planner if you ever have the time and inclincation. I understand if you do not though.
At least for many survival hunters, personal DPS gain from an item is not the only discriminating factor. The other main factor is how the item affects our DPS contribution to the rest of the raid via changes to our average EW AP. It would be ideal if next to the DPS listing if there was also an EW DPS listing. It would take the average EW AP contribution from the item (change in average EW AP between equipping the item and having nothing equipped in that slot) and multiplied by the AP to DPS conversion and the number of other physical DPS in the raid (both of the latter items would be inputs on the Settings and Results tab). Of course, this extra reporting column would disappear or be blank for hunters without any ranks in EW.
Then additional nice features would be to be able to sort the gear not only personal DPS (the current option) but also on EW DPS (for those who desire to maximize that) and total raid DPS (the sum of the previous 2) for those, like myself, who try to maximize that.
This would allow survival hunters to be able to better make use of the hard work you put into the gear planning tab. Currently, items listed high on the gear planning tab, while better options for BM or MM hunters, may not be the best option for me since they have no or little agility possibly resulting in a loss of total raid DPS by equipping the item.
Another question on the gear planning tab. Are the comparisons done with populating the sockets with the default gem for that socket color listed on Settings and Results tab? It would make sense if that was the case since how would you know that we would prefer to socket it differently. If that's the case and we are usually someone who prefers all agility gems over others, I guess that we could make those our defaults for all 3 colors. However, this brings up the question of how the gear planning feature accounts for meta gems and making sure that meta gem requirements are met.
Could you please provide some insight into that and any other assumptions that go into the gear planning results so that we can better understand the results that we are seeing.
