Mod for managing Raid Target Icons?

I've tried looking elsewhere with no avail, but I'm sure someone here would have an answer.

I'd like a mod to help streamline the assignment and/or targeting of the lucky charms raid icons. Even something as simple as just a frame displaying the icons and allowing you to assign/target mobs from there. Something where, say, a right-click on an icon would assign that icon to my current target and a left-click would make me target the mob would be ideal.

I'll admit I prefer Ace2 mods, so if there is an Ace one it would be preferable, but at this point Im hardly going to be picky.

Sounds like BananaBar2 is what you are looking for. It's an ACE mod so I'm sure you know where to look.

Iwas looking for this recently and there used to be something called painitball and another called TRI. I think the 2.o ui stuff killed paintball and tri is useless since you can assign keys to symbols. personally I use my 1-8 keys on the 10 key that never gets used otherwise.

I tried to give this a shot before work this morning, but trying to load this mod would cause WoW to crash at the load screen. Very odd.

Bananabar2 hasnt been updated for quite some time.

I dont know any real alternatives, if you do find one I'd be interested as well so please post it here.

I always thought Bananabar was most useful for raid leaders troubleshooting who was mis-targeting.

What functionality is needed for managing raid target icons that a series of keybinds can't achieve? CTRL-Z,X,C, ALT-A, D (an inverted WASD) works fairly well, doesn't it?

BananaBar is IMHO overkill for this task. I have also had a lot of UI errors from its libraries. Also, you have to remember how many times to type "n" "a" in order to use its slash command!

You could try this, a smaller simpler mod for the task:

I had just used BananaBar2 in a raid a couple of weeks ago and it's the same build on the SVN as is currently listed as like people have noted it hasn't been updated in quite sometime. It worked fine for me so I'm not sure what's up with that. I do agree though that it is a bit of overkill as it also mimics PerfectTargets though I believe that part can be turned off.

Recently started using an addon called SimpleRaidTargetIcons for assigning lucky charms. Easy to use, and it doesn't clutter up your ui.

You can assign keybinds to the raid target icons to assign them to mobs. I've set up CTRL + Numeric Keypad and assigning targets is extremely quick, just tab through or select the mob and hit the key combo.

Targetting them is another matter though, from what I've seen the targetting mods only work if someone else has that mob targeted, which may not always be the case.

And along the same lines, the section where I've got those keybinds set up also talks about raidsets. What are raidsets? Or am I confused and my keybindings come from some addon?

This is a UI limitation. Addons could cheat - keep a list table of last seen targets with symbols over them - but this method would not be reliable. Not sure if you'd be able to only keep a table of the unit name, or an actual unit reference, since my LUA-fu is weak. But no, [/target star] is currently impossible, but I have this vague notion of slouken posting that was in the to-come feature set. No confidence in that vague notion, though.

I'm fairly sure that he said it won't ever be implemented.

Paintball had a neat way of doing it by mouseover, but you can't programmatically target things anymore...
