For the earth shield thing: Get dfilter -> http://www-en.curse-gaming.com/files...debuff-filter/

Set your earth shielded target to focus (/focus), then use /dfilter and set the top tab to focus, and add earth shield to the buffs list. Then scale/move the window as appropriate - should show how many charges you have left in a big easy-to-read button. Works fine with sunder and stuff (check ui thread if you want to see a screenshot of it).

Alternately, I just (very briefly) tried my modification of GridStatusHots, and it seems to work.

Shows the number of remaining charges on Earth Shield in one of the Text-Areas of a Grid frame.

I just whipped this on break at work, and only tested it for like, a minute (no resto shaman that I know really available ATM), so I make no guarantees.

Is there anyway you can make it so you can either resize or scale the window? It'd be nice to be able to scroll through the types of buffs without having to scroll down each time to see all 25 members.

Some potionbuffs overlap on the same slot in elixirs - for example Healing power and Adept's both consume the same slot. Would it be somehow possible to customize/extend this page to allow seeing wider range of active elixirs?

I was slightly annoyed of how the pages didn't automatically refresh as I buffed up people I noticed were lacking something. This is but a small thing and it's not that bad to swap page forward and back to get the refreshed view, but perhaps there could be some checkbox to toggle "realtime" (periodic?) checks of buffs on the page being viewed?

My one major criticism of this mod, after trying it on Gruul last night, was that the buttons for scrolling left and right between buff types move on different pages.

Ie. the buttons are affixed to the left and right of the title text (eg. 'Paladin Buffs', or 'Tanking Elixirs'), and because the length of that string varies by page, so does the position of the buttons. This makes it difficult to click through the pages quickly to just scan them briefly, or to get the proper page if it's more than one click away.

You'd be much better putting them in fixed positions, either putting them right at the edges of the titlebar, or just in some kind of fixed position - either way, whilst it seems like a small issue I found it very annoying last night.

Other than that (and the lack of updating Aya mentioned), this is an awesome mod.

In a future version yeah I could look at allowing the number of lines to be configurable.

I overlapped the elixirs that don't really like being used together and to get them to work have to go through annoying use this one first then the next one type thing. Also elixirs overlap that fall under the catergory of not likely to be used together (ex mage isn't like to use Firepower and Frost power though I should consider opening it up to allow shadow power in a different one).

Yeah, I'm planning to add that in. Keep in mind this is an early implementation.


On the aspect of the buttons moving around yeah that wasn't the brightest idea I had at 1AM or whatever time it was when I implemented that feature.

Adept's Elixir and Healing Power both stack and you can see the gains on the +heal character panel tooltip (not only icon-wise, you get 24 healing from Adept's and 50 from Healing Power). It'd be nice to be able to see those seperately, unless using these concurrently is uncommon, despite the benefits stacking?

Anyways, excellent mod, much thanks for your work on it. I loved using it last night to stalk out people who slacked on using pots. Big Brother is the perfect name!

Alright added Misdirection alerts, kinda autorefreshes on buffs (heh whatever buff was cast will be missed need to add a delay to the refresh), and the next/prev buff list buttons are in fixed positions.

works fairly well and is a very simple addon. I don't know what happens when there are multiple earthshields going around in a raid, as I'm the only Resto shaman in the guild.

Iirc -been some time since I played WoW now- applying an oil gives a combat log message, which should be enough to track it.

I wouldnt spend too much time with the overlapping potions if I were you Crytek, just try to make a 'guardian' and 'battle' elixir column for 2.1.0 .

Would it be possible to make this mod dump/store the data in periodic intervals and maybe also with a 'capture' button?
And while we'r checking raid member performance anyway, maybe a Health/Mana/Stoneshield/Ironshield potion counter? (I'd prefer something like 'total mana/health gained trough potions', since tracking all sorts of mana potions out there might be abit harsh. Although this would be a nice function in the saved data)

Anyway of getting a text report for pots the way we do for flasks, or a flask window the way we do for pots?

Also any chance of notifications for breaking other types of CC such as shackles, seduce, frost traps, etc?

Duty is heavier than a mountain, Death is lighter than a feather.

Awesome mod, keeps me from playing guessing games with unresponsive raiders. Only thing I would like to see is a scalable and resizable window with an ability to lock it on a place on the screen. Also a refresh button or auto refresh.

Nope The dispel message is only triggered for Polymorph complain to Blizzard to add the message to other CC and I will add it though.



Basically I've held off on some changes to how I handle things in 2.1 due to consumable changes (I did several updates today btw on fixing/adjusting things).

2.1 the plan is only 1 consumable window instead of tank/melee/caster with just 3 columns for flask, battle elixir, and guardian elixir.

You will be able to do flask report or a consumable report that checks to see if instead of having flask they have battle & guardian elixirs (or if they don't have both which people fall into not having battle elixirs, which don't have guardian and who doesn't have either). Having a flask of course would count you as having both.

Oh and yeah definitely want the window to be resizable just that requires real work

Been busy on addons today.

New version of BigBrother released which supports resizing of the buff window by dragging the bottom (shows up to max of 25 players).

Other news was finally got around to making use of the code I implemented like 7 months ago for determining player coordinates with the library GPSLib and a simple addon putting it to use called FollowMe. The trick with GPSLib is it even gives you coordinates inside of ijnstances.

FollowMe basically just records your path and displays it. Here's image from FollowMe from a recorded stealth walk through Mana Tombs.



Eventually when someone gets around to implementing it should allow for an addon that records all the player positions and play it back (assuming the players all have an addon installed reporting their position).

I don't know if it is outside the scope of this addon or if it already in there (I haven't had the chance to try it out yet, so if it is I appologise) but is it possible to for it to track mana potion usage? I suppose this would involve parsing of the combat log in some form.

Normally I make random checks of people to see which personal buffs they use, but as of now i have no way to find out who is chain chugging mana pots and who is letting the others carry the expense.

With 2.1 going live this mod was pretty central in our guilds plans in making sure everybody is using the 2 allowed elixers, unfortunately none of them were showing up sans the Flasks. I was using agility and earthen for Maulgar tanking yet it didn't show anything. The only one that showed was one mages Elixer of Major Firepower oddly enough.

Did the planned update for 2.1 go through or am I missing something?

Will have to check. I updated the table and tested with what I had on PTR at the time and it seemed to work.

Did a check with Elixir of Major Agility and it seemed to work fine.

The new Guardian elixirs weren't in previously but I just added them plus the unstable flasks (had already added the shattrath flasks earlier).

Will see how it works with a buffed raid shortly.
