Announcement: LightHeaded

I had some time away from WoW this weekend, but still had access to the internet, so I ended up writing a mod that allows you to view wowhead comments from within the game to minimize the need to Alt-tab when quest grinding. This addon is based off qcomments and wowhead_quests, but consists of an entirely fresh database parse, and I hope to continue adding new features. Feel free to take a look at it:

Damn cool. Combined with Joanna's leveling guide I can simply blaze thru levels on my BE priest I am linking the mod on my guild's front page / forums for everyone to get.

Thanks man,

In that case, you'll like another addon I have coming up, called TomTom.. very simple, and is perfect when levelling and using coordinates.

Do you need to have both alliance and horde data folders? i tried horde only and was finding no comments on anything. i tried a couple chars too

I also disabled any other quest addons i had that i know of.

would minimalist affect it?

You should use all three folders, the data is actually contained in the LightHeaded directory, but it only loads the data for the correct faction, so you won't have duplicate data sitting around. I'm not sure what minimalist is, but the only things that should affect this are things that directly affect the combat log.

Do you get any error messages?

Any hint on what TomTom is going to be?

I just downloaded this a few minutes ago and it is going to be great for leveling. The first thing I wanted was something to auto-parse coordinates from the text and mark them on my zone map. I was considering starting down the road of writing this, but obviously if something similiar is coming down the pipe I wouldn't want to duplicate efforts.

Hrm, not seeing any comments, however /qfind is working to find quests :-/

Using FuQuestFu. Probably failing b/c of adding quest levels :-/

Yes.

It works together with the newest version of questfu though at least I'm running it fine. A guildie was having the same problem with a mod that added quest lvls though.

Is there any option planned in the near future to show the related map as well? Or filter the comments to only show the confirmed "green ones" with high enough user rating? But it's allready awesome as it is, cladhaire!

I may give you that hint, TomTom is a well known portable GPS system for your car in europe. So expect it to work just like a navigation system. For example: you receive a new quest, it leads you to the related quest zone for mobdrops/mobsslaying and finally back to your quest npc on the direct way.

For further information just visit http://www.tomtom.com

Yup, disabling show quest levels in Minimalist did the trick for me. Thanks!

I'm in love with this Addon. Sooo good

Small bug: clicking on a quest in the FuQuestFu tooltip doesn't update the comments (I have to click it again in the Quest Frame).

Awesome mod, aves me alt-tabbing all the time (should increase my levelling efficiency by a solid 50%, because EJ is always only a tab away from wowhead/allakhazam ...).

I, ironically, had a compatibility issue with Clique, but updating (Clique - I was 3 major revisions behind) fixed that.

Would it be possible to add the quest level in brackets to the quest log entry itself? So instead of having 'Saving the Sporeloks' I'd have '[62] Saving the Sporeloks' as the quest log entry. I was actually running ExtendedQuestLog just to get that functionality.

Also, minor nitpick: with the frame sizes set as they are, the mod frame overlaps the default right actionbar (and actionbar 2). Setting lhframe:SetPoint("RIGHT", UIParent, "RIGHT", -80, 0) stopped the overlap.

Absolutely amazing mod.

Only thing I would change is the ability to turn the additional comment frame off and on quickly (ideally key-bindable) -- I'm used to running around with my quest log up paging through quests and that doesn't work too well when my whole playspace is a frame .

Aye, visually I'll be working on a few things, and making them (hopefully) a bit more customizable.
