I really like the customizability of Spellwatch, but the limitations that it currently has means that it's, at best, a compliment of, and not a replacement for, DoTimer.
It may not matter too much for other classes, but as a warlock, DoTimer's ability to create separate groups for different targets makes all the difference in the world. When I'm expected to be DPSing one or more targets (which means up to 5 DoTs/Debuffs on each target from myself alone) in addition to CCing up to two more (chain fear one, chain banish another), the ability to easily tell which debuffs are wearing off on which target at a glance is HUGE. Personally, I think DoTimer handled the display aspect very well - eschewing timer bars for just a group of spell icons and the time remaining in text format, with the raid target icon (if it exists) superimposed on top of the icon, is IMO a very elegant solution to an annoying problem (that every bar-style timer mod seems to have had).
I guess since SpellWatch is designed specifically as a "timer BAR" mod and was built that way, the pure "icon + time text" option isn't feasible, but I think the ability to create distinct groups for different targets, and the ability to sort the bars by time would be enough to get me to switch.

However, it doesn't start a timer until it gets the UNIT_SPELLCAST_SUCCESSFUL event; which occurs once you finish casting. The problem, I think, is that when you use /stopcasting, your client never issues the UNIT_SPELLCAST_SUCCESSFUL because as far as your client is concerned you can't have finished casting the spell because you told it to cancel. This works in practice however because of client-server latency.

From what I can tell all the current timer addons break when you use /stopcasting macros for your spells. Any chance this will be fixed with the new 2.1 debuff timing functionality? I'd really like to be able to get the dps boost from /stopcasting macros and still time my dots =)

Yes, it has little point to continue working on the current code base. I should spent some time on the PTR though to figure out how much information the blizzard timers going to give.
From people raiding on the ptr, I'm interested to know when and which buffs you get timers for from the blizzard ui. Does when someone else start for example shadow weaving you still see the timer? And you never see the timer for sunder as other class than warrior?

I use spellwatch exclusively to watch my ability cooldowns, so that I no longer need any bars visible apart from autobar for poisons/potions. It's doing the job almost fine but I have a slight problem with Cold Blood.
I only seem to be able to start the cooldown count when I activate the buff, but that is not when the cooldown actually starts, it only starts once I use it up, but I've not been able to find a way to do this. Have I missed something or is it not possible?
Also, is there any way to clear the bars upon entering an arena other than right-clicking them all away?

Please consider adding a Profile option to this addon so that I can set it up seperately for my alts. Having my Rogue, Hunter and Paladin all on the same Spellwatch config is really unwieldy and confusing at times.

Depry: I'll add the on-debuff-loss option in the next major version, this was also requested for paladins' Divine Favor
Jayblah: It does support profiles; use "/sw profile" to see the menu for it. It defaults to the default profile, so if you don't switch it'll use that for every character.

I have been using SW in the past couple days and I like it. However, for now, it hasn't really provided me with any huge advantages over my old timer mod, Chronometer. While it is extremely customizable I hadn't come up with anything I wanted to add that Chronometer could not do... until today.
I've been trying to figure out a way to show the Diminishing Returns timer in PvP (specifically for Fear). To do this, I need to be able to start a 15 second timer after a Fear wears off. I see two ways of doing this:
-Watch for the Fear debuff to be removed and then start the timer. (Can this be reliably done if the feared player is not my target/focus?)
-Predict how long the fear will last and start a timer for that length + 15 seconds. (Would have to keep track of diminishing returns and account for shortened lengths).
Do you see either of those being possibly implemented?

You have to excuse me, I'm at work and didn't have time to read through all the replies so I'm not sure if this question/problem has been raised yet.
When i installed SW it seemed to break my bartender3 bars. Namely they were still displayed yet none of the hotkeys/bindings for the bars worked anymore.
Anyone else had this issue?

Has anyone else had any problems with the spellwatch bars showing up as <No Target> and locking up your Target window, so whoever you have selected never actually changes?

Rogue abilities like Slice and Dice and Kidney Shot have a duration based on the number of combo points used. Please consider supporting variable combo point durations in the future. Thanks for a great mod!

That is supported actually.
Just put it in as: Base duration+Duration added by additional combo points. For example for Kidney Shot you'd put in 2+1 as duration.

I was looking for a mod that shows timer bars for CloS and WotF of any rogue around (yay Alliance Warlock) and this mod seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately I couldn't make it work for me so far. I tried these settings:
Title: CloS
Spell: Cloak of Shadows
Label: CloS - $t
Duration: 5 / Target Buff
Group: 1 / Anchor1
None of the checkboxes checked
Similar for Will of the Forsaken. Tested it in AV today and no bars showed up.
I hope you can help me out with this.
Edit: It actually shows the timers, when I have the rogue targeted at the moment he activates CloS or WotF. But I'd like to see the timer even if I have a different target. Is this possible with this mod?
