After watching the paladin video on ming's site, I've been trying to find the cooldown mod he uses. It displays the icon for the spell/ability when the cooldown finishes up. So, for example, when blessing of freedom is ready to use again, a big blessing of freedom icon appears on his screen. I've tried several cooldown mods, but the closest I've been able to find is Cooldowntimers2 from ace and it just shows a text string when something is ready.

Anyone know the name of this cooldown mod?

It's called PowerAuras. Very cool, very handy, VERY customizable.

I really dig it, I've it set up on my pally to display texture-reminders when judgement is ready to cast again, when my blessing expires, when I have a seal active (so I don't forget to refresh), and when I'm cleanse-able. For my 'lock, I get giant purple textures for backlash/nightfall procs, more subtle one for fel armor, etc.

Not seen the video, but the description sounds like Jim's Cooldown Pulse.

Any idea of a mod that will post cooldowns being up into SCT? For example, trinkets/combustion etc. I always forget to use them and an SCT message could fix that problem.

TrinketMenu does this for trinkets, don't know about combustion and other skills though.

I use Cooldown Bars because I like to see exactly how long until something comes back up.

Powerauras is cool but I hate having to customize it out of the box. There should be some common options included.
