The Update that Ckknight mentioned a few posts up fixed the freeze issues I was having with the mod. The only thing now, and I am not sure if it is related or not yet, will require more testing on my part, is that I started getting a lot of critical error style WoW crashes since I started using this mod. I used to get a crash maybe once every week or 2, now its multiple times a day. Could be coincidence however, still need to test. The lag game freeze issue was 100% fixed for me though.

I have also started to get many more critical errors - but I don't know whether it is from the mod or just a problem many others are experiencing related to the game. I noticed it occurring maybe two - four times daily right around the release of the patch that was supposed to fix that exact problem - it was actually the day after if I recall.

It happened today three times in a row; I logged onto my account, and went to log into my character, and when the screen was finished loading I was brought back to my desktop with a critical error message. Three times! Today was the worst it has ever been, and I really wish I knew what was causing it... I am using the latest version of Pitbull, but like I said, the errors only started occurring just under 2 weeks ago, and I have been using Pitbull for almost a month.

For the people getting critical errors are you using ATI video cards and did you update to 7.5 catalyst drivers. They caused crash problems for me had to go back to 7.4's.

Im getting critical errors and I use an Nvidia card.

It's not a driver problem, there is a bug with Blizzard's code that causes Wow to crash sometimes when people join/leave a raid. It happens with recent versions of Pitbull and some other unit frame mods.

Yeah I'm familiar with problem with the unit frame mods that use the blizzard secure header (which is all of them) but I don't have that problem, I had a different problem with the latest ATI drivers causing crashes even when not in a raid/party. Just a heads up for anyone getting random crashes with an ATI card after updating to the latest drivers rolling back to 7.4 might fix your problem or try the Omega or NGO modified drivers.

I spent quite a lot of time during yesterday's raid, trying to figure out how to disable the timers which auto activate (in raidbars for example) when someone is dead or offline. It aint a bad feature (especially for offline/afk players) but as a raidlead and res-class I really need to see the class and name of someone who is dead.

So please tell me, where can I turn that feature off ?

I just logged in and saw that the buffs/debuffs wasn't on the top as I had configured it, but rather on the right side as with the default-version. I then found out that the Side-menu under Auras wasn't available and greyed out. Fix this quickly please, I love these unitframes

EDIT: Forgot to say that this was for TARGET-frames, not all frames.

I had to downgrade to an older version due to this bug. The option to move my debuffs just wasn't doing anything, and they stayed at the middle-right.

It was primarily happening when entering or leaving a battleground or arena, which converted group to raid. When I disabled pitbull and went back to aguf, problem disappeared.

Basically, PitBull is quite broken with 2.1 ? I was wondering about switching to this from ag_uf, guess I have the answer, for the moment.

I liked it better when it was called Flourish.

Yup, seems like its broken for the time being. The auras seem to be stuck in the middle-right outside frame position for Target and Target's Target, and I also noticed that the health bar text style (informational / smart / short etc) and power bar style kept resetting every time I relogged.

The only problem I had with pitbull was my target of target frame got reset(this actually happens every update) and the auras on my target got changed. I set them back up and it all saved fine. I don't use any automatic updater so I usually don't have the latest version so maybe I miss the unstable ones.

Set your Pitbull to a profile (I've set mine to Dukes - Balnazzar, as is one of the default options) and set it up the way you want it. When you update, if it's reset to the default settings, just go and change the profile to that one and it should change everything back to how you had it before.

my pitbull wont show player names on my frame and my target frame, its been like that since about 3 days before patch. auras are being really buggy too. hope this is fixed soon!

I hope your shift key is fixed soon too.

I would try either reverting to an older version (I haven't updated in a little over a week and have had no problems) or seeing if they've updated since patch, since I believe what you're talking about is a known issue.

I'm sorry but as regards to the size and listenership of my fansite the term mistaken would in itself be, mistaken.

I've been having a strange issue with Pitbull. While it's purely an aesthetic issue, my Cast Bar seems to be drawing very few frames, and looks choppy. My game framerate is good, 60 FPS, but it looks like just the framerate on the castbar is like, 2 FPS, it probably only draws 4 or 5 frames during the duration of a 2 second spellcast.

I had this happen once before with AGUF, and ended up having to totally wipe my UI to fix it. Has anyone else seen this, or know of a way to fix it?

Castbar animation performance often are related to other performance issues. Around one of the last patches, I had an issue where my castbars were updating really poorly - I had attributed it to the new ui changes & performance problems people were having & figured it'd eventually get patched. Shortly after I noticed a number of particle effects were no longer disappearing (tranquility, the light beams in the chess event, and the ground fog in the tunnel to Gluuth).

Turns out there's a bug or something with memory that develops over time, not necessarily WoW related, more OS actually, as this continued through many different play sessions - but I never had actually rebooted my machine. Shutting down the PC & restarting it fixed all the persistant visual effects issue & additionally I noticed all my cast bars suddenly were silky smooth.

I experieced the same thing as Fendryl and a quick reboot fixed it. The issue was the Pitbull castbars.

I'm having a problem where, if I target a player then target a mob, the player's class will show next to the mob's name. For example: I click on Flolyn (Mage), then I click on Morogrim Tidewalker (Mage). Any way to fix this?

Most of the issues people have been having with PitBull are fixed now (Crashes, lockups, specifically). It should be safe to update.

Newest build of Pitbull isn't showing party frames, and is giving me errors when I go into combat.

Cannot Unregister ACE2_Event:Fully Initialized, is not registered with PitBull2 or some such.

Combat_Text.LUA:121 Nil Value too. That bug keeps recurring over and over and over again.

Is there a way to hide pitbull frames when NOT in combat? (ie, target and player) I can't seem to find an option for it, but seems like it would have been a common option.

Vyktianity already has over 75 billion followers. The first verse in his book "Gift of the Wild" is "In the beginning Vyk cast lifebloom and then maul."
