Complex question:
A warlock that Uses the UI i maintain (btw they all have gone nuts over pit bull, the threat meters specifically, thanks again for the help) was wondering about modifying the pet mana bar. Modifying in such a way that it would work much like m dark pact. Now i know this is a bit tricky, but any help would be appreciated.

Seems switch to some other unit frame mod is in order. Using PitBull with some other mod to display buffs and debuffs is kinda a waste since I'm only using self, target, target of target and focus frames from PitBull anyway.

I was flicking auras on and off during kael tries last night, didn't appear to have any real affect on fps personally.
SSC tonight tho so I will see what happens with auras and vashj.

Yes, it's strange as obviously some people are using PitBull and in raids also with buffs and debuffs showing (just look at the show your UI thread).
I'm out of ideas as to what else troubleshoot though. I've tried wiping PitBull settings and using default ones without any changes, I've tried wiping all other addons, tried to show only a couple of debuffs, tried only buffs etc... No idea really
And it's not that I'm trying to run it on some ancient computer – 2.8 GHz dual-core AMD and 2 GB RAM should be enough for just about anything...

To add an anecdote, I switched back to agUF from Pitbull last night for SSC, and my framerate was consistently 2-2.5x higher than with Pitbull. I wish I could keep using Pitbull because I prefer it, but it makes the raid game near unplayable for me.

I've come to the same conclusion re: this addon. I really love it, but the framerate hit is way too much to bear. Went back to agUF.

More anecdotal evidence - Last night during Leo, regrettably half an evening of raiding, FPS slowly downgraded to the point where it became unplayable. Upon disabling pitbull FPS popped back up to normal levels, id say more than double but thats just a guesstimate colored by the elation of no longer playing through jello.
Ive just recently started using this addon so im not sure if the issues are fight specific or perhaps even an issue with particular settings. I really do like the UI, and I find it very nice for arenas but my dps suffers in a raid setting.

Leotheras' room is notoriously hard on framerates. Pitbull is a resource hog but in this case I doubt that the issues you were experiencing were due to the mod.
If you notice that your framerate is degrading as the night progresses try doing a "/console gxrestart" and see if that makes things any better.

Thanks, i'll try this next time. We havent had to work for a night on Leo since our first kill, so as far as his room being hard to deal with I guess i cant really say as i've never experienced anything of the sort while in his cavern.
Also, solely based on browsing the menus i'd guesstimate that im using maybe 25% of what pitbull is capable of, are there features or modules that can be turned off to improve performance?
/OT
As an amusing side note, i have a 300lb redneck dancing to the MC hammer CD that one of our customers had in his car <auto shop> Some days im glad that I do come to this evil soul sucking job.

That's just an issue with Leo; happens to me as well if for some reason we spend a lot of time on him and I don't use Pitbull, and I've had multiple people with all kinds of addons complain about it (Including a few people barely using any addons at all).

There is a definite memory leak somewhere in leotheras' room. Still, since changing to aguf from pitbull, although I miss a lot from pitbull in terms of prettiness, my fps has about doubled. I'd love to see pitbull maintained, or at least the aura module spruced up.

Raid frames
I just installed pitbull, but I can'tfigure out how to adjust the size of the raid unit frames. Looks great, but the frames are huge.

I'd like to know how to reduce the size of frames as well. I feel like an idiot not being able to make perhaps the most basic customization there is.

Alt+right click the frame in question. I believe its Other -> scale
I dont have wow open right now so I can't tell if that is the correct options, but alt+right click will get you moving in the right direction.

Still having awful fps issues here as well when I don't filter debuffs. Switching back to ag_uf again I guess. /sigh

Coming in late to this thread (though it orginally convinced me to go to Pitbull period), but after browsing the ace forums he posted a 'fix' of sorts for the aura and slowdown issues.
PitBull - official topic
His basic thing is he doesn't notice any slowdown of note, so has problems diagnosing it.
Going to try it myself, and hopefully be able to report a bit of a speedup after kara tonight.

I am wary of applying patches that haven't been looked at by a few people, so looking forward to a Pitbull update on Wowace.

That's the problem, ckknight doesn't really seem to care about this project anymore, and it's normal of this to happen when it comes to his mods :/ Hopefully some more of the community over at WoWAce will pick it up and either fix it or make him look at Pitbull again.

Theres not much to care about... its basically done. The raid frame thing and the aura thing were unfortunate oversights but that was mostly noodling about code that seemed fine to begin with. Theres nothing that really needs intense focus anymore.

Could always make different profiles depending on what raid you're doing

I have some very annoying issues with Pitbull since last sunday:
Every time I target something, that has 10+ debuffs I get like a second of total freeze and my fps go down about 20-30.
Raiding with Pitbull so is nearly impossible to me at the moment.
Has someone encouraged the same problems?

It's a known issue with the aura module... There is a shaky patch on the wowace forums for it, but other than that you're kind of stuck.
