I'm having to redo settings regularly as well, pretty much every update, which is annoying. I spent a bunch of time tonight getting my main all set up, and now on my alt I'm getting the annoying behavior of all target and target-of-target bars beign solid green, and no bars are decreasing. The text is right, but the bar always shows up full. I'd roll back a version but that would require me to competely set up my bars AGAIN, which I just don't feel like doing so I'll suffer through broken bars for a while.
Also, I'm really not a fan of the huge Rock configuration dialog. I much preferred the pop-up menu from FuBar, it was much less obtrusive. Having some settings at nodes and some at leaves of the left-panel tree just seems like bad UI design to me.
Between regular resets, frustrating configs, and today's utter brokenness, I'm really tempted to bail and go back to ag_uf. It's sad because I've loved Pitbull for a long time, but...ugh.
It really feels like this is one of those cases where there's just not enough testing happening to be going live. Config invalidation should be very rare, as should obvious brokenness like bars not updating.

As a warlock, I created some custom tags to display an indicatior if I can use Life Tap or Dark Pact. The goal is to not loose mana by taping when my mana pool has not enough space left.
The tags are the following:
For Life Tap:
[MissingMP#player:IsGreater(1800)?Text(TAP)]
For Dark Pact:
[[MissingMP#player:IsGreater(1800)?CurMP#pet:IsGreater(1800)?Text(PACT)]:Red]
Result:
My problem here is that I have to hard-code the amount of mana provided by Life Tap and Dark Pact (1800 in those examples), and that this value can change depending of my equipment. Is there a way to use values like "my amount of spellpower" or "my amount of school-specific spellpower" in Pitbull tags ?

Would be possible to have custom Background Health Gradients?
So as a unit loses health, not the bar colour changes, but the background behind it. (I have all my bars grey, so as things lose health/mana or gain rage colours appear).

Yes, in a way, if you reverse the direction the bars grow and tell it to fill instead of deplete, you can get the background to change colors depending on your current hp and have the bar stay the same color.

Just change the custom background bar color on each bar.

I had, but colours that indicate health percentage at a glance are easier. Eph's suggestion was perfect.

How did you get the close-up picture of the characters upper portion of their heads into your unitframes? Is that part of Pitbull? I would love to know.
Looks great.

No, that is not currently possible with Dogtags.
Rock (optional), MobHealth3/MobHealth2/MobInfo2 (optional), Babble-Spell-2.2 (optional), Threat-1.0 (optional), RangeCheck-1.0 (optional)
None of the libraries it references have functions for something like what you want.

Yes, it is part of Pitbull. Make sure the portrait module is enabled, and then enable it for a unit frame and set its position to top.

I apologize if this has been answered before, but is there a way to remove the green borders from target buffs?

With 2.2 having killed my HUD, and no replacements available that I liked, I have been trying out Pitbull some as well.
Generally it does what I want it to do, even though I miss the old Discord options to arrange everything by pixel coordinates.
There is issue that I just can not live with currently; I can not find an option to have text rendered with a thick black border (like Prat can do for your chat text and SCT/Parrot/Etc can do for their texts). I need that extra contrast to make out health/energy numbers at a glance.
Is there any way to do this in Pitbull (or by adding something on top)?

Cast Bar
With the new pitbull, my castbar positions are a little off and I don't like it. My target frame used to look like this:
_____________________
|_ HealthBar_____|Profile|
|_ Mana Bar_____|_____|
|_ Cast Bar___________|
But with the new one it looks like:
_____________________
|_ HealthBar_____|Profile|
|_ Mana Bar_____| Here |
|_ Cast Bar______|_____|
Anyway, It's making the Portrait on my target frame a lot bigger than I want, and the Casting bar a lot smaller. Anyone know how to fix this or is it just the way it is with the new pitbull? And if the latter is true, would the creator like to implement this option?

You have to change each text field, but it can be done. Add [Outline] or [ThickOutline] In front of all the texts.

Hi all,
Firstly, apologies if this has been answered before, I skimmed through this thread but haven't found anything related to my issue.
Okay, so, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Here's the deal:
I parent an eePanel to each PitBull frame and increase it by a percentage to make it appear as if the frame has a border. Thing is, while it should extend by the same amount for the top and bottom of the frame, I get it being a pixel larger on top and a pixel smaller on the bottom and a pixel smaller on top and a pixel larger on the bottom for the player and target unit frames respectively. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this, or if there is an alternative way of doing this?
Edit: you can ignore this now - managed to fix it by displacing the panel - doh

For some reason I just cant get Pitbull to dock onto Fubar. I cannot select it to appear from the Rock configuration, DeuceCommander, or Pitbull itself. Everytime i want to tweak my unitframes I have to /pitbull /pitbull /pitbull /pitbull /pitbull /pitbull....

I'm having problems getting the Range checker to work on mobs. I usually key bind all my damage spells and hide the bars, but for me to do that I need to have the frames to go transparent when they get OOR. I've been playing a healer for a long time and there the function works great on Friendly Players (NOT NPC's), but as soon as I target Mobs the feature doesn't seem to work. I've tried every possible combination in the Global settings >> Range checker and in my Target >> Range checker. Nothing seems to work for me. Could someone write me their set-up or tell me what I'm missing.
The module is enabled and all that.
Thanks you in advance.

Does anyone else get the bug where a huge block of color randomly covers half your screen, and it seems to originate from a pitbull unit frame? I tried searching about it here and didn't find anything, and there hve been a couple posts on the wowace boards about it, with no response that I've found yet. The bug was also experienced by a guildmate of mine consistently, and it's been around for months now.
Anyone know how to fix it?

I've had this happen as well. Most often if I'm invited to a group while in combat, some times if someone else joins a group I'm in during combat. Some times it goes away, sometimes I have to reloadui to fix it.

The addon was great, but I'm really hating the new configuration panel. It was way better as a drop down menu.

I have this problem as well and I looked around for a solution, to no success. This may only work for me but I've found that using Alt+Z to clear my interface (as you would if you were take a screenshot) and then pressing it again clears the black block of death. Let me know if it works for you as well in the future.
p.s. totally agree, dropdown menu was much better in my opinion. (or maybe it was because I had gotten so used to it.)

Does anyone else experience a 3-5 second lockup when clicking on Pitbull options?
Like for me, I alt right click, and it locks up while loading up Rock. I'm guessing it has to do with Rock?

I got a question for anyone familiar with lua editing and in particular pitbull lua editing.
I'm trying to move some of my text a few pixels but i cant find it in the lua to change the offsets.
Id like to move the name and guild a few pixels up and currently im using Frame:Edge:Top as my current placement.
I would be very thankful if anyone knew how to do this.

I've been experiencing a lot of flickering of my frames the last few days, especially target frames, focus frame and so on, but not the player frame itself. Players pet frame flickers though.
Any suggestions?
