There are two modules that fade frames in Pitbull, Combatfader (fades when you're not in combat) and Rangecheck (fades when you are not in range to cast a spell on them). They suite some people but they give me the shits
I thought I would make a few suggestions for modifications/additions to Pitbull which probably won't be used but I will feel better after saying them:
- Aura module needs to be customizable so that you can adjust the spacing and starting point of your buffs/debuffs. As in what people are doing at the moment with LUA editing.
- Druid mana bar module needs to be a bar seperate to the player frame or one that extends from the player frame, taking up half of the power bar is a pain, also having configurable text on it like other bars would be handly (so you can position it relative to the frame etc.)
- Failing the Druid mana bar additions could we perhaps have the ability to create our own custom bars seperate to the pre defined ones so we can just create our own druid mana bars and whatnot.
- Different textures for different bars would be handy but is probably not necessary.
- Combo point icons need to be scalable and maybe some different textures?
- Ability to move bars with an offset value, ie. so you can have a configurable space between all your bars. Not sure if this is workable with the Blank space bar that is there at the moment, I couldn't figure it out.

So is this addon bugged as hell or am I just configuring it wrong? The few issues I had during the few trial days I've used it in:
1. "heal" and "dmg" lines are way overwhelming. When I'm healing someone, for example, I'll get a line from my big character window to my target window, from my big character window to the player in the "raid memebers" area, as well as 2 lines from my frame in the "raid area" to both his frames. If he's targeting himself or the likes it's even worse.
2. Frames just seemed to disappear when I entered AV isntead of showing up like any normal raid (and when I set the addon up the first time I used it in AV to test). Couldn't find a way to bring them back.
3. Disabling the addon for raids makes the raid option disappear, with no (visible) way to re-enable it.
4. The predicted heals do not take many factors into account, such as downranking, blessing of light and probably other things with similar effects.
While I really like the mass of useful information this addon can provide, seems like it still needs a lot of work before it can be considered an upgrade to sRaidframes or Grid (personally I use sRaidframes atm, which while not showing everything, gives me enough to properly heal raids).

Solutions:
First, type /pitbull
1 - Under "modules, uncheck "InteractLines"
2 - Click on "Raid" then on "Other" and make sure that Alterac Valley is included in "Show in Battleground."
3 - To turn on disabled frames, click on "Extra Units" and then press the "Enable" button for whichever sets you want turned back on.
4 - Yes, this feature seems to be based on the last spell of the same name you cast, but not the same rank. It's frustrating at best, irritating at worst. You might try a mod like HealEstimator, if it's still around.

For interactlines, I was hoping there's a way to *only* show interact lines *once* per action... A green line for a heal someone casts on the MT would be nice, 4 lines (for 1 heal) however is just wrong. Looks like the major issue with pitbull (unless I'm missing some settings) is that it just shows the same information in multiple places...
Is there any way to see what NPCs the raid is targeting without having the same NPC shown 10 times if 10 people are targeting him? And see who he's targeting?
Is there any way (with pitbull or another addon) to see who's healing who before the heal actually lands? as in, is it even possible from combatlog or any other mean to tell who the healer is casting the heal on, assuming he doesn't nescessarily target the person he's healing?
Thanks for the help!

This is all working as intended it would seem. It's not an issue of Pitbull misbehaving, rather it's working exactly as advertised. The more frames of the same unit, the more lines there are to be drawn.
As to the targets, no. There's no way around that. Watch this thread on ElitistJerks for solutions to targeting though.

target frame bug
Okay so... i got pitbull a few months ago and love it. Just recently I have had a bug with my target frames (target, ToT, etc.) where whenever i switch targets in combat or someone has tapped my mob, there is a huge white X over it's health, and 2 little yellow X's on the mana bar. I have disabled any possible setting that could of caused this and it's really weird.
If anyone has some advice on this situation I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

If thats a custom layout, it seems that the icon that shows the unit is in combat is getting used as the unit's picture.

Is there a way to display a 10 man raid as 2 horizontal groups of 5? For my normal party group I have it horizontal but then when it switches to raid to puts all 10 party members on the same horizontal party line of the 5 man group. I want to split this up so that group 2 is below group one but I can't seem to find a way to do this in the settings.

I'm having an issue with pitbull that is going to make me stop using the addon if I cannot fix it. The targetframe, the target of target frame, and sometimes the other frames will flicker back and forth from faded out to faded in.
It's driving me nuts, I feel like I am going to develop a twitch if it continues.
Any ideas?

It could be the Combat Fader. Disable that module in the options and see if that helps

Most probably the CombatFader module, try disabling it in the Modules section of the options. Either that or Rangecheck, they are the only modules which change transparency settings as far as I'm aware.
EDIT: Beat me to it.

How do you use custom 'StatusBar Textures'? As it is now you can pick from Blizzard or Cilo, I want to use my own though. I know it's possible because I've seen it done. I put my custom .tga in the media directory but I cant can't select it from the dropdown.
Oh, and how do you create multiple instances of the same bar. I want a casting bar in my PLAYER bar but I also want another casting bar seperately.

It seems redundant to have multiple cast bars for the same thing, but you need to use another addon such as Quartz since I don't think it's possible to create different instances of the same bar.

Does PitBull currently support 2.3.2's ready check indicator? I have no idea what it looks like in the default UI, and I have not noticed anything special since last night, after updating PitBull and issuing several ready checks throughout our heroic SP run.

Anyone know if there's a way to separate out your class specific debuffs from all the others? (this is a feature that I really liked from xperl) Ideally, I'd like them to be much bigger and probably in a different area on my target frame.
Also, can the size of buffs/debuffs be scaled dynamically based on how many there are? While soloing or in 5 mans I'd like them to be fairly big so I can easily see them, but this obviously doesn't work once the number goes past ~10.

I am having an issue with Pitbull I will explain it the best I can and if any of you know what the problem is I would love to get it fixed because it is driving me nuts
Ok My player, target, and target's target frame seem to get bugged and have a distorted color show up. Sometimes even when I dont even have a mob clicked it will have a distorted mark of the wild looking thing where my target frame is supposed to be. It seems to go away when I bring up the Map and return to the screen.
My other problem is that it seems that every once and a while when a lot of people in BGs or raids are buffing or a lot of action is happening around me I get this colored film that covers my screen and I can not see anything so I am wondering what the hell is wrong I know its pit bull because when I don't use pitbull all these issues go away.
Anyone have any ideas.

The last bug concerning "this colored film that covers my screen" is quite resistent against fixes. It happens not that often anymore, though. It's a bug that happens when pitbull draws new frames, especially (if not only) raidframes under certain circumstances.
Hide your Interface with ALT + Z (or ALT + Y, depending on your keyboard layout) when it happens. When you show it again, it's gone. Might happen again until all raidframes are drawn (aka all players joined), though.

Hi,
I could not find something about the missing winterchill's Aura of a targeted Unit in this thread, thats why i have to ask you guys.
I have enable Debuff filtering at my Target and Winter's Chill Debuff is not shown in the Target's Debuff Slot, but if I disable debuff filtering I can see the WC- Debuff (and also the other Debuffs - I'm personaly not interested in) ...
so I need help pls - any Ideas?
thx

the menu you're looking is in the Waterfall menu under (for example) player->others->Aura i believe. There you'll find varoius options for buff and debuffs.

Stupid question but I have "Disabled" the raid config frame somehow from the big dropdown menu thing (i.e. the raid frames still show, but now I have no way to alter them). Any idea how to get them back? Very fustrating.
edit: I tried going to Pitbull -> Layout -> Extra Units and tried hitting "Enable" but it didn't work either.
