Sorry, my answer was only valid for Pitbull 4. All I can say is that it sounds like you're looking at text on the actual unitframe, not the (de)buffs themselves.

Since 3.3 came out, the Pitbull 3.0 frames (Raid frames, T, ToT, & focus) on my DK became transperent silhouettes of the frames. Every other character's frames work perfectly fine other then the DK. Can someone help me figure out how to figure out what the problem might be?

Raid member's targets

Is there a way in pitbull to show raid members targets?

Like in oUF Perfect?

Yes. Create a layout for the raid targets (or recycle another), then create a Group (main column on left), and in the "unit group" drop down on the "General" tab, select raid targets. Likewise, if you wanted a raid tank targets, you would do the same, but in the "Filtering" tab, select "main tanks".

I used Pitbull from around the beginning of WotLK until a few months ago with no problems. When I stopped using it, it was because I noticed a significant drop in FPS with it, and extraordinarily high MB usage for an addon. I use ag_unitframes right now but I'm interested in using Pitbull again. Does anyone have experience with this problem and/or a recommendation to fix it?

I need a bit of help fixing something with auras in PB4. A while back I did something (I forget what exactly) that made it so that on all unit frames I would see no more than 2 buffs, would filter buffs to only those cast by me, and and would filter debuffs to only those relevant to my role (melee). I want to increase the number of buffs shown for only my party frames ("Normal" template for me). I've gone to the layout editor for "Normal" and increased the number of buffs shown under the Auras tab to 10, but it's still only showing 2. Any idea on what I need to change? Keep in mind I want to keep it as only 2 buffs for other templates (like my "HUD Player" and "HUD Target").

I have extreme lag when trying to use the raid frames in Pitbull 4. Always end up having to disable them and use grid or vuhdo. Anyone aware of a fix for raid frame lag?

If I had to guess, it's you were using too many an unnecessary modules with the raid frame layout. I'd go through and disable everything not needed in terms of auras, icons, faders, and such. I don't have any lag with pitbull raid frames so I don't think the stand alone system is your problem. I'd also go through and make sure you don't have crap you're not even using enabled in the the global modules on the left menu.

I have looked for this option (maybe not hard enough?) but can't find it anywhere in the Pitbull config. It would be awesome if Pitbull could somehow be 'combined' with the mechanics of Healbot. So instead of having two addons, merge the two together. (As in, clicking on the Pitbull unit frame will cast a spell). Would this be possible?

There is no such option with Pitbull, but you should get Clique (a really low mermory addon) that makes it possible to combine every possible mouseclick combination to any of your spells and abillities to any frame in the game.

So, I recently set up a raid ui with PB4 after using xperl for ages. So far the only thing I'm missing about xperl is the little box that displays the number of raid members on your target. I've looked everywhere I could think of for an option so I googled it and there's a post on the previous page that asks for the same thing I'm looking for, but there's no answer. Just wondering if anyone happens to have any insight, ie how to do it or if it simply isn't a current capability of the addon. Thanks

You should be able to do this with luatext. If you are somewhat familiar with it, look up GetNumRaidMembers and GetRaidRosterInfo on wowwiki

I've been fiddling with PitBull for a while now but haven't been able to successfully do this one last thing: show select buffs or debuffs ON the frame itself, ala Healbot, Grid, VuhDo. It's the only thing I'm not totally satisfied with and keeps making me wonder if I should just forget it and get a Grid/VuhDo. I don't want to use multiple addons (i.e. PitBull for unit frames and then Grid for raid frames, or multiple raid frames) which is why I'm trying to make PitBull (with Clique, and SBF) enough for my secondary main, a disc priest. Showing buffs when mousing over a frame (using SBF) just isn't enough to take in quickly if I need to re-shield yet.

I keep feeling that there is just something I'm not doing correctly (I'm using PitBull 4). I've fiddled with the auras section, experimenting with different placements and flowing and strata for the auras but it just doesn't seem to show up over the bars themselves.

Edited to add: I found it -- the offsets (horiz/vertical) were what I wanted.

Hi all,
I have a little question about Pitbull,
I want to change the color of the frame (player, party, raid) when a poison/disease/curse is present on the player concerned.

Is that possible ? i can't find it and it's just exasperating !

Perhaps with dogtag ? but it's for text so i don't know, how can we select a frame? i try with player with Pitbull4_Frames_player, but i think we must select then perhaps just the health bar if we can't change the whole frame

Sorry i'm a bit discouraged

Thanks

EDIT : Sorry i found it in pitbull configuration !
It's under 'editor' section, then 'aura' (for buff section i'm not sure that's the same name in english) then Highlighted and activate with 'debuff i can dispell'

I offer you the following with two comments:

1) Most of it is not my work, I found it in the big thread at WoWAce. I am not taking credit for it.
2) I added the update timer line as triggers weren't working as I would have liked. This may be very bad form. I am not a programmer, I don't know these things.

local prefix,num,size = "raid",0,GetNumRaidMembers()
local size = GetNumRaidMembers()
if size <= 0 then
  prefix = "party"
  size = GetNumPartyMembers()
end
for u=1,size do
  if UnitIsUnit(prefix..u.."target", unit) then
    num = num + 1
  end
end
if num > 0 then
UpdateIn(0.2)
  return "%d", num
end
