Mac Users: Displays Question

So I recently got a MacBook Pro for work and I'm debating on using it for my wow machine since it runs it better than my desktop. I'm having problems hooking it up to my 21" monitor, though. So for anyone that runs Wow on a mac laptop, and uses an external display, this is for you.

Basically, when I try and mirror it and run 1600x1050, it doesn't really work. I'm guessing this is because the mac's display can't go that high. That's cool.

But when I don't mirror it, I can't make wow "see" the higher resolution of my external display, and the max it will let me choose is 1440x900 (the mac's highest). I wouldn't really even mind playing in 1440x900, except that also when I don't mirror it, it doesn't take up the full screen on my external monitor (I can drag it bigger but it still has a title bar and border), and when I click the "full screen" check box in video options it automatically goes to full screen on my mac's display, not the external monitor, and I can't seem to change that.

Any ideas?

Drag your menu bar to the external display in the Displays system preferences panel. This will make it the "primary" display and WoW will load and run there when launched. You should able to go full resolution then.

Get yourself a 30" HD screen, you'll love yourself for it.

I tried that, and when I clicked the "full screen" box in wow it still switched over to the latop screen. I *may* have had wow up the whole time, so I'll try restarting it with the external as my primary.

After reading Rand's post today, I really want two monitors. If I could get the stupid windowed mode thing to work, I'll probably get an iCurve (called Elevator now) so it's like having two displays.

They're pricey, but oh man the eye candy of having a 30" monitor on your desktop is sweet.
