Thanks, Chicken. I'll play with it again at lunch today and check out those two areas.

You can change the OOR opacity for Grid in Status > Out of Range > Color.

You can also check the Healer Addons thread for more Grid configuration discussion/tips:

Healers tools

Also of note, for those who like to tweak their Grid appearance, the recent versions of Grid now has access to the fonts and statusbar textures in the SharedMedia library. Just make sure SharedMedia is installed and look in the Frame > Advanced options.

I installed ozRaid (continued) last night. (Got it from curse-gaming) it is pretty sleek.

So I replaced CTRA with oRA2 and sRaidframes and while it's the perfect match for what I'm looking for, sRaidframes lags everytime someone logs or zones (same thing happened with CTRA back when 2.0 came out, but it was fixed by the CTRA ppl). Anyone know if this is being worked on or know of a way for me to fix it (in layman's terms =P)?

Daedelus, I'm having the same issue with updating and Grid. It's a fresh mod for me, so I have the most up to date currently. Right now, it updates most of the raid, however there are always 4-5 who show missing health on my bars, even if they're fully healed. I click on their names in party and on the frame, however it doesn't update their health. /rl or if the person takes damage again, it will update/show the correct health values, however. it's impracticle to do during a fight. Decreasing health always updates for me. It's only not updating when people are healed/at full.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

not using sRF, i said i'd have to switch to sRF if i couldn't find a solution for grid because as a healer its not good having half empty bars in your raid frames when someone is at full health.

I would suggest perhaps going and dling an older version and/or clearing out your wtf folder of all things grid and re setting up, its a bit time consuming, but hey hop in an AV and farm some honor while u get those frames working.

Something interesting I've found is if I buff them with Mark of the Wild (which I have a red dot in the upper left corner set up for) it updates their health bar, but not if I do lifebloom (green dot in the right.) I'm not sure if that helps anyone. Just what I've been seeing.

Semi-tangent. I just reinstalled Windows and WoW. I loaded up sRaidFrame but it doesn't show on my desktop anymore. I see the Fubar plug-in, but I don't see the raid frames anywhere. I tried resetting the layout, and changing the spacing and scale, but no magic.

I downloaded the latest version off of wowace.com. I also deleted my WTF folder.

I loaded up Grid and grid displays just fine.

Has anyone else run into this issue before? Is there some reset option I'm missing?

Otherwise I'm not sure what other raid frames I can use in sRaidFrames place. I don't like the layout of grid as much.

ok i think i've found a solution the grid problem.

What i had to do was create a grid.lua file in user preferences as there didn't appear to be one, after doing this grid started working as normal.

I'm not sure if there is not meant to be a grid user preferences file created by default but after creating one it start updating itself and displaying the data correctly (health bars updated correctly etc.).

Hope this helps anyone who is having problems with Grid.

Grab the WAU program and download sRF's from there. You might be having a library issu and WAU will download all the libraries you will need to get it to work.

I never download anything from the site now, just use WAU and get it there as I know it has everything that i'll need to run.

Had two guildies having the exact same problem you describe. We tried EVERYTHING to make it work for them but just couldnt figure out what the problem was. One of them even did a complete fresh WoW reinstall and it still refused to work. Either the xperl raidframes or sraidframes wanted to load (both have been using SRF for ages without problems) and what version didnt seem to make any difference. It all started on some specific WoW patch, I think it was 2.1. Grid is the only raidframe that works for them, and afaik that is still the case.

The mods load fine but the raidframes just refuse to show when you enter raidmode. Seems like some bug in the WoW client so the raidframe mods dont receive the proper "enter raid" event.

I'm afraid I don't know how to create a grid.lua. What is involved?

i'll see if i can find you a custom one to test.

The grid.lua in the user preferences folder is just a collection of your preferred settings for grid.

EDIT: http://fabrikate.org/ui/Grid.lua try using that one and see if it allows the bars to update correctly, it probably won't be the ideal setup for you but it will allow you to see if it fixes the issue.
