Is there a mod to see vendor prices of quest rewards?

I'm burning through outland just AH'ing eagle/sorcerer gear and would like to know how to aim for maximum payouts in the meantime.

WoWecon does this at least. I'd guess Auctioneer does as well.

Auctioneer does it, but it's a big memory investment for a small part of the app (though you can keep the main part of auctioneer disabled full-time or until you go to the AH), and the necessary mod for the function (EnhTooltip) doesn't play well with other tooltip mods.

Obviously the information is available to the client, though, so it probably wouldn't be too hard for someone who knew how to code to make a small addon. Unfortunately, I am not that gentleman.

Because my laptop didn't use Auctioneer, and this is a kludge at best, I would just call up the quest on wowhead and look at the vendor prices on the tooltip (no need to actually click).

As a general principle, though, I've found that mail quest rewards (for armor) seem to vend for more than other armor-types (with a few exceptions), but of course, if you have the choice of a weapon, that will vend for the most. Trinkets vend for the least.

You can just get each separate part of Auctioneer instead of the complete package. Just go to http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/ and get the latest release of the Informant mod.

I used WoWEcon just for quest sellvalues for a while, but it really isn't necessary. 2H > 1H > Ranged > Plate > Mail > Leather > Cloth is nearly always accurate. There's a few oddities, but not enough to worry about.

Going a little deeper ... I went through an analyzed a bunch of items once. This doesn't hold true for all items, but it's a fairly decent guidline:

2H >>> 1H >> Ranged > Plate Legs/Chest >> Mail Legs/Chest > Plate Shoulder/Head/Feet > Leather Chest/Legs > Mail Shoulder/Head/Feet > Cloth Chest/Legs / Leather Shoulder/Head/Feat > Plate Waist/Hands/Wrist > Mail Waist/Hands/Wrist > Cloth Shoulder/Head/Feat > Leather Waist/Hands/Wrist > Cloth Waist/Hands/Wrist

Basically, plate > mail > leather > cloth, but it can be overridden because legs/chest > shoulder/head/feet > waist/hands/wrist.

I've started using SellFish, which is a mod by Tuller who also wrote OmniCC (a cooldown counter) and Ludwig (loot link).
I believe the person who wrote ColaLight recently stopped updating it with the recommendation to switch to Sellfish
