Grid-like mod for mobs.

I have a bit of an odd question. Has anyone come across a mod that would "scan" mobs around the area and setup grid like interface for all of them? Is that even possible?

I do like ORA2's main tank window, but sometimes I wish I could see mobs engaged by the raid in their own window with hp percentages. Just like grid displays players in the raid.

You can't scan an area for mobs but if you want to see what your group is targeting, http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Perfect_Targets should do it. (No guarantee that the mod is up-to-date, though.)

Did you ever look at perfect targets?

I thought it wasn't being updated but there is a version on the svn from 5/15

It's not quite grid but looks like it displays what you want

I've heard some talk about BananaBar having a feature kind of like this on a topic recently. Not exactly the same though, but at least some features to figure out whether people are targetting something and what they're targeting in a grid-like display.

I have been using Perfect Targets for ages, I believe the current version still works (the version I have does, I haven't modded it, I got it from the site...).

If a mob isn't currently targeted by someone, as far as the UI knows, it doesn't exist. I think you can make small exceptions - fake frames for units that you think are still around, but that would involve a lot of overhead (estimating the damage on them, so you can clean them up if they die to DoTs, for example), and I think, mouseover-target frames.

Perfect Targets is great, I couldn't imagine raid leading without it. "Hey, guys, I know it's really cool to hear two mobs die simultaneously, but let's pretend we're pros and assist..."

Do they also work together with Grid now? I remember that there was some sort of incompatibility before?

I keep 3 hotkeys bound to marking targets, the most prominent one being skull. Actually works pretty well when people are paying attention... including me, to get it up on the next target as soon as (or even a little before) something dies. I also prefer it to assisting so that I can bounce around targets to maintain aggro on everything, and people still have a clear idea of what they should be attacking.

The flipside of the coin is how frustrating it is when you KNOW people can see that skull, regardless of mobs, and just dont care enough to do more than go after the first thing that tab selects.
