Bongos in 2.1
It doesn't appear to be working, in that it's not showing any bars, the default Blizzard bars are visible, and the /bob menu has very few options.
The latest I was able to find on curse and wowinterface was from 5/7.

This is why sometimes it's good to have the patch a day later in the EU, lots of mods getting unbroken on tuesday :p

Bongos seems to be working fine for me. Then again I didn't have the latest version installed. Honestly only thing not working right now is some quest addon.

Kindof in this same category, I'm using Trinity Bars and it's not swapping bars when I shapeshift while in combat. I assume there was some change with this function in the patch. Seems like a problem that would be simple to fix if you knew the code, but I unfortunately don't. The mod author has been AWOL since february, hoping someone else will find a fix for it so I don't have to change action bars on all my characters.

I had that issue with Trinity either on the December 2.0 patch, TBC launch, or some major patch after. It turns out there's nothing wrong with the code, but some variables saved was causing it to incorrectly interact with blizzard's combat lockdowns.
Deleting the wtf folder files for Trinity and working it from scratch fixed it. Tedious and unfortunate, but o well :/
For the record, I just logged in post-patch today, zero errors with trinity, forms and combat lockdown.

Just went ahead and deleted my SV files, deleted the character specific files and the ones in my main SV folder, restarted, logged back in, bars still don't swap on form changes while in combat.

Had just downloaded Bongos from that link when I saw that the Trinity Author had posting saying that the mod was working fine for him, and that he believed other mods might be tainting the buttons. After some trial and error, I found that disabling AutoBar fixed Trinity Bars. This may be the case for others with other bar mods, and there might be other mods besides AutoBar that would cause this to happen.

I'd suggest disabling other mods one at a time and trying to figure out what might be tainting your stance bar. It could be something other than AutoBar. That's the best advice I can give.

I've given up on bongos for now since bongos 2 has no options pane yet and it refuses to load my profile from the command prompt.
What I'd like in the meantime while I wait for a working fix is something that removes those 2 annoying gargoyles from the default actionbars and maybe also lets me move them around.
Is there anything out there that will do this? Does skinner?

Bongos appears to have been rendered useless for me too. While it will happily comply and switch bars when I change to Bear or Travel form, it doesn't matter what paging/stances are set, it bluntly refuses to change any bar at all when I switch to Cat.
The same problem was in the last version but you could bypass that by having the Cat bars be default and then switch to different bars when you went into Caster / Bear / whatever.
The latest version has removed any bar switching when entering Caster now though (as far as I can tell). I now can't find any way at all to page to different bars when I drop to Cat form.

"/bob menu" will bring up the options pane. The only difference is that he moved Stances/Paging into a bar options page that you bring up by right clicking the applicable bar. It works fine for me, even remembered my Shadow/Healer stances. I did have to rebind the hotkeys, since those aparently got nuked with the change.

I have not yet updated Bongos but I didn't get any Bongos errors last night, my priest had all the bars showing in the correct locations with keybindings working, my druid also seemed fine in caster/cat forms (will try others tonight), so maybe the issue is other mods tainting the bars. Besides Bongos, I don't have any other bar mods running.

I downloaded the latest bongos2 last night and it now has an options panel with minimap icon which is great since I couldnt get any of the command line functionality to work.
But I'm having one problem with it currently. I cannot assign hotkeys. Yes I am in bindings mode and yes I am hovering over the hotkey I want to assign the hotkey to.
The bars are not locked (so you cant actually click a button on any bar, it will just drag the bar around instead) which is the way its supposed to be in order to bind keys to buttons (or at least that's how it worked with previous versions).
The problem is, when I click the key I want to bind to that button it instead casts the spell that is currently bound to that key. This prevents me from being able to assign new hotkeys.
Anyone else having an issue with this? Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, lock the bars, you have it backwards. I am pretty sure you are wrong about it working that way in previous versions.

Yeah, if the bars are not locked you can't assign hotkeys. Bongos has always been like that.
If they aren't locked you can't do anything but move the bars.

Is there a reason the author designed the mod to be "bongos2" in my addon folder vs just overwriting "bongos"? Maybe b/c it's a beta?
In any case, when I first installed B2 I had 2 buttons around my mini map. I figured "unchecking" bongos (the initial install) would solve the problem - but it didn't. And now, whenever I try and move the bongo's 2 minimap button around it moves at light speed around the map with a millimeter of mouse movement. Odd.

Sorry about the thread res, but I've had no luck on the official UI boards or Wowinterface.
I'm using the newest Bongos2 release and the bars themselves work fine but my 'options' bars don't (bags, menu, keyring). They're stuck in the middle of my screen, are unscalable, unhideable and will only anchor to where I drag the Bongos bar outline if I right-click the bar outline and toggle/untoggle the Vertical checkbox. If I have to do a /console reloadui for whatever reason, these bars switch back to the middle of my screen again. Anyone having these problems and found a solution?

Hm, Bongos is working fine for me. Make sure you are indeed using the latest version:
http://code.google.com/p/tullamods/
If you're upgrading to Bongos2 from Bongos, you might have to reset your profile and/or delete your savedvariables.

I'm absolutely sure I'm using the newest and I tried both of your suggestions last night too, neither helped. I've looked through my other addons thinking they may be causing a conflict, but there's nothing obvious that I can tell. It's really frustrating =/.
Ninja edit reply to the post below: Now that I think about it, I do have Visor installed (a UI movement mod) could that be it?
