Anytime I try to interact with an NPC my frame looks like this:


My guild frame is also bugged and won't display.

Any ideas on what I could do to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!

1) Make sure you have the latest version of all your mods.

2) Disable all mods to see if it still is borked. If so, back up your interface, delete your WDB folder, and go from there.

3) If it looks ok with no mods, re-enable them bit by bit to see what's causing the error.

4) If none of that works, try posting on the UI forums detailing what you've done to fix it.

I had the same thing and thought it might have been skinner but after turning it off it didn't change. so I turned off the load out of date addons option and it got fixed. I will dig through all my addons later.

This doesn't occur right after logging in, but I can't click it away. Keeps popping up.. the new Recipe links work fine so I don't think they're causing it, can someone translate the tech speech?

Please tell here if you find the addon that causes the filler text problem when talking with NPC's. I tested PTR briefly and I had exactly the same problem, most likely because I only copied my interface folder to the PTR-version folder. It will take some hours before I get home from work, so can't test it myself and finding the problem addon might take some time.

I know! I systematically turned on and off every mod, and MoveAnything was the culprit. MoveAnything gave these other subtle problems:

- Item links in chat unclicable
- No model displays in the dressing room
- Inability to access new mail

If anyone knows of a working version of this mod or an analog, please let me know! I hate having my castbar way down at the bottom of the screen, and the default tooltip location drives me nuts.

There is a working version of MoveAnything on Curse. I was having these exact errors, and downloading the latest version fixed a whole crap-ton of issues in one whack. Here's a link:

After the patch I have updated most of my mods, especially Ace ones (just checked files.wowace.com a few mins ago) <i'm using Bigwig, AGUF, Bartender, Grid and oRA2>. However one of them seems to be bugged. First is this:

^ I get a avatar (of myself or party member) where my target unitframe suppose to be. It's just stay there, does not disappear even if I dont target anything. Rightclicking it does nothing as well :/ Only if I relog / zone in out instance it will disappear.

However i can live with it for a while, but this is the other bug, every time if I got d/c or log out in a raid (maybe party as well, haven't checked yet) I can NOT log back in. The loading screen finish, some of mods got load, unit frames appear, and then everything just stop :/ I can move my cursor but cant click anything / nothing continue loading on my screen and I had to alt f4 out. After disabling some mods I think this is AGUF bug (since it doesnt happen after i stop'd AGUF), but i'm not 100% sure though.

Does any of you got this bug as well? If so anyone know how to fix it? <already delete my WTF and WDB, install lastest version of my mods>

I'm having the same issue as you do, unfortunately i was unable to reproduce the bug or
pin it down to a specific Addon yet. I'll try to investigate it tomorrow, please let me know if
you've found a solution

- ElkBuffbar
- ItemRack
- NECB

I switched from ag_uf to PitBull and the problem vanished.

This is a shot in the dark, but it seems to me that AutoBar and ItemRack have the same kind of bar functionality. Try updating ItemRack and see if that fixes your problem maybe? If not, I guess it's time to tediously disable/enable every addon until the problem goes away.

Not to mention, CT_Raid+CT_Boss = oRA+BigWigs = RDX.

Talk about overlapping and redundant mods. You could probaly remove about 5 of the mods listed and have the same functionality.

I don't really know if this is a mod problem but i don't see any other possibility, since 2.1 every time i start WoW, my resolution goes back to default, anyone else experienced the same issue or has any leads to how to solve it?

Yeah, that happens more often than I have an explanation for.

Also, are you on Vista? Do you use multiple accounts? Do you have any package Addons (Ie "CoolGuyUI" instead of a bunch of addons)?

This exact same thing happened at Mag last night to me. Was on cube duty no less, but the game lagged out and disconnected me. I immediately logged back in, joined the raid, a few unit frames popped up, and then I was frozen. Exactly as you describe.

Once I disabled AGUF the problem disappeared. I downloaded the latest release on wowace.com as of last night but have yet to try it. A couple other guildies experienced the same problems that went away when they disabled AGUF.

The file is config.wtf in my WTF folder right? Its not set to read only , and when i open it the resolution is correct.

I use 2 accounts yes but i never had this happen to me before, and i don't use packages, only separate addons

I had a similar problem but it happened whenever i enabled SW Stats. I deleted SW Stats from my addons folder and still could not get in but a computer reset fixed that. I have since downloaded 2.1.2 SW stats and have no problems. If it happens again i will have to point the finger at aguf and will most likely switch to pitbull.

I tried disabled SWS but the problem was still there (at least till last night) so its likely aguf. I switched to Pitbull to see if it was AGUF's or not :/

BTW, if you got the bug and need to log back asap, tell raid leader to /kick you out and invite you back

The only way I was able to log back in after a disconnect was when everyone had moved off the screen to a different area. To me it just seems like there were so many players/data on screen that you just freeze up? I tried about 5-6 times and each time I would enter and completely freeze up. Once everyone moved down the ramps in mag's lair out of range I was able to login fine.

The same thing happened to a priest on the mag fight, disconnected and tried to login but froze up every time right when he entered. We all had to move out of magtheridon's room and he was finally able to login normally.
