You know the saying: "never change a running system"?
This is why you should not use the ace updater. If you got a running system keep it running.
To answer your question: I do not, since I do not update my addons automatically.

Your problems come from the rocks framework which is newly integrated into pitbull and is still buggy.

The latest Rock-dependent Pitbull works fine, actually, even with your modifications (though yes, WoWAceUpdater will always overwrite those changes).

To the previous poster, to fix yourself up just copy the *.tga files from zork's UI package in the Pitbull folder over your own.

Been using zork's UI for a few days and loving it. Just minor tweaks, really. Making room for YATA, tightening up the TopPanel, etc.

But... anyone know how to remove the German localizations for Mik's SBT? I did the obvious thing, check the value in my Config.wtf. It's now

SET locale "enUS"

But I still get "Gesundheit" warnings if my health gets too long and "+kamph/-kamph". I admit that the "Gesundheit" warning makes me laugh, but I really should be paying attention.

I also downloaded a fresh copy of MSBT. I don't *really* want to clear the SavedVariables, because I like the layout and I might run into other mods that think I'm deDE. because I don't know if the localization is hidden in MSTB or elsewhere.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

That'sa Comix .... addon which plays comix sound and animation when you crit ..can be obtaind on WoWInterface

Infinibar is alright (im using Bartender3 at the moment not discord since DAB arent working properly)

Pitbull is just too little in front of discord unitframes. Details are those that make the difference and i guess you cannot see them. Eg. i want my buffs and debuffs shown in the places i want, starting and filling the way i want, the timers under them with the format i want and the font i want. I want them to flash when the timer reaches a specific amount and the numbers to change color. Pitbull has fixed options for example for these which are not enough for me. And no i dont wanna use any other buff bar which actually again doesnt offer such things.

The other thing is Discord frame modifier. You can simply move and change every single frame of your UI. There are several details on my UI that you cant see on the screens. E.g batteground items (e.g. flags in wsg) are moved down above the bars, message like "not enough energy" "not ready yet" etc are moved under the character and a lot more small detailed things like enable on mouse over things, rules for frames when something appears or its done so soemthing else can be auto enabled or disabled

Discord is just a light year ahead still. Not that i didnt like my pitbull eepanels2 UI as a matter of fact i like it real much thats why i use it as a leveling ui on my alts to be light and minimalistic. But if you want to adjust details in your needs you want a powerful tool that offers the corresponding options to do it and didnt find something like discord. Open on suggestion of course if there are better tools

Have you tried Visor? I use it to accomplish the same goals and it works fine from my experience.

I have a question to ask and I'm not sure if this is the place in which to do it. But I don't have my 10 posts needed to start a new thread and, well, EJ is a bit intimidating.

I am in the mood to change my UI in order to play with eePanels 2 and to get rid of Aperture for once and for all. The main reason for my desire to change is because I want to attempt to create a Raid UI that is minimal on it memory usage and I am not sure where to start and which addons are going to be more efficient than others.

Currently, I use two Unitframe mods in raid: Perfect Raid and AGUF. It seems to me that it would be better to condense them. Second, I am thinking strongly about dumping Recount (which I love) and just running WWS after raids (or risking Alt-Tabbing disconnects during raids) to get rid of that memory load.

The rest, however, I could use some input on.

My major addons are: AGUF, PerfectRaid, BigWigs, oRA2, Omen, TrinketMenu, Bongos, Eavesdrop, Fubar + plugins, ArkInventory, Prat, ClearFont2, Aloft, the ace version of MCP, DoTimer, ElkBuffBars, eePanels, SCT/SCTD, Cartographer, Cowtips, Outfitter, XRS and I think that's it during raids (I try to remember to unload as many non raid essential addons as possible during raids--not that my screenshot shows it from that night).

Which of the addons out there, are the best for raids that are also memory efficient? And which ones can one not live without regardless of memory consumption?

Here's my first time ever posting a screenshot of my UI, so bear with me. Up till now I've been a steady user of somewhat simple UI, with the bottom 20% blacked out, filled with chatboxes, actionbars, meters and minimap. This has been really satisfying for me.

I've stopped actively raiding as a tank, so I've find some freedom to play around with my UI on my newly rolled alt. Btw, starting over on a new server, with no money and no familiars is awesome - it's like playing the game all over again.

Anyway, here's my UI:

Apoligies for not getting one where I'm grouped. The visible parts of my UI are: Pitbull, Bartender3, simpleMinimap, Prat, elkBuffBars, EavesDrop. Quartz, ClassTimers and Parrot. It's a work in progress, but i'm fairly happy with having a bright (well, brigher than my usual) UI. It's quite ordinary, I know, but I figured it couldnt hurt to show it. Who knows, I might even get some advice for improving it.

I got that problem after installing the newest DoTimer (3.4.4). It now has a player buff/debuff mod included called PlayerAuras that somehow seems to conflict with other buff bars, deleting the Ash_PlayerAuras folder in my DoTimer_Package folder solved that.

I have a very basic question

How can you focus on your unitframes when most of the action takes place in the middle of the screen. Most UI's including myself use the normal layout unitframes at the bottom centre. I have never adopted myself to move the unitframes from the afro mentioned position hence im asking

This is both true and false. first of all. Discord was a great addon and so far i didn't see any addon that got to it's level of details. i agree that discord let you do EVERYTHING you want with panels\unit frames.

But then again, on the other hand you have great mods which are live for almost no time in comparison to discord, for example eePanels which is still in it's dippers, and now with eePanels2 it's starting to get futures which are getting close to Discord and if this will keep on going it will be in the level that discord was. for the unitframes you have plenty of addons which let you customize your unit frames as you like, they are not discord or have options which are close to being discord but they are getting there. in addition the mods nowdays (for these categories) are easy-on-memory, this is of course in comparison to Discord, which was getting huge on memory when you had lots of panels.

So. in conclusion, the addons which exist nowadays are not discord and will never be (well..one is discord and the other is eepanels. what are you? a dumb :P) but there is nothing to do, Discord is dead as we all saw on the offical blizzard forums, by my guess there will always be 'hacked' versions of discord. but all you can really do now is try new addons; play with ALL of their options and see if you can get something nice out of it. going back to discord won't really help to be honest as it's dead, when the post of discord's death was posted i though it was a joke, then i was socked, then just..got over it and today the only part of discord I'm using is discord library (great mod) to copy and paste colors when i twick addons so i can have the exact same color.

So..I suggest you to MOVE ON. Accept the fact that discord is dead and try to get the most of it (i.e trying new addons and exploring the topic some more. as when you use addon a with addon b with addon c you can get a super powerful combunation of addons which can top anything else if combined in the right setup).

None of that makes any sense, but maybe that's just because your grammar is so hard to follow. Discord isn't updated anymore but it still offers more control to the user than anything else out there. If other mods surpass Discord, that's when he should make the switch, but why bother switching just because there's the possibility that other mods might be better in the future?

Just because it's no longer updated doesn't mean it's not better.

I'm sort of curious about seperates discord from other Unit frames, my expierience with it is pretty small, I remember trying it out once when it was fairly new and giving up on it because of ridiculous amount of options and the complexity of the whole thing.

Just yesterday I spent probably a good 3 hours working and redoing player/target/tot/tott/focus/pet frames with Pitbull from scratch and maybe I just wasn't being super creative but I never ran into anything where I said "Gee I wish I could do that". This is mainly me just being curious, I'm not trying to say you guys are wrong in your belief.

I could use some help with x-perl customization.
The problem is it doesnt show my debuffs. May be i disabled it, not sure, but didnt find where i can enable it bk.
Usually i am dealing with such problems decently ez but this one is getting out of hand for me. Seems like i tried everything and it doesnt work.
So anyone can tell me where can i turn on my debuffs showing?
