Caith's dot timer is just the Classtimer mod with a different texture and customized.

First off, thanks for the great response and praise here on the forums as well as PMs to my initial UI post ( here).
I've been working on improving it while ckk worked out the bugs with the conversion of FuBar, Parrot, Cartographer and PitBull to Rock. Over the past 24 hours it seems most, if not all of the glaring bugs have been fixed, so here's the releasable version!
The improved version:
Of course, screenshots don't show everything, so here's an updated clip: YouTube - SethikUI v1.0
Idle, no target:
With target + SWS/Omen active:
Raid/BG (Note the addition of Grid):
The new, awesome buff style is inspired by Ryas' great debuff icons.
Not easily visible in the screenshots or video:
Mouse-over pet bar to the left of your pet's unitframe.
A set of 6 mouse-over buttons on the right side of the minimap. I use it for tracking/professions.
Threat is displayed in the top-right corner of the portrait. Omen is also included.
Download: RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting
Install: Extract all 3 folders to the base WoW folder, overwriting all. Rename WTF\AccountName to your own. There is a hidden button on the bottom-left of the chatframe - click it, then unlock the chatframe and drag it to the corner (or wherever you want it.)
Note that this is configured for 1680x1050 (wide), however I plan to have 1600x1200 and 1280x1024 versions soon.
This release includes the non-pure UI mods BigWigs, Omen, SW Stats, oRA2, and RatingBuster, all preconfigured, so you should be good to go for raiding, if you choose to do so.

VisualThemes, a new Ace addon, provides the window fading. MiniChat, another Ace addon, provides the chat auto-min/max trickery.

I would appreciate it, because I’ve never wanted to copy an UI before but the way yours is laid out and all the cool little tricks it does, makes me very interested.

Sure, here you go:

eePanels2
ElkBuffBars
FuBar (Ammo/Clock/DuraTek/Guild/Money/Performance/SWStats/tTracker)
MiniChat

Again, thanks for the kind comments everyone. Hope you enjoy it!
Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Set your Multisampling to the following: XX-bit Color XX-bit Depth 1x multisampling.
That will remove any "smoothing" going on caused by your WoW.

I'm not extremely computer savvy so what you've posted that I quoted doesn't really make that much sense to me. I guess in particular I'm talking about your examples in quotes, is the difference in whether or not some addons find the border really that some files are using the root with a bracket going / instead of \ and one bracket instead of two? Is that what makes the difference?
I've been trying for a good couple of hours to get borders around a totem timer mod that I use(Enhancer), I started by going through all of the .lua files in the addon and doing searches within them for exactly "Interface/Tooltips/UI-Tooltip-Border" and changing them to exactly "Interface\\Tooltips\\UI-Tooltip-Border". I even went through and searched all of the libraries in this addons folder and changed the text just like above but still no luck, default borders.
I also did a couple of searches on my computer for the quoted text but it didn't seem to make much sense, I get about 180 results most of which .xml files of various addons, some .txt files that are usually just changelogs in my addons. and stuff that just seems unrelated. I'm also on a mac so I can't narrow my search down like you suggested.
|
Have you put a new border file into your "Interface\Tooltips"-Folder?
Maybe totemtimer (I don't know about that addon) is using some own border (like pitbull aura frame) and you need to edit this one.
Other than that its what I described about, do a search for it and replace "/" with "\\".
@shuuk
nice borders :>

yeah that removes any smoothing in the whole game not only on the interface, which I do not want

What I did was take the tooltips folder from your UI and put it in my interface folder, so I should be okay there. And the totem timer mod is using it's own border(looks like the default blizzard ones) so I went through all of it's lua's changing things as you said but I still get blizzard borders, so it leaves me pretty confused :\.

Thank you much, I've d/l'ed and incorporated this mod into my UI, however..
/classtimer barsettings general debuffs: is supposed to turn on/off bars
/classtimer barsettings general Debuffs: is supposed to allow me to change colors.
...they both turn bars on/off.. = ( Any help here?

Still needs some minor tweaking but I consider it nearly done so far.
In PvE raids Recount is used for threat management just under the rdx main menu bar on the top left and I'm not really sure by now if OnScreenHealth is necessary. Sometimes I think it confuses me more than it helps tracking enemy health. LODFu is just in there for testing purposes.
I would like to add an addon that allows me to save complete desktop layouts of ace addons (just like RDX does with its windows) to easily switch between different setups for a given situation. Currently I don't know one but if anyone knows please feel free to reply.
