Greetz, im looking for a mod that will warn me when my multishot is about to hit more than one target. I tried to search within the forums, but wasnt successfull. Sorry if it is somewhere deep in the forums....Additionally, it would be great if i would be able to implement this mod into a macro that way that it would not cast multi, but arcane if multi should hit more than one target....

You cannot have mods make intelligent decisions for you. It might be possible for a mod to judge which mobs are in range of a multishot, but usually you can make the decision based on what initial mob you are targetting. I really dont think a mod like this can exist in the game. I dont know why would somebody need this mod if this is easily eyeballed on screen.

No mod can make inteligent decision, it helps me to make the decision without need to check distance of cc'ed mobs or without checking if there is something cc'ed behind....or i just need/want to hit all three/two targets (maximize dps in pvp encounters) at max possible range and cannot afford to wait for another multi CD......anyways, this would help me a bit.....

im really not xperienced in moddin', so dunno if this is possible (and if it is, if it actually would be effective to use that addon since it could take some fps off or the evaluation would take so much time (more than 0,4s and thats too much anyways) that i wouldn't be able to squeeze it in between the shots...)

To answer your first question: No, there's no way to detect range apart from calculating the different spells that can reach a target, and even then it'll only be in groups. As such, you can't check how far between a certain set of mobs are, or whether or not your multishot will hit more than one target.

As for the macro/mod, that has already been answered, but for clarification; in patch 2.0 Blizzard removed ALL decision making functionality from the script interface. If you weren't around and you're interested, you might have some luck searching for Decursive threads regarding patch 2.0.
