Yeah I know I know, but the symptoms were just so similar to the ones mentioned before, working fine on the first try (and everywhere else for the rest of the instance), and then suddenly stops working after a wipe on this particular boss.

My apologies, this is my first post here. This did not seem true for us. My guild is preparing for the first boss of ZA, and while testing the taunt-trading in Kara yesterday, Omen did not reset taunter's threat to highest level of anything. Our tanks are Pally and Druid. I had heard that there might be some Omen issues with Paladin taunt, can anyone confirm?

Has anyone noticed an issue with omen and hunters threat (I assume from FD resists)?
In the last 2 days we have had hunters pull aggro on both Kaz and Illidan when they were at least 40k below the main tank on everyones threat meters.
Is there a known issue I have not heard of?

If you feign, and it's not resisted, but you move (or "are moved" by a knockback ability) too soon, your feign won't clear your threat, but Omen will think it did.

Is there any way to force reset threat on omen anymore? I couldn't find anything on the interface to do it, but is there some sort of script command that will clear everyones threat?

Last night, on Void Reaver, we had some really messed up threat values; our Druids were reported accurately, but our Prot Warrior from about 30% on was consistantly signifigantly higher on the meter. I checked versions, and there was nothing that stood out as odd; I was running the most recent version, as were both Druid tanks and the Warrior tank. I have full logs of the fight, if a massive text file could be any use.

It seems that Omen hasn't been updated with the new pet growl scaling from 2.4.2. Has anyone done the testing required to determine the new formula? I've started doing it with the following method:
1. Let my pet get 1 growl (and usually 1 melee attack, for damage D) on a mob, then put him on Passive/Stay.
2. Take a couple melee swings at the mob to bring my threat close to his
3. Use rank 1 immolation trap while still standing in melee range, recording my total damage done on the last dot tick before I pull aggro (X), and after the dot tick that causes me to pull aggro (Y).
Then, the strength of growl is at least X/1.1 - D, and no more than Y/1.1 - D.
Is this an accurate way to do the testing? I'm concerned that the application of the immolation debuff may cause threat of its own.
So far I have 3 data points:
Hunter AP: 2050, Growl bounds: 818 - 851
Hunter AP: 2212, Growl bounds: 952 - 986
Hunter AP: 2419, Growl bounds: 1217 - 1252
But I'm getting good at it, it's taking 15-20 minutes per data point.

After continuing testing, I think Blizzard lied to us.
Hunter AP = 2866, Growl strength = ~1800
Hunter AP = 2866, Blessing of might on pet: Growl strength = ~3050
Patch Notes:
# Boar Charge: This ability will no longer make Growl cast immediately after it generates excessive threat.
# The pet ability Growl will no longer scale with pet Attack Power and now scales with the hunter鈥檚 Attack Power.
|
In all likelihood, growl threat wasn't changed at all, with the exception of the Charge nerf.

Hey guys,
I have a huge display bug on one of my characters. Omen works perfectly fine on my hunter, rogue and priest. Unfortunately, I just can't get it to work on my druid.
Here is what it looks like:
I tried disabling all of my addons, it did not work. I am using the latest version of Omen...
I've been looking around on forums, curse, etc and can't seem to find a fix for this.
Thanks for your help!

That seems to be the default display when you don't already have a profile for that character. Grab the resize handle sort of at the top left and resize it (drag it towards the lower right) and it should 'unfold' into the regular display you're used to.

I've had this bug happen even after staying on the ground for a second or two before resuming dps. Happened to me last night on Anetheron. I even use a Feign Death macro that has /stopcasting in it before the /cast Feign Death, so that it'll stop my steady shot mid cast. This has happened to all 3 of our hunters on different fights (Illidan, Archimonde, Bloodboil, Gorefiend, etc)

Hey guys,
I got a nice little problem with omen atm. I am currenlty the MT of my guild and I reworked my ui from scratch. Everything is workign great but omen atm. For some reason threat isnt showing up at all. I use wow ace to keep all of my mods up to date.
I did some forum searching and I thought I might have found the issue but it did not work. I didnt have threat2.0 so i updated to that but still no go.
I figure it might be an addon conflict, but im not sure which one it could possibly be. I can post a SS of installed addons if that will help you guys solve this issue.
I also tried deleted the omen saved variables and addon folder, then using a fresh install of omen but it didnt work. Every other mod of mine is up to date, as this was a fresh ui from scratch.

Are you using WAU to update your addons? If so, are you updating with or without externals?

If you dont mind the additional clutter in your interface folder, setting it to update by default WITHOUT externals and automatic dependecy download and then hitting re-install (ctrl+f10) could fix up some bad dependecies.
If you want to keep using the "with externals" variant a simply re-install (ctrl+f10) could fix up any bad embeds in Omen you grab when you updated the last time.

Would help if you were a little more specific.
Are you not seeing anyones threat? Just not your own?
Can you not see omen at all?
If you are not seeing anyones threat, I would make sure you drag it to the middle of your screen. Than resize it (bottom right corner drag it out like a window) and make sure it isn't as simple as omen having no room to display threat lines. (Can use the test feature to check this)

I logged back in like 1 hr ago and it was working again. I didnt change or update anything since my last post so I haveno idea what happened.
This issue I was having is that no threat at all was showing up. I was testing in AV though and for some reason it doesnt work in av for me, but outside of the BG its working now. Strange issue I was having but it seems to be fine for now. Ill hopefully test it tonight on felmyst.

That's a good example of a little annoyance I've had with Omen lately.
Fights/instances where threat is not used, like for example RoS p1 or as shown above Alterac Valley, Omen shows nothing. Which can easily make you believe that it's not working.
Add a text instead of not showing anything, something like "Threat is disabled for this phase or instance."

Not always the case. It glitched on Illidan Phase 1 for 2 of our hunters at the same time. We both pulled aggro, first me and the other hunter after I was killed, and both of us were below at least 2 or 3 other dps'ers at the time on Omen. There is no knockback in Phase 1 Illidan and moving too soon doesn't make a difference. I even have a feign death macro that has /stopcasting in it before the /cast Feign Death.

issues in raid
The issue I'm having with Omen is that I keep dropping off everyone elses Omen. I can see my threat, TPS, who is catching up and everything but others in the raid can't. They see me on it when the fight starts but after a minute or so I drop off it to them. We tested this before the raid and it seemed to work fine on mobs outside the instance but once we get started, it stops working. This is also for every instance, not just a particular one. I've been having this issue from Kara to Sunwell. Any help at all would be appriciated.
