Aye. I can't wait for Wrath just for the unique identifiers on units for reporting. Life will be good for the addon community.

I don't have a source, but I saw somewhere that blizz are considering integrated Threat meter and boss mods for default UI. Now if that happens I might guess they won't bother parsing combat log when server has all the data needed and will just query threat lists directly from server.
edit: Worldofraids forums :: BlizzCon Last Day - source
ps. I dunno if it fixed or not, but last time I was on Kael(about a week ago), Threat was kinda reporting wrong threat to KTM: KTM would reset threat after each advisor on phase 1 and Threat ignored it and kept reporting global threat - had to ask the only person using it to disable reporting to KTM
pps. blizzard said they'll introduce some kind of spell id, but I haven't seen anything about mobs myself
edit: removed comments about mob IDs

Now, I don't want this turning back into a KTM vs Omen fight, but let's put this one to rest. It was said that KTM would get multi-target aggro "soon" long ago, months before Omen was even announced.
Also, less useless than seeing my threat on everything reported the same. Technician packs, for instance, I can use Omen to full effect at least 4 times, while KTM might not even be useful for the very first mob in the same case.

Antiarc,
First of all, thanks for all your good work on Omen. (And, on a side note, on Bartender3 Autobindings. You rock.) Really appreciate it.
Secondly, we were noticing some odd Threat Meter behavior on Leotheras the Blind. Sometimes on the transitions from human->demon, threat would not be cleared on the meter for some people, leading to values that were way wacky (I would be tanking and #10 on the list, for example, with an assorted mix of classes above me).
Unfortunately, as I was leading the raid and we've been wiping a lot to him recently, I was focused on the encounter more than the addon. I don't have any hard data to give you on which classes, what spells, etc. I'm relatively certain everyone was using a recent version of Omen.
When we kill him next week, is there anything I can keep an eye out for that might help you track down this problem?

I generally see a weird reaction to threat clears at least half the time. Leotheras, Supremus, Hydross, Al'ar, whatever. Sometimes the transitions will be smooth and accurate, and sometimes I'll be #1 on threat with 37465% threat while the tank happily tanks away. I've just been attributing it to weird KTM input values from the late adopters in my guild and cursing them roundly in my head. It certainly makes things more interesting when I crit a few times in quick succession after a transition and I have to try and guess where I am on threat.

Is it possible to completely lock Omen so that accidentally clicking on it has no effect?
Now that I have moved / sized the window and coloured the bars to suit my UI, I can do any infrequent changes necessary via the mini map button (I'm sure it's a nice feature but I will never need to pull out bars during a fight).
I seem to accidentally click the Omen window occasionally and then find myself dragging a bar across the screen at the most inopportune moments!

I saw something similar on Leo. It seemed like Omen was resetting just a touch too late. I could double our warlock's threat for the first 7-8 seconds of the fight (He'd eventually overtake me) without pulling agro.

Yes, you can right-click on the title bar and the context menu has an option to "Lock" movement. Just have lock activated and all will be fine

Until you drag out a threat bar by accident? I think he wants to completely kill all clicking on the frame.

Issues with the disappearing tank
My guild is also having issues with tanks "disappearing" or dropping off the meter. I was paying attention closely and it seems to happen on target switches. Suddenly the tank will be back even though his TPS is at zero. It almost acts like some sort of delayed update, since sometimes he shoots back up in the list (we saw this in The Eye on VR, trash in SSC and in Kara on Night Bane).
Of course, we all downloaded the latest version, but some reported 45044/45747 while others listed 45064/can't remember the exact version. Even after grabbing the version listed as 45064 and placing it in my Addons folder, I still report 45044/45747. When I cracked open the Omen.toc, it lists 45064, but the Omen.lua and Threat-1.0.lua list 45044/45747 as minor versions. Could the zip have been screwed up? If so, I don't know where my compatriots got the updated version.

I have been having the same problems with threath resets. It seems to be even worse it KTM has a master target set (we have not fully moved over to omen yet).

Just out of curiosity, is there a specific reason as to why you want this?
I've been running it for months and never had any trouble with the menus while in combat.
|
Sometimes I just accidentally click it when I'm targeting something or moving the camera. It's not a problem as much as an annoyance.
So this is a second request/reminder for an option to disable menus during combat

Maybe I just don't run into this problem because my omen window isn't anywhere near anything I ever click during combat ^_^

Omen miscoloured our arms-warrior, Granikus, at Void Reaver today so that he looked like a mage. Odd bug.

The shadow priest I mentioned before still has problems with his threat not being cleared between attempts (on Tidewalker yesterday after a few attempts he had around 300k threat at the beginning of the fight). I have a screenshot, but currently not available on this computer.
Before the raid I asked him to search for multiple instances of the Threat library (by searching for the .toc resp. the .lua file), he reported to have only one.
Then I adviced him to use the WoWAceUpdater to update his ACE addons with the "Install without Externals" options.
All of this didn't help, and as he was using KTM together with Omen, as the next step I asked him to do was to /ktm disable his KTM. No change.
His version was up to date yesterday, the same as mine (45747 or something, can't remember exactly without the screenshot).
Maybe he did something wrong, maybe some old config files for Threat/Omen were conflicting, but honestly, I've run out of ideas.

Antiarc for the past maybe 3 weeks on Leotheras I've noticed that threat does not seem to clear properly for Leo between whirlwinds and demon phases. Leo changes phases and our tanks will still have heaps of threat on him. Our entire raid is not using Threat though, a lot of people are running both Omen and KTM, or just KTM.

I just thought about something after reading a thread over in the theorycrafting forum. Does Omen (and KTM too i guess) take into account threat enchants?
