Going to try to rename the mod and see what happens, I recently switched from AG to Pitbull so that might explain why Baggins looks so big.

So this if the first time I try out a bag mod and I have a couple questions:

- I'm having an issue where the background to all my bags are transparent. I obviously tried changing the background colour associated with the bag but nothing seemed to change (I also played with the opacity bar thinking that it may have been set to transparent, but no luck there either). Am I missing anything?

- When I grab new items from the mailbox they seem to get put into any old bag regardless of filter. It's only once I open the bag and move the newly acquired item to a different slot that it gets sorted appropriately. Is there any way to get new items placed directly into the correct bag?

Moving the bags to dock them causes WoW to freeze for about a second. (I'm in OS-X if that matters) And while attempting to change the tag of an item in Sanity 2, it completely locked up and forced a reboot.

I was able to fix this issue by having sanity 2 in my addons folder but turned off at the character select screen.

I had the exact same problem and I use Windows. I wish I could provide more specifics - I tagged dozens of items and it only locked up once.

Since I'm sure what Antiarc wants is more feature requests...:

I tried switching to this from baggins, but two things drove me back immediately:

(1) I store 60+ soulshards before a raid, and have gotten very used to them being collapsed down by baggins and just given a total count

(2) new items being marked as "new". Otherwise, in a sorted bag, it's very hard for me to find the items someone just traded to me to hand to their alt, or what I got from the mail to DE for someone.

I'm having issues with items appearing in more than one bag, even if the second bag they show up in has a filter that explicitly says "don't show this type of item." Sometimes a reloadui fixes it, seems to happen a lot after just picking up an item, but other times its borked upon login.

Example - my totem "relics" show up in my Trinket bag (type: trinket, relic) and also in my Equpment bag (type:armor !relic !trinket, type:weapon !relic !trinket) despite the Equipment bag filter that should rule that out.

I believe that is what Antiarc referred to as "the tokenizer being completely borked on complex filters"

I like this mod but

I spent quite a bit of time yesterday trying to use Sanity Bags. The filtering is impressive, yet it is a lot of guesswork getting the right filters. For instance I wanted a bag with conjured food and mana crystals, and used conj in the name field, only to see just the food. When you hover over the filter field it does give you some useful suggestions.

Quest items are a bit strange. Some items like the crystals for the daily netherwing faction quest do not show up as quest items, yet that is their only purpose. So to get stuff like that to show up you have to start a long list of names in the filter field like

quest, name:crystal, etc

The problem is when you get to about 3 or 4 in the list, it ignores entries beyond this. So if you can't get the exact filter you want in a list of 3, you have to make another bag.

This is a problem when you want to do something like a bag of things you replenish from stores. So you put in reagents, and you maybe add shiny baubbles because if you do fishing it stuffs your fishing pole in the bag, then you have to specify by name aquadynamic fish attractors, and pretty soon you have hit your 3 filter limit and there is a load of stuff you want in that bag that you can't find a way to put in it.

Then at some point last night items from my conjured food bag startered showing up in my trash bag. So there would be 1xfood stack, 1xwater stack in the conjured bag, and extra stacks would show up in the trash bag. This sort of defeats the point of filtering by bags, which is to inventory specific item types.

I like how you can group bags and move clusters, but the process for degrouping a bag is not intuitive. As you move bags around the game will freeze, then the bag will show up in a completely different spot.

Also layout of the bags is an issue. Right now you can specify how many items per row up to 20. If you do 1 item per row, then the bag name and all the filter names truncate from the width. If you want to do one wide row of 21, you can not really do this since the limit is 20. What I was hoping to do is create bag bars that would expand as items of that catagory appeared, but right if you specify 20 slots, it will show all 20 empty slots...I am not sure how to only get it to show occupied slots.

I do like the filters and the whole concept, but at present it is too buggy to use and I have functionality reduced to just a single bag that I can manually type a sorting filter on (wish there was a pulldown for common filters like armor, consumable, reagent, potions and elixirs etc.

I'm pretty sure at this point development on Sanity Bags is on hold until Omen is a little more cooked. I am really excited about Sanity Bags though and I'm looking forward to when it gets some love.

Ark bugged out for me, I couldnt mouseover or move some items in my bank. Which caused me to switch.

I use baggins now. I like the "new item" feature, also you don't need to see it up at all. Just setting it straight to "All in one sorted" worked fine for my needs.

Not used sanity so i'll give it a go. I'm getting the impression that it might be more configerable.

At first I was in love with SanityBags, until some of the bugs with items showing in the wrong bags showed themselves =o. I also had issues with filtering, where all filter terms after the third seemed to be ignored.

Once the bugs are worked out I'll be using this full time, thanks a bunch Antiarc!

I think you could solve a lot of problems by just adding a refresh button.

Basically echoing everyone else, a great mod, the filtering is buggy - I'm not sure what the filter tokenizer being broken would cover, but it's certainly not consistent misclassification - e.g. i pick up a gem (tagged as Tradeskill) out of the consortium reward container, and it ends up in my Consumable bag (pt:Consumable, tag:Consumable) rather than Tradeskill (tag:Tradeskill), but a reloadui does fix it.

Tag any items that aren't quest items with Quest, then use type:quest, tag:Quest as a filter. If you don't have sanity2 you'll have to wait to be able to set tags though. Unfortunately tagging an item doesn't refresh bags and there's no way to manually do so short of editing the filter or reloading ui. Presumably this will eventually be automatic.

SanityItemCache: Know what else is awesome? Your tokenizer being able to handle strings of more than 2 tokens. :V
Should I take this to mean that the filters are working as intended now?

Antiarc are we going to see some love for this soon? I know you're busy with Threat, I'd just be happy if the tokenizer for filters worked properly

I'd say it's gotten some work done. Sanity2 recently started coughing up the proper info, and I noticed something that made me think that the ItemCache got fixed up a bit. The tokenizer has also started behaving differently. I think that the net amount of items in the wrong bags has changed, but it's a different set of items than it was last week.

See you, auntie.

I fell in love with Sanity Bags pretty quickly, but now it's bugging out on me.

My healing bag (something like tooltip:heal tooltip:!damage) refuses to populate. Making new bags with similar filters do the same - I can get healing and damage gear in there, but not any more specific.

The random issues with items appearing in the wrong bags can be fixed without a /reloadui, BTW - modify the filter. I usually hit space and then backspace, effectively diddling with it, and it usually behaves. Needing to do it to every bag witha filter, tho' >.>

As for doing a 'new' bag, would it be possible with Sanity2 to tag everything in your inv, as painful as it'd be, as 'old', and then set a filter to !old ?

Same thing - my Trash items and Quest items bags will not populate anymore. I have Consumables showing up in 2-3 different bags, and same for BOE armor items.

Yeah, I figured out the filter-changing also instead of reloading (which I didn't bother with).
Malan, those are the same items currently bugged for me.

Three bag mods:

ArkInventory
SanityBags
Baggins

Baggins annoyed the hell out of me after using OneBag and ArkInventory. It takes up far too much space and actually makes multiple bags. I want ONE bag, with partitions and sorting etc.
ArkInventory was extremely buggy and annoying, but did a lot right. SanityBags looked to be a better version of both.

But.... ArkInventory had a major update/bugfix last week. It is very good now. The filtering/sorting aren't quite as complicated as SanityBags but is more powerful. You just assign any item to any category you want if you don't like its default assignment.

Its two main weaknesses are:
Slightly larger memory use.
Difficult to get it to position each section or partition exactly how you want.

Personally, I felt a lot better about the compact slightly unoptimal layout of ArkInventory versus the wasted screen space and multiple bag annoyance of Baggins, and after some fiddling it did a better job of sorting than baggins anyways.

SanityBags might some day be the best, but I'm happy with Ark right now.

This was a huge issue for me. Still, I think that bag mods are something that we benefit from an abundance of. If you use Ark and I use Sanity, we won't notice any problems. Organization is a personal thing.

I'll echo what's been said here already in that the tokenizer is still borked. It works fine when you first set it up but after moving some items around it's pretty much broke.

I can't see myself moving to this full time without bank bags as well, having a nice sorted bag next to the default Blizz bank interface is pretty funny in a way though. I'm patient and understand Antiarc is working on Threat first. I'll just sit tight with OneBag until then as Baggins and ArkInventory just don't do it for me.
