Don't think you can. I simply decided I liked the default just fine, and didn't bother with anything else.

JIMs Cooldown Pulse is one of those mods that should be part of everyones addons folder. But nobody ever knows about it. Maybe it's because this mod can't really be screenshotted like fancy unit-frames or casting bars, as it's an animation and sound effect. Though once people see it in action they fall in love with it.

If you play a class that needs to pay attention to cooldowns while not being distracted from the on-screen action then this mod is required.

And yes, it works with 2.1, thought it hasn't been updated in a few months.

What if I want to see the skill in the entire time it's cooling down? Can cooldown pulse do that?

There's a Scrolling Combat Text Cooldowns out there somewhere that simply puts your finished cooldowns in your messages (I think that's where at least). I haven't been able to find it on the interwebs, but the ages old version I have is still fully functional. If you're dying to try it out PM me and I'll pack and send it

I have a problem whenever I use cooldowntimers2. Seems like my spells such as fire blasts, never show up on the cooldown. Do I have to set some kind of max time setting or something?

I had the same "problem", which just stems from the fact that CooldownTimers2 has a default max time of 2 minutes, so if your spells take longer than that to cool down, you're "out of luck". You can change that in the settings though.

cooldown timers 2 is great except for the fact that it bugs out if you equip several items with cooldowns in the same slot. for example, I am a feral druid and I use moroes' lucky pocket watch to tank. I equip it and it triggers a 30-second cooldown in CDT2. when I USE the trinket, it triggers the same 30-second cooldown. however, if I load into the game with it equipped or reload my UI, it will work as intended and show it as a 2min cd, but if I switch to dps gear including an ap trinket, the same bug occurs. assuming that gets fixed, this would be the perfect cooldown timer mod.

coolDown used to be great, but it seems to have been abandoned and therefore this issue with 10 of the same cooldown on your screen basically makes the mod dead to me.

hourglass looked great out of the package, but it has a similar problem as coolDown in that it doesn't refresh cooldowns after you enter an arena. I was staring at a usable dash while hourglass told me it was on a 3min cd.

cooling looks like it could be what I'm looking for, assuming it, too, doesn't have these same bugs.

Bag, cooling is just like cooldownhud if you remember Saien's mod. It doesn't bug out with multiple trinkets and you can have it display messages to SCT/MSBT with sound with a little editing. The only bug I've encountered is that when you swap in two new trinkets that both activate the 30s cd, sometimes it will only register one of them as on cd for that duration. Also, if you use omnicc, it will display the numbers on the cooling icons (or you can use its built in digital display).

Is there any way with JIMs to set different sounds to different abilities? I would absolutely love to hear "shield block you nub" or "revenge > sunder, idiot" noises while tanking on my Warrior. The amount of tiny cooldowns to juggle is mind-boggling. I don't have my main bar shown on any other character but on my Warrior I'm finding it hard to tank well without being able to see the spinnies.

I've done a remake of oCD/CooldownTimers2 which is a bit lighter and uses even less libs.

I've found OmniCC to be good. It shows your cooldowns on your abilities, but another nice thing worth mentioning is that you can set it to pulse. So when your trinket or ability is ready, the actual button will get a lot bigger for a second and it makes it easy to notice.

if you could get that to interface well with arenas and add scaling, I'd be sold, I think

It detects the Arena Preparation buff and thus resets all your <= 10 minute cooldowns and it detects spells that reset cooldowns like Preparation etc.

As for scaling you can hack that with a one-liner, (there's a post in that thread)
