Would it be possible to get the DS light modified so it'll catch Demoralizing Roar as well? I realize it's inferior, and yes, if wishes were horses, I'd have a calvary and DS everywhere I go, but it isn't so. If the indicator was |red|DS // |green|Dr // |green|DS ... quick, at a glance, and the lower case helps prioritize it.

I'm sorry but it isn't so possible to do now, simply because the code has been updated to make everything run through the same function (meaning replacing DS for DR would be a pain!), however it is much more optimized
--
For those looking for a little info and a screenshot of the newest version:
It shows you what are considered to be valuable raid debuffs on both your focus target and regular target. This frame is only shown under the following conditions:
- You are in a raid group.
- You have either a target or a focus target.
-- Your target or focus target is not a player.
A little screenshot:
It should work for any locale, but the locales for the shorthands (CoE etc) need to be updated for other clients.

Used this for my guild's first Gruul kill tonight, I found it much easier to check this list than scan my growing list of Debuff Filter icons. I'd second the request to get Scorpid Sting added to the list, after scanning the code I can see how it would be hard to track Demo Roar or Curse of Weakness instead of Demo Shout, I guess it's time to crack the whip and get my Warriors to take the talent (and then keep the debuff up).

Just popping in to thank you again for this mod. It's exactly what I had envisioned, and it's really, really useful. I couldn't have possibly imagined how often important debuffs dropped off important mobs until I could view it this way.

We couldn't have imagined how often you'd be calling on vent for debuffs.

Ha. I'm going to give this a try. I've been using Debuff Filter to monitor tank debuffs, and I'm sure our dps warrior debuff bitch dreams about me. Hopefully I can get the locks dreaming about me too. Thanks for the work on the mod.

Thanks for the mod, I love it.
I have only one little request/feature that shouldn't be hard to add. Can you make it so that right/left/whatever clicking the mob gives out announcement in /ra or /rw?

I can't tear myself away from NECB for this purpose. the memory usage spikes very high, but garbage collection completely cleans it up, and it's the only mod I've ever used that completely accurately tracks applied debuffs from all sources.

'Debuffs from all sources' wasnt the goal for this addon to start with. We didnt want to see imp sorch, shadow weaving, ..., we just wanted to see the 'important' debuffs in terms of mitigation and curses.
For that purpose, this addon is simply perfection.

Latest version of the UI is great, I'm sure my raid will enjoy hearing me call for debuffs on both my current target and my focus. I've used NECB and Debuff Filter, but this is hands-down the easiest method of tracking important debuffs I've found.

I make us of the new "Elkano BuffBars" - > http://files.wowace.com/ElkBuffBars/ - which now makes you able to split buffs/debuffs and sort them any way you like. Even what buffs/debuffs the target has. So I have split my buffs/debuffs into separate areas - and I have my haste effects and my dots on the target right under my character - So I always can keep track of my dot timers etc.
You should try the elkanobuffbar_s_ ( new one ) really works great.

I must be missing something. I tried this in Kara last night, set a boss as my focus target and... saw nothing. I suppose it's possible that the frame is buried under some part of my UI, is there a command to centre the frame or otherwise make it visible?

I'm stupid. I've downloaded pDebuffList, but am not sure how to activate it. What's the slash command to fiddle with the options?

Did either of you get any errors at all?
I haven't changed anything with the addon recently and like I said above you need to be in a raid group and either focus something or target it to work.
There is no slash command, it should just work.

Just an update:
Since Demoralizing Shout, Curse of Weakness or Demoralizing Roar don't stack; whichever is currently active will take place in the usual Demoralizing Shout field (of course it will update to say CoW, DR or DS etc )
Cheers

I looked at the code because I wanted to add support for Judgment of Wisdom. It seems pretty straightforward, but I think I detected a bug in the support for demo shout/roar/weakness. I'm at work now so I can't test this but... Here's the array setup:
local optDebuffs = {
[BS["Faerie Fire"]] = BS["Faerie Fire (Feral)"],
[BS["Demoralizing Shout"]] = BS["Curse of Weakness"],
[BS["Demoralizing Shout"]] = BS["Demoralizing Roar"],
}
This essentially tries to setup an array with two entries for the same key (but different values). I'm not sure what lua will do in this case-- if it takes the first or the last entry-- but you definitely won't get two entries. Otherwise this block of code wouldn't work:
optdebuff = optDebuffs[debuff]
self:UpdateDebuff("target", debuff, optdebuff)
self:UpdateDebuff("focus", debuff, optdebuff)
The function takes in a single argument, so the array access must only have one value as well, so it can't be both curse of weakness and demoralizing roar.
If the code needs to handle multiple level of optional debuffs, the easiest way to structure it would be replacing each debuff with a list, and then you write code to successively check each list entry. For example, your debuff lists might be...
(Curse of Elements)
(Curse of Shadows)
(Thunder Clap)
(Sunder Armor)
(Demoralizing Shout, Curse of Weakness, Demoralizing Roar)
(Faerie Fire, Faerie Fire (Feral))
...
Most entries would be coded as a list with just one item in them.
At any rate, thanks for the mod. It's extremely useful.

Hmm yes you could be right, I have not tested it with CoW because I didn't have a warlock online at the time of the commit.
It most definately does work with Demoralizing Roar... if someone could test it with Curse of Weakness it would be great
Cheers

Haven't tested it yet, looks promising.
If not implemented yet, could the debuffs made "clickable", so when clicked,
a raid message appears "REFRESH CoE SLACKING WARLOCKS!!!"

It should be fixed now for sure, if it was even broken in the first place
I'm still in 2 minds to add the clicking thing, if you have any Ace2 addons installed this should be quite efficient and I don't really like to have addons filled up with fluff.
I could always look into making a pDebuffList2 already, with extra fluff

OT to the specific mod being discussed, but on the topic of Debuffs in general, does anyone know of a mod that can provide a very simple Count of current debuffs on the target, so people could know if putting up another DoT/Curse/whatever, is going to push something off?

Hello,
I just downloaded this addon and even though I have met the criteria and am in a raid.... There is no target box.
I disabled all of my addons and reloaded the client but still no go.
I even zoned into SSC to be sure the criteria were met.

Is it installed correctly, I guess you've made sure it's in the addons screen?
Are you getting any errors at all? Make sure you have enabled 'Display Lua Errors' in the interface options, there could be some bug you are encountering.
