I've seen multiple raid instance boss movies, and the raid leader has been able to move people throughout raid groups, my guild hasnt been able to move people since before mid naxx.

Is there a mod or certain settings that you have to have, to be able to do this?

It is infact a mod that is NOT allowing you to do this. Blizzard implemented a system where mods can "taint" actions--i.e. they can affect a system such as the raid panel. It's to prevent people from writing mods that would automatically move people in the raid, since you're supposed to do that manually. The trick is finding which mod is preventing you from doing it.

CTraid has been preventing me from doing this, I switched to oRA2 and had no problems.

And this is no easy feat either - a mod that has *nothing* to do with raid frames could be what's screwing it up, and often times Blizzard's error reporter will report an incorrect mod. Mod A will taint the raid frame, much later Mod B will try to do something legit with the raid frame, but its been tainted so the error popup tells you that Mod B is making trouble and should be disabled.

One mod that seems to have messed around with some other frames in my own pre-2.1 UI was MoveAnything. Since I switched to Visor even Outfitter can re-equip my offhand after evocation.

So if you want to track down the offending mod, look at anything that even remotely has any effect on frames.

A related question, is it (normally) possible for a non raid leader to select (target) people using the raid frame?
I remember I was able to do so before patch 2.0, but currently clicking on the names on the raid windows does nothing.

If this is standard behaviour, is there an addon that does so?

That was removed in 2.0 due to that it was making the raid frame incredibly easy to break.

Ah. Does somebody know of an addon then that removes all these "fancy" new features like blizzard raidframes etc. and just lets me target people via the raid window again?
