New LightHeaded available, now shows more quest information than ever

I've just done a huge update to LightHeaded, you can download it at http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ghtHeaded.html. Here are the release notes

LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

The addon I use to make my quest log wide, is called DoubleWide, and you can download it here at http://www.wowinterface.com/download...oubleWide.html. LightHeaded should work with any quest log that uses QuestLogFrame.

I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons. This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.

If you are upgrading LightHeaded instead of installing it for the first time, please make sure you delete all the LightHeaded* folders from your addon directory. The structure and distribution have changed drastically.

When you install LightHeaded, ensure you have all of the following folders installed in your AddOns directory. None of this data will be loaded until it is needed, so there is no reason to delete any of these directories:

LightHeaded: The main addon
LightHeaded_NPC_Data: Contains NPC location information
LightHeaded_A20_Data: Contains Alliance data from levels 1 - 20
LightHeaded_H20_Data: Contains Horde data from levels 1 - 20
LightHeaded_A40_Data: Contains Alliance data from levels 21 - 40
LightHeaded_H40_Data: Contains Horde data from levels 21 - 40
LightHeaded_A60_Data: Contains Alliance data from levels 41 - 60
LightHeaded_H60_Data: Contains Horde data from levels 41 - 60
LightHeaded_A80_Data: Contains Alliance data from levels 61 - 80
LightHeaded_H80_Data: Contains Horde data from levels 61 - 80

I've gone through a signifigant revamp of LightHeaded, and added a number of features:

* The UI has been completely revamped and allows you to flip pages rather than scroll in one long list
* The UI can be hidden when you're not using it, it collapses down to a simple nub on your combat log
* Basic quest information from wowhead is included, like experience and reputation gain
* On the quest overview screen, the quest id can be clicked to insert a WoWHead URL into your edit box
* Start and End NPC information is included, and you can click on those links to display coordinate informatino for those NPCs
* All coordinates should be clickable to add to TomTom or Cartographer_Waypoints if available

I removed a few features during the revamp, if you find something missing, feel free to request it. I now consider LightHeaded to be release quality software, and will provide regular support for comment updates, etc.

IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
owe them at least that much. Thank you.

Thanks for using my addons!

I use questFu (I believe that's the name) as my default quest tracker/frame, does this addon work with it? It sounds very useful.

Also, when it adds waypoints to Cartographer does it leave them there or do some cleanup? I'm using the waypoint sharing with my guild and would rather not have 12 waypoints stacked on top of each other if people are using this.

(With the last version at least, haven't gotten a chance to try this one)

I use monkeyquest and it wouldn't show me the information in the monkey quests version of a questlog but if I opened my regular quest log and clicked on quests it showed me the information there. Which is still a 100 times easier than alt tabbing.

Also I didn't know about TomTom but I don't see anything on the description that says Cartographer so I'm not sure that it even interacts with that.

Show me on the paper doll where the devs nerfed you.

Kemayo will be coding the support for it very soon, I got him the new API last night. As for Cartographer, I don't do anything other than pass the waypoints. I would suggest using TomTom, where you can easily remove waypoints, and they are auto-cleared when you reach those coordinates.

The author of monkeyquest can contact me, or use the API to provide support for LightHeaded. I just simply provide my own frame to display the data.

Cart_Waypoints also auto clears on arriving at destination and its a simple r-click > remove on the on screen arrow to clear a waypoint you no longer want.

Thank you for adding this feature though

Yes, but if you are syncing waypoints with guild members and have a mod that's auto-adding you can end up with the same waypoint stacked multiple times. It's very annoying. We had one guild member that had a corpse waypoint mod that added skulls everywhere he died that was synced out. I just don't want to have to clean up after the mod if other people are using it as well.

And the OP said there was cartographer support, which was what sparked my concern.

Edit2: Does the TomTom addon conflict with Cartographer in any way?

No, its just specifically Cart_Waypoints, and nothing automatic happens.. it should just work the same as if you had type /way x y.
