My Recount is now regularly balooning to 8-10 MB RAM use without heavy combat (i.e. standing around Orgrimmar ungrouped) where it was very slim before. Is something wrong on my end?
- make the data in the main window selectable based on a specific fight (like you can do with graphs)
- when looking at the detail window of your abilities...make it so that you can click on an ability, which makes the details of that ability stay shown in the window below so you could report only that
- maybe an avg dps line in the graph section, but that's not really that important
On a sidenote, I've now replaced SW Stats with this. Cheers

Mine was never really slim except for when I first installed it. It started at about 2MB and quickly shot up to 12 and then 16-20 in raids. I think I have to turn down some of the options but I didn't know how (shift+click apparently) until I read the last few posts in this thread just now.

I don't think unticking the options on the graph screen will make Recount stop collecting that data. You can set which data Recount collects on the options screen though.
Magnificent. It is obvious that this was created as a labor of love by a hardcore analyst.
I like to run it when I have something specific I want to investigate, but not all the time due to the huge amount of memory it dregs up. It would be nice if we could somehow set a cap for how much memory it consumes, after which it starts sloughing off old data...
Results differ from the three sources, which one to thrust? I would say WWS by default, but i find it weird that even for my results, i'm 200K healing lower on recount...
For my healing:
Recount:1 268K
SWS:1 275K
WWS:1 469K
If you look at damage, our Spriest (Ozureogami) is way too low in recount, compared to SWS and WWS...
That could be an issue with the French client, in that not all strings get interpreted entirely properly by ParserLib, while WWS and SWS have some special checks built-in depending on the locale a client is running in.
I know my Recount matches perfectly with the numbers SWS provides to guild members from testing on a number of different encounters, but I'm running the English client.
Awesome mod -- we've been loving this thing in our raids as of late.
Two questions --
Is there a way to overlay graphs of multiple tabs on top of each other? I was interested in looking at the damage taken by the tank, and then laying out all the incoming healing graphs on top of it to see who was on top of their game for handling each spikes (or rather, more importantly, who wasn't). If it's not supported, I'll happily suggest it, as being able to correlate the data, would be awesome in my opinion.
Also, perhaps I'm terrible at searching, but I could not find a good explanation of the Y-Axis in any of the graphs. My current understanding is that it's some relative, arbitrary number for comparison purposes in magnitude (unless Gruul really is autoattacking for 3k ...) -- I don't feel confident that this is the right understanding. Any clarification would be really nice (and maybe adding an explanation of the Y-Axis to the front-page manual?).

He really hits that hard.
"Basic Melee: 3-3.5k at the start of the fight, on tanks. " + Growth Bonus
Well, if we want more information on the Gruul example I was posting: I was seeing something like 800s at the beginning, and then 3000+s at 13~'ish growths, so I don't think the Y-axis is an absolute magnitude of the actual damage being done. If it is, then I must have something configured all wrong (I only play with in the default graph mode, and in the Integrated graph mode, I don't play around much with stack and normalized).
Furthermore, if I added other people to the specific graph, the scale changed and the values didn't correspond exactly like they did before. So, I'm stumped.
Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. Per Second values and not raw magnitude, it was even subtly hidden in the manual =)
Been a little busy lately will go through later on all the comments.

Something, seems to have changed I'm trying to figure out what. But, some guildies were reporting the issue as well.
I've been giving a try at recount, and, after installing rev42705 i've been getting a heck of a load of errors basically, anything i do to recount window gives me an error except the close button
My Ace setup (i only use ace addons) is done using all ace libraries loaded along with the addons requiring them, so that i can update within wowaceupdate without externals, this is don only to ensure my libraries are always the lates and eventually i don't get any outdated library with an addon when i update it with externals.
Up till now (Recount) i've been having no problem and a flawless system.
Was checking Recount Library dependencies and i have them all installed and loaded.
Then i tried to test Recount WITH externals, which seems to be working properly, i couldn't find yet what's the problem since all my errors are random (not directed toward a specific addon/library)
I'll try to investigate further reporting any findings.
For some reasons, I totally don't get any information from recount. The frame is there, but when I dps something, or something happens at all, no information or bar with my name shows up.
Am I missing dependancies? Is one of my addons interfering?
I like to create a button on my keyboard to show/hide the window. It would be awesome if you could add an option to the keybinds window to show/hide Recount.
Until then, I can do this manually through making a macro: I can show it fine ("/recount show") but there's no option to close it. Could anybody tell me the script command that I need to type to close the window?

I had this problem earlier in the thread. I fixed it by deleting the mod folders I was no longer using, and being sure all the others were up to date. This includes disabled mods.
I was soloing in Skettis and ran a Shadow Labs on my hunter alt and in that quick hour and a half it was already taking up 13mb of memory, which is already twice as much as sw stats takes up even with a full unnuked history.
...
Summary, nice app, crazy resource hog. :'(
Yeah, I'm working on memory improvements and have implemented a ton of new ones today.

Hmmm, unfortunately not much I can do for fixing those things easily its more of a parsing library issue. As soon as Parser-3.0 has a fix in for SW Fix Log Strings I probably will convert over to that which might fix it better.

Yeah, I want to add something of the sort just having to think of a good way to show it

See how memory usage is now I think I've got it fixed up nicely now

>_> whoops at not having a /recount hide going to add that in now. I will work on later adding minimap icon & fubar plugin.

Sounds like my fault, I'm going to check that out.
Just thought I'd discuss something I saw during a raid today. All the Damage Done bars were a blueish color - not the class color. I can't show you a screenshot as I reset and closed before I thought about posting about it (hurf durf) but I can't seem to figure out if it's an option I've missed somewhere or a bar-color bug similar to what Omen had a while ago.
I have the latest version (as of a few minutes ago) - what could be causing this?

Happens when sometimes it classifies wrongly what someone is to being pets (I think you are discussing the pet color)
I've seen it happen like once but it normally fixes itself fairly fast.
edit; If you know how you can replicate the situation would help being able to fix it from occurring though.

To clarify, it was player bars that were incorrect colors (warrior bars being the blueish, rogue bars being the blueish).
I didn't do anything specific to trigger the situation - I installed the addon and then I raided. I'll see if I can find out some more information on the next raid for you.
