Also could you add partial resistances info there, if it's not already in. I'm at work now, so just confirm if it's in, or say if it's not

You can't change the color (yet) but you can resize it by dragging the bottom right corner

I assume that it's possible to flag in-combat only recording, and I'm just blind :p

If not, can we have that too? (currently it'll define one fight as "over", then add any OOC healing etc into the next fight, distorting the stats).

You can check the File option (just next to the reset button on the left) and set it to current fight or last fight ;p

I seem to be unable to turn off data collection when UnGrouped from the Config options. I uncheck the box, hit Save, close the options, and when I open them again the setting reverts back to the default of being checked.

Have you tried deleting the config file in WoWPath\wtf?

I remember some people having trouble with either Recount or Omen regarding settings not saving a bit back so I figured it might be a worthwhile suggestion.

I am not your personal Frost Deathknight knowledge base. If you have a simple question, ask in the simple questions thread; if you have a more esoteric, specific, or complicated question, ask in the spec-appropriate thread.

My PM, WoWmail, and, especially, chat boxes are NOT the appropriate places for these questions.

Got 2 errors while idling in IF. These errors persisted as in they wouldn't go away.

Could Recount be trying to log a duel happening around me or something like that causing the error? I was ungrouped and Recount was empty/reset. No data was showing up.

Updating Recount had no effect.

Strange, in that case it seems to be trying to display data for an imaginary person (not possible as far as I can figure out but must be some way). So if someone can figure out how to replicate this bug would be of great help.

I need to do something useless.

I got this bug about 5 times yesterday in SSC. Nuking the data, as well as reloading my UI didn't fix it. I had to delete the recount.lua in WTF and then restart WoW to get Recount working again.

Is there more information I can try and gather when it happens again? Or just try and figure out what may be happening at the time. Off the top of my head, it seemed to happen to me most right after a wipe.

Well you can't really delete/garbage collect since I can't save vars to a file then delete them. What I can do is compress the data for reading later.

Epeen is important

I hope you understand why pure dps classes like SW so much...its all about the epeen =/ To tell you the truth, in some ways its good to have an exact number of dmg for everyone in the raid, it creates competition and with that come more raid dps. If i know that I am just 15,000 dmg away from #1 on a boss fight I will push that extra bit to get to #1. Its stupid, I know, but the truth is that that is 95% of what the pure dps classes care about. If we are all trying to be #1 on the charts then all of us are creating more DPS, and in turn helping the raid. This does not mean that your mod is not great...but for it to give the most accurate picture of a raid it needs to be correct on the total amount of dmg done for every raid member, and display that information to each member of the raid. I guess we could all just report our total dmg and compare but that is kinda a waist of time.

SWS also shows what skills they used, but what it doesn't show are misses or resists iirc so it doesn't show if someone is lacking +hit gear for example.

And indeed the primary need for a dmgmeter is to see that ppl are doing what their gear should enable them to do. a DPS class in a raid that doesn't do DPS is a wasted raid slot.
