I'm looking for a mod but don't really know whenever it exists... basically, I want something that track the cooldown of a selected set of items (potions, dark/demonic runes, night dragon's breath, drums of battle) and give me some kind of flashy warning (like a SCT text, a message in my chat, anything).
The tricky part is that I dont want a message when the item is ready. I want a message if it will be ready when my next action will be usable. For example, I want to be able to know, while casting a shadowbolt, that I will be able to drink a potion before casting the next one. As the cast time of my bolts is not "round" (due to my haste rating, etc) it became more and more hard to anticipate those kind of things with precision.

Wouldn't it be reasonable if Blizzard did make stances detectable?
I mean, you can see which types of armor a mage has, which types of armor a warlock has, which aspects a hunter is in, you can SEE which forms a druid is in etc.
Warrior stances pretty much function the same way, in that you use different stances in different situations when you need to get different things done, skills activated, etc.
I think I'll probably make this a suggestion on the WoW forums =P
Thanks for the responses guys. Greatly appreciated.

At the risk of being yelled at for not reading all 112pages of this beast of a thread closely enough, here goes.
In Sk Gamings recorded kill of Kiljaden on wowmovies(videos) W/e. One of the perspectives has a realtime graphical raid wide dps meter just to the right of center on the lower part of the screen. Does anybody know what its is?

Right click on the chat tab -> Unlock Window. Then click and drag the corner of the panel to scale it. Relock afterwards if you don't want to accidentally mess with it later.

I'd say DoTimer with really small bars, but with a picture as small as this it's hard to be sure...

a hard to find mod
Can anyone help me find the mod that the Enh Shaman is using in this video?
SK Gaming vs Kil'Jaeden World First By Bluerose
It's the SK wow world 1st kill on Kil'Jaeden. The mod is definately a cooldowntimer and consists of two colored bars of variable length. It's located in the upper right part of the screen at half distance between the middle and the corner of the screen.
It's not <Forte Cooldown> as it's made of 2 bars whereas forte uses only one bar. And since i'm at it, is there any way to make forte display tow cooldown bars? (one to trach short cooldowns and one to track longer ones)
Also guys i tried to take screenshots of it to make this easyer but i lack the expertise and the software to do it. i only have mspaint and every printscreen i try results in a pink picture after i save it. (tried every compression format on multiple computers)
Thanks.

That would be DisqoDice, a shaman mod that measures stormstrike/wf/shocks cooldown as well as providing visual aid for windfury weapon/grace of air totem twisting (the upper bar that changes color to white).
Hope I understood which addon you were referring to.

I've been leveling a Shaman alt and I started using DQD recently. It still works, though I don't know if it still will in 2.5/2.6/the future in general.

I'm trying to figure out how you set up and skin the UI like that so each part has those really nice fading lines.
Also, I'm using eavesdrop and I'd like to switch back to something similar to simple combat log. Is there a replacement for that mod now with the changes to the default blizzard combat log?

You can do that with kgPanels.

The other day I was reconfiguring some mods and happened to disable Pitbull for whatever reason. This left me with the default unit frames and you know what, I really like them. There are a few things that Pitbull has spoiled me on though, and I was wondering if there was a mod that does all of the following to the default unit frames:
-Allow movement
-Custom health/mana
-Buff filtering or hiding
-Combat fading (or adjustable transparency based on target/combat status)
I think that, if I could find a nice lightweight mod that did the above, I would probably switch. I have used mods that did some of them, but not all:
CT_Unitframes (movement, limited health/mana text customization)
Archaologist (health/mana text customization)
MoveAnything (movement)
Any suggestions?

I'm looking for the following things:
- a Buff-frame mod that will place the timers (00:45 or 45s or 3m, etc) inside the icons. If it works with ButtonFacade, that'd be great as well!
- A replacement for Autobar that isn't so clunky. Mostly to have a couple of buttons, one showing my trinkets, one showing food/water, and one showing mana pots.
- A minimap mod that allows me to place any kind of 'mask' over the shape of the minimap (square, end-table, etc). I currently use Squeenix and it only has a couple of options for this - I'd really like to be able to customise the shape myself.
- There's an addon I've seen that hooks into an item tooltip and offers calculated stats derived from the item's base stats (eg the item say 22 Spell Crit and it's shown as (X% at 70), as well as a comparison of that item and what you're currently wearing (eg +17 healing, -2 sta). The one thing I remember about it is that it had a capital sigma (Σ) before the comparison section of the item tooltip.
