The default texture for fubar is ugly as sin. Just replace background.tga with another texture (If you need one that looks good I have a brushed one that is similar to titans).
Another thing to know is that fubar has no plugins by default (you'll just get an empty bar). WowAce downloads should have most, if not all, of the plugins you'll ever need. They're all prefixed with "FuBar_" so look in the F's for them.

Or as a lot of use do, you can make FuBar totally transparent and just leave the icons "floating". If you unhook fuBar from the screen frame you can resize and reposition as you see if as well. I like to stick an eePanel behind mine for some nice effects.

Screenshot of my ui (fubar is sitting on the top and bottom) I've always really liked that texture myself :P
(UI is a lot less cluttered than it looks, I run on a 21in LCD)

In a couple of threads, Manly has mentioned a mod called Proctracker. Obviously, it tracks how often certain abilities proc and reports the data. Unfortunately, it has been deleted from Curse and I cannot find another download location. Is it still publicly available anywhere? I tried the usual suspects (WoWAce, WoW Interface, WorldofWar and Google).
I did find ProcWatch, but based on the comments on Curse, it's a poor replacement for Proctracker.

You can also pick up FuTextures from WowAce for a pack of 19 or so background textures. What I've found I like to do is set the background completely transparent, and then put XPBarNone (WowAce) behind FuBar (Set XPBarNone's strata to the lowest possible). Essentially my FuBar background 'fills' as I gain experience or reputation.

I have some addon that whispers the message "I am bandaging. Save your mana" or somesuch to any raid healer that even so much as targets me. In combat or out. It only whispers to healing classes.
It may be coincidental but an awful lot of those healers commented how their ping times were jumping up by a few seconds and it usually seemed to be right after targetting me for a heal.
What addon is this? or how do I get rid of that message. Anyone know?

It's quite easy to find out by doing this, I assume you are running Windows XP or Vista;
1. click start -> run -> cmd -> ok
2. cd Program Files\world of warcraft\Interface\AddOns
(or wherever your wow addons directory is)
3. findstr /i /s /c:"bandaging" *.lua
You should now see which file (addon) includes the bandaging text and can uninstall the addon.

I have 2 (newbie) questions:
- where does the data come from in Praetorian's post? (with the specific time and everything)
- I'm looking for something that I assumed was simple, but apparently isn't: I want a way to dump a combat log in a text file, with precise time as in the example above, and as precise information as possible. If it could include all the info for my raid group it would be even better. I know that WSS does something like that, but since somebody else in my guild is taking the WSS dumps, I never got to see one. I alway see the parsed info on lorendil.

That's from a combat log that's been parsed with WoW Web Stats (WWS). You can look at the exact combat log on there. From any WWS go to Browse -> Browse Log File.
Example: Wow Web Stats
To get the log dumps use /combatlog
use once to start recording, use again to stop. Exit wow there should be a file named WoWCombatLog.txt in your /logs folder.
It will be VERY convoluted (for the time being, getting fixed in 2.4 iirc) then you need to just parse it using WWS or something similar.
Note that the log file is cumulative (ie it persists through sessions and just adds onto the end of it) so if you want a clean log each time remember to delete it. It's also impossible to edit or delete the file while wow is running.

I never realized that the full combat log was on the web parse as well. /stupid
Actually the only thing I'm missing is the hp/mana/energy/rage values for each player when there is an entry in the combat log. That would really be awesome. I will check if Recount can do that.

That would be REALLY intensive to run... Every combat message (there are hundreds a second in a raid) storing everyone's health and mana values would be storing 50 pieces of information per event in the log, and that's some serious bloat >_<

Dmg Meter that includes totems?
I imagine this has been addressed before but I am having little success finding an answer (that I fully understand) using the search.
I *think* that I read in the recount thread that its not possible to track shaman fire totems or shaman pets w/ a damage meter, is this completely true or is there anything that comes close to being accurate in this department? Thanks
Any suggestions?

Looking for a mod that can track Heroism and possibly Mana tide cooldowns for shamans in my raid. Not sure if oRA2 can do this with it's cooldown monitor but from my expierience in the past with it's cooldown monitor is that it's very inaccurate with things like Soulstones and Battle rez's, so preferably something different.

As far as I can tell Recount only stores the health value when somebody has died.

I use Natur's Enemy Castbar for that... The downside being that you need to target the person to see if their CDs are up or not, and that support is being dropped for it come next patch.

I remember hearing something of the sort as well, I think they said it had something to do with elementals from totems being the totem's minion rather than the shaman's, which makes them completely ambiguous once more than one is in play. Though this is just what I remember from what I read, and could very well be wrong.
