Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this in, but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm in the process of re-doing my UI. But, I think almost everything out there is so bland! I really want to try something different this time...looks wise. I want something really vibrant/pretty/cute.
So, my question is: can anybody give me the names of any mods that have a lot of visual/colour customization or ones that have cute images included? I've tried a couple that have different kinds of borders with leaves and whatnot, but they never seem to work properly =*(
Anyhow, any help is appreciated! Thanks =)

Starting another try, is there some mod that lets you target a player via the social (raid) tab?
I hate having to to /tar playername to only select them.

You can select by a raid frame like Grid or with the basic wow raid frame (drag'n'drop group/class from the raid panel).

ErrorMonster should be what you're looking for.

Yes, and that's exactly what I don't want. I'm a melee and have no need to view each and every player in the raid.
I just want to simply click or rightclick, or shiftclick, whatever) on a player in the raid tab and select him (be it for porting, for whispering, or for raid marks).

Its not possible since changes that allowed to move players in groups in combat. Use grid or perfect raid.

Looking for the mod that played a sound (and also announced in combat text) anytime you procced an extra attack (Thrash, Sword Spec, etc.). The sound used was the same as the Rogue Sprint sound.

Not sure about the sound, but the announcement can be done fairly easily through Scrolling Combat Text.

Also you can add sound yourself to a specific event by editing the sct_event_config.lua !
Just open that file and you find a desciption how to manage it.

Didn't the Trash Blade proc play that sound by itself?
Or maybe not, quite some time ago.

Yes, the 'trash' blade proc did have the sprint sound.
The idea just came to me, and I'm not sure I've seen it in any UI. Are there any unit frame addons that will allow you to modify the locations of the frames for individual party members? (All of the ones I've used move all 4 together, either stacked vertically or horizontally.) Or a unit frames addon that will have the 4 party fromes arranged in somewhat of a rectangular pattern (2 rows 2 columns)?
|
Pitbull can split them apart if memory serves.
|
Hmm. I seem to remember pitbull moving all 4 together. I'll have to double check that.

I'm wondering if there's an addon that allows me to see the incoming damage/heal of people in the group/raid (various abilities gained/lost as well)? I play a healer from time to time, and sometimes I want to know why such and such dies.
I know X-Perl has this (called GrimReaper), but I'm already setup with Pitbull, and don't want to fudge with new unit frames. Looking at the source, this module also appears custom made.
Any chance someone has a lead on something similar I could use?

I saw this referenced in the Raid Leading MOD's & Addon's
Expiration seems to be what I want. Seems to be no UI, and only console commands. I've yet to test it in a raid (between guilds atm), so not sure how it performs there. But solo testing seems to indicate it's a "pure" snippet of the last X events in the combatlog.

There used to be a tetris mod but for some reason it was never updated and it hasn't worked in months. Kinda silly, but is there an updated version somewhere? That would be really cool if there was

Now that I've read all 22 pages of this post...
Does anyone know of a mod that will alert me when my shackle has broken? I currently use a macro to cast shackle on my focus target for Kara mobs, but the best I have is the timer of my Shackle on my focus target frame. I find myself just positioning the camera to where I can watch the mob and raid frames at the same time, but I'd like some sort of warning to pop up across the screen to I can just mash my macro and not have to worry about watching the mob as closely.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions to make my life easier! :)

2 minutes on Curse using the word "shackle"
UberShackle | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com
WoWInterface Downloads : ShackleWatch is another one.
I have a priest, but I personally use SpellWatch for a generic timer countdown, and then I just watch the debuff of my focus. I used the same for sheeping on my mage, and I try to use generic tools where possible since I play alot of classes.

I searched Curse before and for some reason didn't get UberShackle. That seems to be what I'm looking for. ShackleWatch is only a timer it seems and doesn't have the notification I was looking for in UberShackle. I'll be testing out this mod tonight, thanks.

I play a Draenei shaman, and am wondering whether the point into elemental precision would be worth it for Arena PvP. As such, I was told by a friend to look for a mod that could calculate the number or resists I received for the numbers of spells I cast. If anyone has any information about such a mod, I would very much appreciate it.

Well something like Recount would do nicely and swstats should do well too, find alot of lvl 70 mobs, and go and just plain dps them how ever which way you would. Both mods should beable to give you your hit% etc. Though I dont know if this is exactly what you wanted, its a start.
