What's the cause to stop using ItemRack? Coded well enough that it still works without a patch in 6 months.

Personally, I found that the transition to and from my mount trinket was very unreliable. Maybe 20% of the time when was mounted my trinket wasn't equipped, and when I was unmounted (and typically in the middle of a fight) my trinket WAS equipped. I got tired of having to constantly check to make sure my damage trinkets were equipped all the time.
I have had this issue quite infrequently with Outfitter - maybe on the order of once a week versus a number of times daily with ItemRack.

Okay, fair enough. Some of the more creative stuff I don't really use that often. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a bad "this mod's out of date!" reason to drop it.

Being able to alt over character sheet slots the way itemrack handles it is pretty invaluable to me. outfitter is good, but really it's just preference.

ClosetGnome is just too damn annoying in the way it handles set editing. You can't actually edit a set, you have to redefine it every time.
|
Vyktianity already has over 75 billion followers. The first verse in his book "Gift of the Wild" is "In the beginning Vyk cast lifebloom and then maul."

That would work, but beware clicking in that general transparent area!

Shift+ Click the set name on the fubar tooltip opens that set for adjustment and editing.

I think I'm almost looking more for a suggestion of a mod rather then a particular one. I'm looking for a quest tracking mod, one that works almost like the default blizzard one because I'd really like it to just dispear or be less intrusive when I'm not questing, but also pop up with objectives etc when I start working on a quest. I tried nQuestlog out yesterday and it seemed okay but I had to do to much work with it to get displays(some quests would pop up on their own others wouldn't and I had to manually tab them open in the display).

That wouldn't, by any chance, consolidate all of the icons into 1 would it?

Unless I'm misreading, since you like the Blizzard UI, you can turn on automatic quest tracking which will (without manually telling to track particular quests) start tracking the quest once you achieve part of one of the objective. I believe it also stops tracking after either 5(?) mins of not doing anything else towards the quest objectives or completing the quest.

give UberQuest a shot. Original is no longer in development, but UberQuest Reborn 2.00.1 is, and works great.
If you select 'automatically add new quests to minion' you just need to hit the 'show/hide minion' button to show and hide the quest list. Also breaks the list down into 2 windows (one with the list of quests, and the other with the actual quest text), which makes it much easier to read.

If you use Fubar, get the quests module, Best one I've ever used.

I have some stuff at the top left of my screen now that I can't seem to get to go away. It says
"0 cps via lib [4000 bytes avail] 0 cps bypassed lib" anyone have any idea?
*EDIT* I found out that it is DamageMeters, still trying to figure out how to get the message to go away.

Anyone know of a mod that could let me move or hide just 1 button? Because theirs only one mod I have that I can't control it's button on the minimap(coolDown) and I'd love to get rid of it. MoveAnything has too many issues(or did when 2.1 came out) and I could never figure out Visor.

I was wondering if there was an addon that did something similar to this, but maybe went a step further.
Is there a mod that puts a countdown or bar that diminished as the duration of all my HoTs went on near the portrait of the player with the HoT.
I know there are mods like DoTimer, and Chonometer, but those just list the HoTs down a separate frame.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to actually make an addon, but with photoshop I put together an image to try to help explain a little. I was in a hurry, so in the three HoT slots I just used quick place holders for spells. I would think that LifeBloom, Regrowth, and Rejuvenate would be the three HoTs there, and the yellow bar would indicate how long was left.
So if anyone knows if something like this is possible out there - please let me know. And thank you in advance!

You could achieve this using Quartz for your cast bar, it comes with a module called Buffs which you can either attach to your cast bar or make it free and put it where you'd like and attack it near your Unit frames. By default it will track (I think, by default it tracks stuff like my earth shield and healing way)your HoTs.
Then to get debuffs and buffs where you want them Pit Bull does this really well, you can seperate buffs and debuffs and put them in different areas around the unit frame.

I have recently gotten really into using eePanels and was wondering if anyone knows of a good site that can explain how to create those borders on the top and bottom of the frames (seen in the UI forums here) not the basic box border that is available by default. I have looked over the Wowace forums and cant find anything explicit in the 18 pages posted there. Does anyine know of a good guide, visual or otherwise in creating frames like those or a link to a package for those?

Closetgnome and Outfitter are really the only two Aced ones. Although, I myself still use Itemrack because I can't live without the features that it provides. However, a guild buddy of mine highly recommends Closetgnome and is always badgering me to get it. If you don't like what ItemRack is giving you, I'd look into Closetgnome more and see what it has to offer.

There is a new quest addon called bEQL. I haven't personally tried it so I have no idea if it will fit your needs. It is apparently a rewrite of extended quest log and I see from the SS it has a minion and stuff like that. | |
