I'm looking for a mod that will track targets health by the symbol they have. It doesn't need to target the mob itself, it just needs to check if said target has a symbol & If so update the displayed health of that symbol in the mod.
The reason I am looking for this is an easy way to track the health of a core hound pack. I am just mucking around with some mates going back and 4/5 manning MC bosses. Because there are few of us I was hoping for an easy way to track all 5 mobs health simultaneously.
What I would think about the mod showing is 8 horizontal Health bars (Much like perfect raid) which update each time you mouse over a mob with a target.
Does anything like this exist already ?

@Darkhorse: The easiest way to get something like this is with maintank-target unitframes. These are actually built into the default UI, or can be provided by Pitbull, CTRaid, or several other mods.
To use the default ones: type /mt <tankname> 4 times to add the people who will be tanking the corehounds, then from the raid UI, pull out the main tanks window near the bottom.

Thanks Gear, the main problem is there is a good chance there will be less than 5 of us at the time so using the main tank windows will not be optimal. I could possibly use a combination of MT windows, Focus & Target to manage it but an all in one solution would be so much simpler.
We will likely be using just one person to tank all 5 at once

If you use PitBull, you can turn on target frames for the entire party and / or raid, and make them as intricate or simple as you'd like. Alternatively, you can use the Player Targets function of ORA2.

Again thanks, but it still does not solve my problem. I use both these mods in a very similar way already. However this solution still requires people to be fixed to a single target to be able to track it. This might be possible if you have 6 or more people (as the tank is constantly swapping targets) but not when you only have 4.
I am basically looking for a data logging solution that updates each time. It can't be a live system based on peoples current targets. We just don't have enough people to keep an accurate vision of all 5 targets. If only 1 target is 5% more health than the others then the attempt is likely screwed because of their self res ability.
So lets assume there is a tank, healer and 2 DPS. Best Case Scenario - The healer and 2 DPS keep on a static target (Which again is not possible due to needing to single target dps some mobs) while the tank is still swapping targets to gen threat. Including focus you can only track 4 targets at once constantly. However the most realistic scenario is the tank and 2 DPS are constantly swapping targets leading to only being able to track 3 targets (your target, your focus and healers target).
What I am looking for is something that is not based on a persons current target. It will just update the stored health in the mod if it has a raid symbol. Heck even if it is just a text box that says "Yellow - 100%" "Orange - 85%" that would be great. I will have to look at trying to code something tonight.
[Late Edit] I guess something similar to ArenaMaster would be what I am after. Something that just records health after a mouseover but has an added check to see if it is a marked target. I might give editing Arena Master a run tonight.[/Late Edit]

WHAT'S THAT MOD???
I've recently been working alot on improving my UI, since it used to be completely clumped during raids, which really annoyed me. This is the result for the moment: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...208_205129.jpg
Now, I've seen alot of screenshots that show people having customized nametags (the ones that float above people's heads) with a custom font and size. Now, maybe I'm just missing something, but I just can't seem to figure out how to change those tags! I was hoping anyone here knows which mod I'm looking for to do just that.
Another issue I have is the auras that come with Pitbull (I don't like the way they are displayed) so I was wondering if there's a mod out there that enables me to customize the auras a bit more.
This last question might be a bit off topic, but it'd be great if anyone knows the answer. The rangecheck that comes with Pitbull behaves in a strange way for my Warlock, and I can't seem to config it properly. Basically I want it to check the range of one specific spell (like the AGUF range check does) if that is possible.
Thanks in advance

I believe the addon you're looking for is Aloft (wowace). Thanks for asking the question, I've been meaning to try it for a while and now you've reminded me

No I didn't mean the nameplates, but simply the playername and guild text above people's heads. Thanks for the reply though

To do what you want isn't a mod per se, but actually substitute font files.
exerpt from readme file i had in my wow folder, cant remember where it came from now.
1. Make a folder called Fonts
2. Put folder in the following directory structure: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Fonts\
3. Find font(s) you want.
4. Change font name(s):
Find four different fonts, or create four copies of the font file of your choice, place them in the above folder, and rename them to the following names:
● FRIZQT__.ttf (the main UI font: NPCs names; buffs, etc)
● ARIALN.ttf (the normal number font)
● skurri.ttf (the 'huge' number font)
● MORPHEUS.ttf (Mail, Quest Log font)
5. Put those renamed fonts in the Fonts folder
6. Log in. Enjoy.

At the moment i'm using pitbull for my unit frames. (I like it)
However, xperl has a feature that i would really like to have on pitbull (or some other similar mod).
I'm looking for a mod that will allow me to change the size of my debuffs i putt up on the target, and a count down showing how much time left is on the debuff.
Here is a screen shot: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/6383/87188567ib3.jpg
Any ideas?

Quartz can do this for you. It allows you to have a small set of timer bars appear anywhere on the screen, or locked to one of its other casting bars with just this functionality.
EDIT:
Try also "ClassTimers," "Chronometer," or "Hourglass"

Im not sure if this is anything a mod can solve (or its relative legality) but here goes.
I am looking for something that will play a sound on an event like a whisper, ready checks, entering combat. The tricky part is that I want to be aware of it while Im alt-tabbed out writing stuff on EJ. Since I know WoW doesnt like anything going in or out while it is running Im not sure how it would work, or if there is some settings I can change to allow it.

Thanks, i already use Quartz (& with the debuff timers).
However, I would also like to have the xperl feature (showing a larger debuff size on the target of your spells, right under the target frame).
I'll check out those other mods too, thanks

In the WoW Sound and Voice settings from the menu, check "Sound in Background" and you'll be able to hear game sounds while tabbed out.
