I am looking for an addon that tells me the source of an item when I mouse over the item in my character panel or in an inspection window, similar to how the Armory does it.

Does what you need, and more. I could not find one that just adds boss info natively, though.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good addon to add and post quotes (that you add yourself) into a channel of choice.
Searchable and date stamps would be awesome. Havent really been able to find any.

LootDB does this and displays it like the Amory. Mendeleev can also do it but is displayed differently and adds much more info (although it can be configured to just show drops).

Hey, does anyone know of the addon that allows me to click and drag open windows? like the character info and talent page?

I was wondering if there's an addon that can show the closest threat to you as a bar like a mob's HP bar (not a target unit frame, but just the bar floating above a unit's head). Like if I'm tanking, and a DPSer is 77% of my threat, the hp bar is 77% full and orange, if they're 20% of my threat, it's 20% full and green. Just to make my job easier when tanking trash just in case I miss threating one mob, and a feral druid berserk+swiped and pulled aggro on a mob.

You can try Aloft with the threat module enabled. It's still undergoing a rewrite and in beta so it can be a bit buggy at times.

What mod makes the battleground timers?

That doesn't let me actually drag and drop when i want it to, that lets me permanently customize it, which i do not want, i want to have it open up regularly and let me drag it around when its open, and when it closes and reopens, its back to its starting positions

try DragQueen - Addons - Curse

This let you move frames, and after you close he/she/it (???) restores to default position

That's the old RDX. Not sure if the new one (OpenRDX) does anything like this.

I have the powerauras set up (The icons and whatnot) But what about the rest of the UI?

I'm curious to know what add-on adds little letters, such as shown in this screen capture, to a unit frame. In this case, the letters are representing buffs, and I believe they highlight or change colors when the buff is active on the player. I apologize for the tiny screen capture, but I didn't want to make the image too blurry. Thanks in advance!

Those are probably DogTags, added to Pitbull. You can find a multitude of them in the DogTag3 thread.

Looks like ag UnitFrames, but it could easily be any of the others.

These are all extremely basic and you could of found your answer just browsing responses in this thread. Elk Buff Bars, Grid, ag UnitFrames, Fubar, one of the several bar mods with a button facade texture, oRA, Quartz I imagine, Bagnon.
