Visor2 can certainly do this. It is a bit complicatet, but if you worked with eepanels it should be no problem.
You can grab every frame with visor and then just nudge it pixel by pixel, or even set the exact XY-coordinates.

Are there any other combat chat Mods than SimpleCombatLog ?

I like its functionality, but last time I used it it completely ignored anything that wasn't part of 'your' fight. So if someone would kill anything near me it wouldn't show, nor would the infamous [Rogue gains Cold Blood].

I do kind of appreciate knowing what else is going on.

Edit the filters. Specifically, you want to turn on the ones that say 'Other Peoples' in them.

Clearfont2 and the Clearfont2 fontpack will change the fonts on FuBar. The fontpack just gives you additional fonts to choose from; you could just install Clearfont2 and still be able to change the fonts.

Not sure if something like this even exists, but is there a way to put your chat window tabs on the bottom of the chat window instead of having them on the top?

i recently xferred servers after a short stint in a pretty solid guild. the guild master that got us up and running had to take care of IRL issues however and nobody's seen him in quite some time. the guild ended up dying which is why i xferred. i never got to know him well and don't know how to contact him. however i really want this mod he used all the time to keep track of how we died because a lot of times people had no clue how they died and it angered him when they didn't know. what he would do when people stuttered 'i.. uh.. i.. uh .. i'm not sure how i died' he would post a report with the last 10 events that happened to them before they died. at the top of the report it said 'expiration report, last 10 events' or something to that effect and would list in consecutive order the last 10 things that happened to whoever it was he wanted the information about. i've looked all over for this mod, read through the description of every single combat log mod listed on every addon web-site and still can't find anything that is capable of this report. so on to my question.. what's that mod??? if you've ever heard of it and could tell me where to download it i would greatly appreciate it.

Ran into a minor problem with my current UI.

Due to not showing any action bars, I can't see when cooldowns are up (most noticeable on my rogues... it's fairly nice knowing when Gouge/Blind/Kidney Shot and the likes are back up again).

However... all the timers I've tried so far show the -duration- of those effects, which is -not- what I'm interested in at all.

The cooldown text timer I had was nice as a visual, but that doesn't really help when you don't see the action bars.

DoTimer has a nice built in Cooldown timer which should show what your looking for.

Picked up DoTimer and gave it a whirl - does the job nicely so far, though I'm a bit worried about the lack of updates and the upcoming patch.

DoTimer has been around a longass time. If it ever breaks, it'll get fixed. The other cool thing is that you can disable the dotimer, notifications, communications, etc modules, and just use Ash_Core and Cooldowns which is what I do.

Was using Chronmeter for the dots etc, though I might disable that one and start using the DoTimer part of it as well. Currently mostly just running the Cooldowns section of it.

If you're using Parrot for your combat text, then you can enable the feature it has that shows your ability cooldowns. For example, I've a small scroll area at my character's feet that I've configured to have the message "XXXAbility Ready Now!" flash like a crit, which helps me a bunch.
