On post 19 of "Post Your UI" there is a nice layout that I've tried to mimic. Just want to ask a few questions about it that you guys may be able to answer.
Is there actually a link here that I'm totally missing that goes to the UI you're talking about, or would I have to go to page 19 of the "Post Your UI" thread and guess which one it is? My apologies if I'm just being blind.
I'm looking for a very simple mod that can overlay onto unit frames with the current number of people targeting that character. I'm using Pitbull and I realize that using the DogTag modifier NumTargeting will show the number of people in the group/raid targeting that player, but I'm looking for a method to show on the party how many opponents are targetting each person (for the arena).
There are also modules for treasure, mining, opening (eg chests and lockers, etc.), fishing, and possibly others, which seem to have as standard a list where you can uncheck anything you want filtered out.
I personally use TinyTip because of its simplicity but for lots of detail and info like health, you wanna check out CowTip which can be found on the wowace site.
I personally use TipTac for exactly the same reasons (having previously been a TinyTip user). You can get it here, if you'd like to try it out:
I haven't tried it for a while, but since I got rid of Parrot I've been thinking about having another look. It was the first scrolling text mod that allowed multiple scrolling areas, and during the time I used it (over a year) it was always one of the mods that just seemed to work without the litany of issues many (most?) other mods experienced.
(Actually, I think I'll get that right now. I've even convinced myself to try it out. I should be in sales! As long as it was a sales job where all my clients were exactly like me.)

Something that isn't quite what you're looking for, but might be a solution to the problem you're trying to solve, is Cirk's Targetz:
Wait... no it's not. I just re-read your post, and you're looking for something that can tell you how many enemies are targetting a friendly player, right? If that's the case, I don't know any addon that provides this information, and would think it unlikely that there is one. The only way I can think for a mod to be able to (attempt to) show this value would be to constantly scan all hostile units within range to check their current target and compile a list from that. The thing is, I'm not sure how you would get that list in the first place.
[a couple of minutes later...]
OK, I've checked, and there is no way for a mod to automatically make a list of hostile units in range.
You were asking specifically for Arena though, so I think it would be technically possible to achieve what you wanted if the user were to do something like, target each player they're fighting to add them to the list of opposing team members; and from that cycle through and update a list of targetted people on your team. But, it's a bit convoluted, very specific to Arena, and I seriously doubt anyone's done it. (Love to hear about it if they have, or if there's some other way, though!)

My understanding is that it is possible to build such a list (ala Proximo) - my assumption is that information regarding the target of nearby enemies is possible to obtain (even if by invisibly /target, /assist through coding) at least while they are actively targetting and engaged in combat (which is all I would care about in the arena).
Thanks for your response though - I'm hoping someone out there has developed something simple and would be willing to share. I just don't have the time to dig into lua coding, but it certainly seems fairly straightforward.

Even if this were possible, how would you know what to target? Ahh, right, I see what you mean:

Right, I guess you could watch out for activity of any sort and then use that as your list of units to gather information about (although that would only work if they're within range and do something visible to you - initially if they just stood there and targetted, a mod wouldn't be able to automatically register that).
Unfortunately though (and although I'm very sure about this, I'm happy to be corrected), it's still not possible as addons are not able to select new targets automatically during combat - it has to take some form of user interaction (moving the mouse, clicking a button, using a key binding) with the new (well, fairly new, getting on now) secure frames. It used to be possible, but not any more (which is why a whole load of addons broke when they implemented the changes - remember everyone moaning about not being able to use Decursive anymore?). (There are things that can be done to achieve close to the same functionality that existed but it's all a lot more complicated and hackish, and a lot of developers are just unwilling to go against the spirit of the changes anyway. (Went a bit off topic there, oops.))

Reason: added note about watching for activity being unreliable
I have been PvPing (Arena/BG) for awhile now (almost a year) and I am looking for some ideas of some MUST-HAVE PvP addons that you guys might use. I do not really have anything in mind, I was just hoping for some suggestions or direction.
Anything Shaman-specific (Enhancement spec'd) would be great also.
Here is a picture of the kind of mods I am looking for. I know that it is small and unclear in some aspects, but maybe someone can identify some of the mods.
For certain fights in BT/Hyjal we try and spread the resto shaman bloodlusts around.
Is there a mod that will let you setup different group settings and apply them at different points in the fight? Also around the same train of thought, do the same thing for say a AB premade group, have a set group that is automatically set when you enter the BG?
I was wondering if any of you know of a mod that can show me raid mana and/or healer mana? I am currently using Xperl UF and love it but am still looking for raid mana mod.

XRS (X Raid Status) does that and a little bit more, very customizable, ace, etc.
MoB plays horribly here (I know they're a great team, etc., but the priest is putting himself in harm's way with no good reason and Xecks apparently falls off the bridge midway through).... still, this is Gclol's perspective vs. MoB's PMR: mob1.avi - FileFront.com
I'm curious as to what the spell alert mod used in this video is. As far as I can gather it's a private mod, as the closest I can find to it are SCT SA and Witchunt.
As you can see I've kinda got my UI set up the way it feels most comfortable. My question i have isn't what's that mod, but a problem im having with a mod(I hope this is the right place to ask this). When i use my /focus macro i get this error
Message: Error: AddOn Prat attempted to call a forbidden function (FocusUnit()) from a tainted execution path.
The same thing happens if i try to use any macro, or even typing /tar (palyers name).
Is there somehting im missing, or am i just dumb, I'd imagine it's the later. Any words of wisdom would greatly help.
Another question is: Is there a way to fade Aperture to say 50% so that i might be able to see whats behind the boarder, or is there another viewport mod that will do the smae as Aperture but a bit more customizable?
Oh, and one last question, if you look at my chat log you can see Prat shows anyones chat line as say
(Time) < players name:line number(41 for instance)> playes text blah blah.
Is there a way to not show the number line, I've looked for a while to try to find a way to modify it, but either I'm overlooking it, or it doesn't exist.

Having 39...41 appear like that is just a fluke, in a default Prat setup those numbers should be the players level, not a line number
