I'm trying to find an ace'd version of WarlockAlert...what it basically does is give you some combination of visual/audio/text warnings when you proc Nightfall or Backlash. I found WitchHunt, but I really like having a visual (screen border) effect. Are there any other spell alert mods with this capability? (I'm looking for something based on Ace so it'll work with 2.4 and the combat log changes)

This is very easy to do using SCT custom events or I believe with Parrot, as well, although I have less experience with it. Get a .lua editor and open the SCT file by the name of "events_config" or something like that and there are detailed instructions on how to create a custom event. Another mod would be Power Auras which would display an aura or even a customized text pop-up on certain combat log events.

I use parrot, and it gives a warning (you don't have to edit anything) indeed. Big purple in the middle of the screen.

Next to that I use Necrosis, which also has a audio warning next to a small ugly visual warning

Hmm, sorry, guess I'm not 100% clear, although I thank you for your suggestions

I actually don't want a text alert, because I'm busy enough staring at other things that I tend to miss text alerts (plus I don't need more confusion). I like the subtle screen-edge effect because then I can just ignore it until I have time. I was just looking at PowerAuras (Continued), which looks promising, I was just hoping there was an Ace equivalent...I know ParserLib will be working properly with 2.4, but who knows when independent mods will catch up ><

Whisper "invite" (without quotes) to someone and an invite is automatically given,

A type of spam blocker that requires anybody that whispers you to whisper a word (any word the player that has this mod chooses, I assume) before any whispers can go through to the player.

Sorry for not having screenshots, these are just addons i've seen while playing WoW and I don't even know if those mods are up to date/exist anymore

Automaton (Ace) accepts invites from anyone in your guild or friends list.

WRUGS is the addon you are looking for;

If you whisper the person he will be added to the "approved list" so if you got any addon that autoresponds it may cause problems for you. For example SpamMeNot might whisper back to the person whispering you that its checking his details (the level) to see if he is allowed to whisper you. Since SpamMeNot whispers to the person, wrugs will add that player to your approved list.
The same may happen during bossfights when DBM tells that you are in a fight and the boss is on xx% etc, the person will end up on your whitelist.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a mod that will allow me to change the character portrait in my unit frames to the class icon for that class ? (eg. Daggers for rogue, sword for warrior)

i see that he has some sort of scrolling combat text but i am unable to find the addon that displays the pictures of the abilitys.. ex the hemo icon when you hemo, along with the damage it inflicts.
sorry i think that was worded a little confusingly.. anyways, i also was curious as to the bars that he uses, are they bongos? not talking about the unit frames but the action bars, thanks
oh another thing... whats the mod that gets rid of the annoying red text that appears when you spam something? when it says like "this ability is not yet ready"

No idea what his UI looks like but Parrot, SCDT, Mik's Scrolling Battle Text all do the first thing. Not sure about actionbars cos I am not searching for a shot of his ui, but Errormonster will get rid of the error text.

Depends which unit frames you're using. If it's the default, I don't know - maybe SimpleUnitFrames? If it's PitBull, it's an option in the Portraits module.

Hi guys,

There are two things I wld like to ask :

1/ I look for the mod that can show the hit rating/ spell dmg/crit ... of the inspected character. Currently when you inspect a player, it only shows gears but not stat. Now I want stat also.

2/ Is there any way to hide the Title bar of Recount (where all the ugly buttons are) ?

I'm looking for this very old visual enhancement, I don't even remember whether it was an addon or not. All it does, is make a distinct, _huge_ visual effect for unlooted corpses that you are able to loot. This is really useful if you are grinding lots of mobs at a time, and the corpses are piling up under your feet, and you don't know if you left any bodies unlooted.

Hi,

I'm looking for 2 PVP related addons (although I suppose they could find use in a raid scenario as well)

1. An addon to automatically print in party/raid chat when you get certain debuffs on you (stuns, silences, etc) and also let the party know when there is a set time remaining on the debuff.

E.g.

[Rykimaru] : I have <Kidney Shot>
[Rykimaru] : <Kidney Shot> expires in 2 seconds

2. An addon to print in party/raid chat when you successfully/unsuccessfully interrupt a spell cast

E.g.

[Rykimaru] : <Flash of Light> by [RandomPally] interrupted !

I've seen some people in random BGs use these macros, but when I asked them abt it, they told me they were "addon-impaired" and had no idea which addon did what.

While using arkinventory I've noticed that it has added how much a stack of something vendors for but I prefer to use onebag and was hoping there was an addon that did this seperately so I could stop using it.

Also, I found an addon which sort of does what I wanted, just in case anyone is interested. It's called AuratoChat (available at wowace) but to route output to chat channels, u need a library embedded in LootWhore (see link below)

Sorry if this has already been posted in the 87 pages of mods... but I'm looking for the mod that takes all the addon buttons around your minimap and puts them all into a nice little bag. Just 1 bag for all the crap and not 100 buttons.
